Darth Revan is my all time favorite Star Wars character. His story arc is amazing, his force abilities, why he wears the Mandalorian mask, and I also like his lightsaber design.

Revan is an absolute fan favorite. Yes he is originally form an old game, but his story is far better than most other star wars characters. He is also in the online old republic game that is much newer than the first game from 2003.

The black series are not really meant for dueling. That’s how the blades get black spots ur best bet is to buy a stunt hilts especially for little man.

It sucks you didn't like this saber. Revan is my favorite character from when I was a kid playing KOTOR. The lightsaber design may be uncomfortable but it is 100% accurate to the original design in the game. I dont use the blade I just keep mine on the stand on my desk but the smooth swing on yours is crazy. I can't believe it's that bad because mine is the exact opposite and not in a good way. I barley swing mine and it does the hitting effect. Mine is way too sensitive lol but like I said I just keep mine on my stand because I just love the character and his lightsaber.

The thing is that the saber costs the same as any other Black Seroes/Force FX saber. For them to add these extra features and not raise the price is a win in my book.

I hope they release a Darth Malgus one someday

Was your revan saber more on the quiet side? After owning multiple force FX lightsabers, mine seems awful quiet compared to the dooku saber or the windu saber. Would like the feedback to know if I need to exchange mine!

I got a force fx elite kylo ren saber. It used to work fine but now when I hit stuff it glows rainbow colours and shuts off and doesn’t turn on unless I re twist the blades in. Anyone else have the same issue?

That ultimate works is a pretty penny with the installed electronics. I mostly display my sabers at my age so the elite fx works. Preordered the upcoming sidious saber 😈

Ended up getting this from Best Buy today. It was on sale at the lowest price I have ever seen. With all the negatives, at least it’ll be a nice display piece and “a fine addition to my collection”. Always glad to watch your videos!

i dont know if its mine or not, i purchase it when hasbro relaunches this saber in 2022 and it seems the sensitivity improves

Only issue with mine the Sabre part doesn’t seat right in hilt once the ring Is screwd down so I put a rubber o ring on the blade just under the screw ring to keep pressure on the connection! It workd an stiffens up the blade a bit but I’ll return it after lockdown an see if the new one does same thing

A couple of things I have got to disagree with for the sake of getting or NOT getting this saber. AND being a UK resident: 1. The spikes - generally if you want a lightsaber which has a cool look (and being Darth Revans) then wanting to have those spikes is a no-brainer for the cool aesthetic. Although I understand the point you're making of if a child was to play with it etc it could be dangerous. The crystal - now to me, the crystal is an EXTRA feature which gives this saber more to do. So to have something EXTRA for your money is again, a no brainer (money explained later, UK-wise). Sensitivity - I do agree that the sensitivity in this one is really off.... to a point. Meaning that funnily enough mine is the opposite to yours where it just won't stop making the sound effects even with minimal movement haha. The unique blade and battery - whilst it does suck that it can't be shared with other sabers, living in the UK means we have got VERY LITTLE options for lightsabers unless we want to pay extortionate prices to have something from the U.S etc. So this is one of those things where you're used to by now. Now the cost is what I've got to make a big point about - as I've said, we have barely any choices of stores or places to get sabers from in the UK so custom sabers are VERY rarely on UK Ebay and to have a custom one made would cost an extra 20-30% of its total through customs over here. But whereas in America your Black series cost on average $150, or this Elite one is $250, legacy hilts are (I'm guessing $150 ish?). If you lived in the UK we have to pay for e.g at the moment: £175 for the new dooku Black series. £200 for Revans which is what we've come to expect. Kylo Elite saber was actually £260. If I wanted just a legacy hilt to come from America it would cost me almost £300 after shipping charges AND customs duties (without a blade even). So in all, I would say this lightsaber is worth it especially if you're living in the UK, and luckily I managed to get one without any defects. Unlike kylo ren elite saber which I ordered twice and both were faulty and didn't work, so returned and gave up trying again. But like always, really enjoy your videos, can't wait to see what you get next =)

Okay so tell me what you think of my dilemma I ordered a revanchist and rev-n elite, both with neopixel CFX smooth swing etc from Vaders Vault back in January 2020. I also pre ordered this saber as soon as it was announced (because i love star wars content and products and thought "hey these will all look good in my cabinet together") in Australia the delays for these sabers is enormous, it was due on the 6th of September but it may take another 2 weeks. After seeing mixed reviews online im thinking of just cancelling the order for this saber and just having my two proper elite Vader Vault sabers for my collection to fill the spot for Revans tribute in my cabinet. Does that sound good or the more sabers the merrier??? Edit these sabers retail for $499 AUD by the way, hahaha i could put that towards so much other star wars content, even another custom saber so tell me what you think

I need help, just got this saber, and I’ve noticed that, when left idle without any movement or pressing any button, it will auto-shut down after 45 seconds, is that normal??? I have a Dooku Force FX (but not Elite) and it auto shuts down like after 3-4 minutes… ¿Are Elite hasbro sabers supposed to shutdown after only 45 seconds of being idle or just Revan’s???

So basically if it can change from red to purple it should be possible to change it to many other colours, i doubt the leds inside are only purple and red...

The chunky side of the hilt look like it's impossible to do swings with. Thankfully I have no saber skills 😂 The wife is getting me one for Christmas

I personally think those Sabers are not for playing and (small)children so the spikes are fine and the effects are not that important. Although for that price it should work perfectly. It wouldn't do more than sitting in the self and maybe pose for a picture. Over all it shoould be a bit more premium and special (like soundeffects and material)

So just got mine today from GameStop and the with brand new batteries it seems to not be bright and it cuts off by itself

"Yeah.. that's right buddy." *touches shoulder* 😂 what an expert dad play. Also I think it's kinda cool they made a force fx version of Revan's purple saber, but I don't really like how it looks. I prefer the saberforge "Reborn" saber. I'm still waiting for mine to ship and on the hunt for a blade plug that looks like the emitter on his saber. If anyone knows where I could find one that would be very appreciated. And in my experience, from having owned 4 Hasbro force fx sabers in the past, they don't last too long unless you keep them strictly for display only. At least the ones with removable blades. My Ani Ep 3 has blade connection issues where it would disconnect mid swing and had some painted parts wear off. The Kit Fisto and Vader sabers I have held up well besides paint chipping on the Vader saber. Same problem with painted parts on my Obi Ep 3 saber, and that one also developed connectivity issues with the blade, to the point it wouldn't register a blade plugged in or turn on anymore. Shame really. But that's why I stick to alternative saber makers these days, better quality and cooler features like smooth swing, RGB and sound font options. The higher price is worth it if you're a lightsaber nerd. And since I name dropped them, Ik a lot of ppl in the online saber community don't like saberforge, it's fine I get it. I personally like their sabers and haven't had any issues with them. My biggest and only gripe with them is the wait time for getting your orders. But ofc there are several other great saber makers on the internet. I'm just picky with looks when it comes to certain sabers, SF has the best Revan replicas imo, their Reborn and Fallen sabers look amazing.

Wish they were sold at Galaxy’s Edge in Orlando love Darth Revan’s character and the lightsaber he wields. Hope Force FX makes a Darth Malgus lightsaber or Darth Nihlus lightsaber next.

Appreciate the honest review ..and some good points raised ..I've always wanted to find out about the black series I've heard lots of bad things about thier sabers but I was never sure and wanted to find someone who would do an unbiased review ...it is alot of money for a cheaply made hilt but I guess we get what we pay for .Lgt now do this hilt and I think that would be much better be quality saber for an adult..probably be 3 or 4 steps up for kids too although I take you point about the emitter claws ..on any make of this hilt they are probably going to be too dangerous for a young child but for an adult Lgts are decent quality now I have several and there good weight and realy good electronics ... I do love how your son disagrees with everything you say ha ha.....Kids! 🙄😆

The spike things are kind of a weird design choice, it looks like holding a fork, but the prongs extend to the handle too.

Hey also if it doesn’t have that much sensitivity try putting new and more powerful double a batteries in it, so at galaxy’s edge, I got a dooku sith saber, and it didn’t have any sensitivity at all, but literally just a week ago I put new and more powerful batteries in it and it has decent sensitivity now, so go ahead and try that, it might help

I can see your reasoning. But for me this makes a nice little collectors item for those who are fans of revan like my self which is why I also have it. But then I know how delicate it is and how it's not really a toy. There are flaws for sure but hey its a nice item as I said :)

This is great review for parents. That's expensive. Only a huge Revan fan should buy that. I know what you mean by Hasbro sabers feeling light. I have a few from Hasbro and other companies and they weigh a lot.

love your videos man but got to disagree. The Kylo elite costs more(not worth it) and motion sensors is important but removable blade trumps that. I thought this saber was one of the best Hasbro has ever. Keep making these elite lines, improve the motion sensor a little and make it a little slimmer and they are doing alright, maybe lower the price though. That is pricey! PS can you swap the blade with the Kylo ren Elite or the kit fisto? Would love a review for that. Thanks!

Hmmm the visuals look good but the sounds and motion effects...😨 Dillon obviously loves it tho 😂 Bummer, ForceFX does have good motion response so I dunno what happened. I get the feeling the removable blade affects the motion sensors like it does with the Legacy Lightsabers. 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for the great review, I also loved your dueling scenes showcasing the features! As much as I love the force fx elite sabers, I probably won’t purchase anymore in the future. My Kylo one was already “broken” it still worked by the left cross guard blade malefuctioned even if I just twirled the saber. I love the smooth ignition but... I’d rather stick with my legacy Kylo saber.

How do you not know of Revan. He even has a book. The book isn’t that great but he is a beast. One of my favorite Star Wars characters.

Kights of the old republic also has a mmorpg which features Revan hes a very important character in legends. I would love for more star wars legends stuff to be added like I would love if Kyle katarn was canonized some of these characters mad my childhood

Actually Revan was in a Clone wars deleted scene. Because it's a deleted scene the animation isn't the best. But look up Darth Revan Clone Wars.

I LOVE this lightsaber design. However, it IS lacking in a lot of bases for its price point. Personally, since Revan is my absolute favorite character, I'm a little biased about its downfalls. Especially since I only display my sabers and only take it out to turn it on and play with it a bit. Do I think this lightsaber is still good? Yes. But this should be a $175 saber all day
