Always feels crazy when you do a 1 year update and I realize it's been a year since I saw these videos. Man does time fly... I tend to jump around with youtube channels as they loose interest overtime. With your videos it's different. I've only bought one product because of your review, and that was the Phillips Norelco one blade (love it btw). Your videos/your personality feels very real and honest. I enjoy the videos even though I don't guy the products. Can't believe your almost at 500k already. I love to see were the channel has come. I wish I could say I got here before the purple pillow explosion. One thing I can say is I've been hooked ever since!

I received a Popiel Chopper as a "gag gift" for my wedding shower---it was about 16 years old at the time and it was used (part of the gag was not only that it was already old but used and purchased for 15 cents from the SA Thrift store). A spritz of olive oil from time to time and 48+ years later and IT STILL WORKS! Always enjoy your reviews. Absolutely great fun and charming, and oh, yeah! You've saved me significant $$ since I started watching your reviews.

Just wanted to say you're the best reviewer on RU-vid! Every other review channel I've watched either takes it way too seriously, being negative and critical of everything from the start; acts too goofy and stupid and ends up using half of the products wrong; and the others seem to go out of their way to make the products fail, and it's all so obvious. But you have just the right level of humor and you give every product a legitimate chance to perform well. You're honest when you don't think it's going to work very well but you give it the same level of serious attention as the higher end stuff. And you manage it all while still being an entertaining watch. Apologies for being so long winded, but i wanted to let you know that i appreciate all your work and effort. I don't have money for many extraneous purchases, but i have bought a few items based solely on your reviews and have been very happy with them. I hope they keep the products coming for you to review. Cheers!

Sometimes the funny ones are good for a laugh (which we all need from time to time), but I do agree that James does give the products every chance to succeed. Even when they fail spectacularly, it isn’t because he didn’t try every possibility.

oh my god, I just had a rush of endorphins when I saw the title. This is my drug of choice lol. I remember when I used to only watch your 1 year later videos to save time but became hooked and binged all of your videos. They are top tier quality vids but these yearly reviews are godly lmao. Have you seen his gargage where he keeps all lf the stuff that he has bought and tried for a review video his garage is full lol. I to would be asking what everything is that was laying around his house ha and it would be super fun to go thru his garage as well with hundreds and hundreds of gagets to go thru and try and test out in his gargae i would be in there all night tinkering around with things I to havw ADD so i for sure would be super distracted with all of the gadgets and trying them out. Accept me i would be more interested in looking thru and tinkwring with elwctrinics and rech stuff and tools.

I agree about the "Rotato Express." I went out and bought one after I saw you review it. I have some arthritis and this thing makes it soooooooooo easy. By the time you cut one up for mashed potatoes, the Rotato Express has just about finished peeling the next one...FAST and fun.

Hey James I think you need to use the gloves hot water I mean the potatoes Wonder cooked not the gloves or the water just when there cooked and when they're hot were those cooked by any chance if it Cooks then you James tell me or anybody in the comments tell me that those really just don't work I would really appreciate it if anybody would tell me please.

Its funny because when I take my hot coffee in a thermos like the Contigo, it literally remains scolding hot for over 2 hours, but if I keep it in a regular to-go cup it becomes cold way too quickly. I found a happy medium with ceramic to-go cups now for coffee

I have the Pampered Chef version of the chopper (made by Zyliss) that I got in 1998. It’s a workhorse. Your OXO has the same feature mine does in that with each chop, the blades rotate slightly resulting in a more even chop. I use mine to chop nuts, and to mince onions, garlic and peppers frequently. I guess it depends on how much you cook and what kind of cooking you do. I find it useful when I’m making meatloaf or meatballs because don’t want big chunks of veg and with the arthritis in my wrists, it just makes chopping so much easier. Same with nuts for cakes or cookies.

I use the starfrit potatoes express. Last fall we peeled 5 bushels of apples using it. I used it all year to peel apples and potatoes so much I wore all. I just ordered another. I have hand problems and this is a lifesaver. My 95 yr old mama makes apple pie every week. On the apples you still have to core and peel top and bottom.. Side note. I use the peels and core for juice for apple syrup and jelly.

Awh you should always leave Daisy's picture there. Way to tug at my heart strings. Could you do more animal related videos? 💜 Oh here's a fun one. Test The Yeti tumbler and the Zak! Tumbler I found it at Target. Personally I love the Zak! Tumbler better. It is $10 and the yeti is $30 I believe.

Call me a simple man, but I literally never knew scoring hot dogs was a thing until I found this channel. Every time James (name twins, ayyy) reviews another hot dog scoring gadget, my mind gets re-blown. I guess it was engrained in me that hot dogs are a cheap, quick meal mostly geared towards the kids, so doing something as elaborate as scoring them just baffles me. I don't even really like hot dogs, but something inside me needs to do it to see if it changes anything 😂😂

Have 2 of the Contigo travel mugs for over 2 years. Gosh, time flies! Keeps coffee hot and I don't worry about spills. If anything were to break, I'd def purchase again.

The Socketshelf has been crazy good in my bathroom! I didn't think much about I when I bought it but it charges my phone, loud speaker, electric toothbrush, Waterpark, Salt lamp, waterfall. Glade plug in, sanitizer, and automatic kitty litter. Plus the shelf can hold anything from my phone, toiletries, speaker and just about everything I need within a short distance while in the bathroom. When I had guests over I even put a basket of mints, cologne, tiny mouthwash and sanitizer wipes! For something I thought I wouldn't find any use for, I surprisingly use it the most! I had to buy a second one because my wife commandeered it!

I got my son the grass slippers for a present. The first day wearing them he was asked if they needed to be watered. He replied the sweat from his feet was enough and provided nutrients. He loves them and likes the way they feel.

I love my Rotato !! One of my top 10 kitchen gadgets. It really works. They now have a cordless version, which I have, so you're not tethered to your kitchen outlet. I admit, I'm clumsy and when I'm making a pile of potato salad, I can walk away, let the Rotato do its thing and I can do something else rather then stand there with the traditional potato peeler. Thought the Socket Shelf was a great idea. Never heard about that before. I read that the Coldest thermal bottle was the best. I missed your review, so I'm going to look that up. Love these videos !!! Yeah, you're right about the bottle opener on the bottom of the slides. Talk about unsanitary, gads.

I have a couple of Contigos and love them. One is my every day water bottle and I've used it constantly for at least 2 years. Even after a few drops onto concrete and the bottom has a couple dents, it still doesn't drip at all. It keeps water so cold I don't ever fill it more than half full of ice because it doesn't melt at all so I just have to fill it up more often. Even then, it'll still have some ice left 24 hours later. The other is my workout water bottle. It's smaller but has a built in clip which I love.

I don't like the regular potato peelers any more because, who ever makes them, has too big of a gap and too much product comes off of the potato or carrot. I love the magic peelers, no matter who makes them. They work great.

I enjoy watching your videos simply because they are of every day ordinary circumstances that can bring you pleasure or displeasure. I had one of those Ronco cups back in the 70's. it was actually pretty cool for carrying drinks like kool-aid and such. I could have it in the basket on my bike, and not spill everywhere.

I LOVE the rotato express! Great for apples too, it hurts my hands to peel for to long ago when making potato salad etc it's beyond amazing. Yes with odd shapes sometimes it misses spots but easier then peeling by hand

I had the oxo chopper, have had it several years, and just tossed it. It worked okay until the blade started to dull, which with that shape is roughly impossible to sharpen. But even from the start it was a hassle to clean, when I could just pull out a knife and have whatever it was cut up just as quick. it also sometimes required the knife anyway to get something in a small enough piece for it to get started.

I didnt know about this video when I bought my peeler (electric roto peeler) and I love it.. (except for the noise/sound) I set it to peel while I cut it up and dump right into hot water for mash. for funny shaped spuds i do some manual cutting to get rid of dark spots but really love it, just wish it was quiet!

I had reason to use the USB fan during the summer. Got it in time for the final 2-3 weeks of outside work. Had it plugged into my USB solar charger - Worked like a *charm* the *whole* time, though the range was limited. Wasn't expecting much, mind you, it *is* tiny. Continued using it at home. Had it plugged into my TV, messed up and stopped working after about a month. Plugged it into a wall outlet - no change.

I use the contigo for my daily coffee mug I love it because I also add creamer and I sometimes mix it by tossing it up and letting it spin in the air and not a single drop and love how cheap it was for the quality that it is

My GF and i use our oxo food chopper almost daily, its perfect for dicing vegetables, especially on taco Tuesdays. sad to see its in the boneyard. Though its a little but of a pain to clean, i recommend taking it out and giving it another shot! Love all the great reviews.

For a thermos type product I love my buba jug. I fill it with ice and water and it still has ice left in it 3 days later. It keeps my water cold for about 60 hours. Note: that's in a room that's always kept at 73 degrees F. It may not last that long under hotter conditions. My husband has a smaller bubba that he uses for coffee, it stays hot for about 12 hours. He uses a French press, so he has to put the coffee into something else, both so it stays hot, and to keep it from getting too strong.

I think I might try the rotato express and the nano tape. The hand crank peeler works great for apples because they are round but no so great for potatoes.

I've had a problem with Contigo welds not holding and the vacuum not being held. After that happens coffee won't stay hot for an hour. If Contingo would fix their defective welding they'd have a first-rate product. I've owned two Contigo cups, both had the same problem.

As far as the customizable animation fan is concerned, I'm pretty sure I've seen another RU-vid do a spot on it. It's a neat enough little piece of eye candy to have running in the corner if you operate a shisha lounge or a diner or something.

I'm not sure, but my mom's old chop-o-matic was sharp as sin. It chopped up MUSCLE men when I was a kid. But by the time it was (probably) thrown away, it was really dull, and cut like yours did.
