In this video I want share with you ten things you can do to prepare you for the terrain park. It's been over a months since I last was snowboarding in the terrain park, so I've been doing these ten things today to prepare. I'm also snowboarding with Yanick and Nirav who are just getting back into the terrain park and snowboard tricks after a long lay off.

I’ve been snowboarding since I was 9 and for all those 5 years haven’t once tried to hit a jump or anything. The only places that are in a good dinstance to wehere I live have terrain parks right under skii lifts so it amps up the pressure a lot (also considering I’m usually one of few girl snowboarders where I go). Your videos have help me out soso much with boosting my confidence in snowboarding and I’ve been trying out more and more tricks! Thanks so muchhhh!!

For anyone ballin' on a budget, padded compression shorts or football padded compression shorts are good alternatives to crash pants.

As a football player who has tried this, I found that although it does protect your tailbone, it doesn't protect your ass as much. It also hinders your movement quite a bit. I would only recommend if you're really worried about your tailbone.

I'd personally like to get more height in my Ollies. One big thing I have noticed is starting out on a small low consequence feature check for any problems you are having and try to eliminate them before getting into the larger features. I always have a little issue with my approach at first.

Just put your board on in your house and practice. Get your legs strong. Do leg lifts with you're board attached to strenghten you're core, do high reps of squats with even just body weight to strenghten your legs and help maintain balance (5 sets of 20). Lunges in all 4 planes. If you're not snowboarding regulRly you need to condition you're muscles so it's natural on the mountain.

If you don't have a board at home, tie your legs together with something so they are the same distance apart as on a board. Then stand on one leg, the same way you would do on a press. This will Improve your balance.

I would argue to minimize your turns before a box or rail. Set up at a height you can ride straight, so you are focused on the rail and heading in the right direction.
