Mohamed Hassan is now the principal of a highschool about 30 mins from my house in upstate NY. Hes a really nice guy and is super down to earth. Shame his character was badly timed. Hes Italian as well not even Arabic lol
Wow for real?? That's actually crazy to hear, I always wondered what happen to him that's when wwe was still good and honestly he was a really good character
Buff was funny when he first got paired with Papa Pump they did some funny stuff in WCW, my fave was when buff was in a wheel chair claiming to be hurt and got tipped over and pump was like buff are you ok and he got on one knee and did that pose and smiled I know it doesn't sound like much but for some reason it worked I never got to.see it again.
+Caleb Th3168 Please, Sandow was hardly a credible threat when he faced Cena. He'd been a loser for months while holding that briefcase, so in now way should he have beaten Cena. Personally, I feel Sandow's demise came from losing the Andre Battle Royal to Big Show at WM 31. He was white hot doing the Mizdow thing and everyone wanted him to win the trophy, but Show won instead for reasons of dumb. He never recovered from that.
I have a precise moment for you. Sting, the second he signed the contract with WWE because he was right all along. All they wanted to do was screw him over.
I dont recall Karl Anderson ever being part of WWE..but youre right about Gallows..the guy was used decent in TNA and perfectly in NJPW..the whole "Club" thing was just like Sting wrong from the get go..firstoff..they made it as AJ was the leader of it..when every fan with a brain KNOWS the Machinegun Karl Anderson was the leader of the Bullet Club..and now that Seth is back..this furthers mean AJ Styles career in WWE is done for!..Samoa Joe might be living it up as a NXT Champ(a belt WWE clearly acknowledges as just an upstart title..in essence it's as relevant as TNA King of the Mountain/TV/insert name here title)..when Joe comes in he will be given a decent push..and eventually pushed straight out the door..or as we know..Bagwell'd!..the only wrestler non WWE i see getting a main event push is Kevin Owens..hes a company guy and tbh i think he kisses ass behind the scenes..but as for the rest TNA, NJPW etc alumni..theyre doomed!
Chicken Bubblegum And when or if that ever happens..people will think wrestling is dead..because 70% of North American wrestling fans believe WWE is the only wrestling in the world..Vince has in essence brainwashed alot of fans into his "universe"..which is why alot of them are just WWE fans/stans and always put down TNA(despite not actually watching an episode and seeing that its been just as good as a WWE show most times). or ROH which is easily superior of WWE, or NJPW which is more highly valued as a wrestling company. And even Lucha Underground..the company WWE so desperately wanted to become(mixing movie type elements into wrestling)
+tehfawkinman Which should tell you something about wrestling culture. The guy should have been a face, based on his introduction. He kay-faybed valid points about discrimination and the "American Dream" (The concept, not Dusty)
+Samael 11 An Arab face? That would never happen... Sami is Syrian, I doubt WWE will ever mention that... :p Not as part of his gimmick anyway. Not sure if it was mentioned or not, but I doubt it.
lets be honest, fake diesel and fake razor were never meant to be popular. it was a massive troll job on wwe's part and an attempt to piss off scott and kev irl most likely
Let's be honest, if Vince could've pushed them to popularity heights beyond Hall and Nash, he would've. It's not about being a troll, it's about Vince's fragile ego.
+Megitsune The most annoying part is that he was actually italian. He could have gotten the same heat by playing an arrogant italian and the chances of it backfiring from worldly events drops dramatically.
+Marveryn Gotta remember the times, though. 2005 was the early years of the Iraq War and everyone was still in full-on Patriot Mode. Sure, they could have repackaged him, but he probably would have suffered NUCLEAR levels of X-Pac Heat. If he came back nowadays with a different gimmickhe'd most likely have no issue, though I believe he's officially retired from wrestling.
Yeah, dude says the character was "offensive" before the whole masked attack thing. How...? The Muhammad Hassan character was one of the most nuanced things WWE has ever done. Shame it all ended the way it did.
+Pinhead Larry Least I find it sad that he botched once and was fired from it while some others like Sin Cara botch all the time but are kept in company.
He had a bad car crash in 2012 and still has trouble walking, like many others his physical problems have been helped by DDP. These days he runs a bar and a couple of years ago stopped two armed robbers from exiting a neighbouring business till the police arrived.
Hassan was the one who was Really Screwed by the Corporation he busted his ass like they told him could have re-invented him because if they can re-invent Primo & Epico 3 times! They could have for him after all he was Italian could have had something to do with that! A REAL WASTE of a GREAT Talent!
that's Vince putting the last nail in WCW's coffin! please will another bored billionaire team up with some pros and create real competition so WWE can actually do something innovative!?!
He seems like an alright guy, but people forget half the reason we like Adam - he is the best, by FAR, at reading the scripts. Better than this American high-voiced 16-year-old, whose dull narration instantly turns this back into all the other clickbait garbage websites. Personality shines through with Adam, with almost everyone else it sounds like they're struggling to read out a school project in front of a class or it just sounds...bland and generic. This video sounds like some interchangeable Watchmojo or Buzzfeed or, hell, even Whatculture (who are still clickbait shit at heart) video.
I don't know why they didn't bring Marc Copani (Muhammad Hassan) back with a new gimmick after killing off the Hassan character. The man is Italian; simply shave the beard and he doesn't look Arabic anymore. They were able to repackage Jamal of Three Minute Warning as Umaga; I see no reason why Copani couldn't have come back to the company under a new gimmick.
Great heel, unfortunately at a time where the world is on terror alert and then the 7/7 bombing happened and then there was no way the WWE could continue with that kind of heel schtick.
Lance storm. the time stone cold was GM. He came out pretended to fall asleep on the stage and snoring in the mic then proceed to chant boring. In the middle of one of his matches
+Jaden32 Yeah he for sure should've been repacked. He was good on the mic, intelligent and could draw good heat, was a good actor too. And was good in the ring. They should've made him a rich ass Arab, too good for American soil, with new ladies in his arms each week. A prime Ric Flare / Iron Sheik / Tiger Ali Singh kinda character. That would've been really been good I think.
Yeah, the whole 'Taker timing was bad, but it was out of WWE's hands. WWE intentionally did pretty bad things like blackface with DX and having a wrestler (forgot who) have a miscarriage in kayfabe.
That doesn't count because Punk just straight up walked out on WWE after that, his career didn't end on account of Kane emulating him from the Royal Rumble. No one thought that was the end for Punk nor did it make Punk look bad in any real way.
+Tommy Guerrera Not to pile on but I believe he lasted a long ass time in that Rumble, to the point where it seemed he could be heading towards a win (or at least the final four if he wasn't). This list is just for the people who were obviously on their way out.
+Pale Horse and? If he's happy why does it matter if there are 10,000 or 200 people in the crowd? That just shows how bad WWE management and creative is now a days.
Why do people think they just replaced Razor and Diesel like they didn't think we would notice? It was part of the storyline that EVERYONE knew they were fake. JR, who was semi-heel at the time, made a big claim that he brought the two back, and when the imposters showed up, JR was playing it off like nothing was weird, while the other commentators were giving him a hard time. My point is, as often as WWE assuming we're a bunch of idiots, in this case they weren't literally trying to act like they were the same guys. Their fakeness was part of a storyline.
***** But they weren't *literally* trying to replace them. It was tongue-in-cheek the entire time. Everyone seems to think that Vince actually just threw out two dudes dressed as them expecting no one to notice, which isn't the case.
+dragon61rider I think it was done to discredit their legacy because they were massively popular when they jumped ship and I guess Vince wanted to turn them into a joke with the fake ones
+westben2000 Honestly, Andrew didn't do a bad job. I just think he needs his own shtick for top 10 lists. Adam already has the bits in this format locked down. Also, I am more curious about what happened to Simon.
WWE died when WCW died. The lack of competition made Vince lazy and the business reverted back into it's failing ways, before Scott Hall and Kevin Nash made history by joining the WCW and starting the NWO. WCW forced WWF to adapt and adopt a new way of doing things, and it was the mid 90's when things were much more real and raw (no pun intended). Nowadays, society is weak and lives in a fantasy land full of memes and social media.
+christopher wilkinson ...well no , just NO, Adam is the best. But this is only andrews 2nd video and his 1st one was/is utter shit...go watch it, its about MIKE foley
The really sad part about Muhammad Hassan was that they went with the played out heel gimmick in the first place. In his debut vignettes, they had a very intriguing tweener gimmick all set to roll, then inexplicably made him Iron Sheik 2.0 out of nowhere.
+Kariya M Because his actual character was trying to make a point that middle-eastern people in the media are often shown as bad guys and wanted to end that and prove that plenty of middle-eastern people aren't bad. Somehow WWE turned that into him being a bad guy
+Vincent Smith then why did he always attack other wrestlers for no reason? His gimmick was always an insincere guy from the beginning. At least he got tons of t.v. time and got rich.
Popped up in my feed in July 2018, the Wednesday after Drew McIntyre competed in a match to determine if he'd be declared #1 contender for the WWE Universal Title. So this was fun.
a guy jokes about benoit dying by strangling himself and gets 100 likes but a lil joke about roman gets me nothing but hate from pg roman lovers man this comment section is cancer Im done
Man fuck you! It's totally ok to dislike Reigns but to wish that he broke his neck and his career ended because you dislike his character!? That's honestly fucked up. It's a fucking character you piece of shit and wishing something like that on a genuine person is horrible. I hate wrestling fans like you ffs. I barely consider myself apart of the wrestling community for shit like this.
Astral Emperor that was actually like the only episode I remember I happened to watch wwe first time like in 10 years and seen that, I still wonder to this day what had happened
+ed cap Back then WWE always used her as support for all divas like Kelly Kelly so she really got shafted in company. Maybe with rise on credible women's wrestling in WWE we might eventually see her again in company.
Honorary mentions: Braden Walker (and his bad promos/matches ) in ECW. Mike Knox when DX buried him (WHO was that?), ULtimo Dragon's wrestlemania slip, Bart Gunn's shoot against Butterbean.
What about Brett Hart, when he spat on Vince's face, because Vince lied to him and made him lose. Or when Owen Hart fell and died. No joke, that's literally is pretty much a defining career ending moment there.
Or when Chris Benoit murdered his family and then himself. That’ll cause some problems. 60% of the time a murder/suicide will end your career every time.
Maaan, that KO Butterbean delivered to Bart Gunn was a thing of beauty. You can actually see the moment when he punches Bart's soul clean out of his body. The Brawl for All actually killed *two* careers. After getting knocked out for real, any tough guy cred Dr Death had before ended up completely evaporating and his career fell apart soon after.
He was also in Fearless and fought Jet Li in it, and was in Troy and died in brutal fashion that set the stage for Brad Pit's character. He's had an alright movie career to be honest
