20 year professional driver: the 1st person to arrive at a 4 way stop, is the first one to go. Barring that, yield to the right. If no one is taking the initiative, cautiously enter the intersection and carry on.

@@movingtominnesota 😁👍 I love both Minnesota and Wisconsin, but y'all could definitely benefit from some "supplementary driver training"😉❤️. My last job had me driving back and forth between Michigan and California via Washington State. Spent most of my time on the interstate (so I didn't have to deal with too many of those four-way stops) and have to point out that both states had some of the worst lane discipline I've seen in the country. In case you're not familiar with the term, it is law in many states, but considered courtesy and good practice pretty much everywhere. The idea is that you're only ever in the left lane if you're actively passing, at which point you move to the right to allow faster vehicles the ability to pass. I recall being trapped for hours behind clusters of cars that all wanted to drive five MPH under the speed limit in both lanes side by side. (Enjoy your videos btw, and if I end up moving to that area, you'll be my first point of contact 👍)

Yes, that is right. When two vehicles arrive at an intersection at the same time the vehicle on the left yields to the vehicle on the right.

@@toya1hodson163 Eden Prairie is a great place to live. Lots of stores, restaurants, etc. Homes are a little more expensive than Maple Grove. Our winters are hit or miss. Most of the time when it's really cold here is because of the wind chill and not the actual temp outside.

Don't stop at a 4 way because nobody else does either LOL . The first to come to a complete stop goes first if more than one vehicle arrives at the same time the person to the right goes first . If you are directly across from each other and both going straight then just go , if you are turning left you must let the other car go first .

Last year I travelled all over Canada, crossing over in International Falls. I can tell you the Canadians above MN are super nice... I had very long conversations with people of all ages. They're super curious about living in the states, what you do, what your life is like, etc. They're not as self-centered as people in the US they seem to have a genuine interest in what it's like to be you. On the flipside, there's just nothing much in Canada above MN, good camping/fishing/kayaking, but between cities (which there's few) there's just road - pretty road, but just road. Their mosquitoes are bigger (ever notice how the further south you go the smaller the mosquitoes are?) They leave those huge welts, and they're as plentiful in that area as they are up north.

4 way stop signs suck, especially if the road is more than 2 lanes. A good example of that is Jefferson Highway between Champlin and Osseo/Maple Grove. I believe the intersection with the multiple lanes of traffic with the 4 way stop sign is 101th Avenue or 109th Avenue. That's a crappy intersection

Absolutely. Humidity and Mosquitoes are definately the worst things. I would also add the inability to access real large swaths of nature. Also, as a northerner i giggle when i remember it only gets -20 with windchill considering we've seen -40s before. Trees with too much sap or water can explode at those temps, you can hear it on cold nights, like a 20 guage going off in the distance. It's crazy how even within one state there can be that much of a climate shift. I suppose it is a tall state.

I rather be at a 4 way stop sign then to be trapped on a freeway that's not moving. If I have to get out doing rush hour, I head to West river road to make it to the Airport, Ford Parkway (Where my doctor office is) East side of St. Paul. Bloomington. Its all about learning the city streets. And remember we are going the way of Round about now days. Even though I complain about the Summer heat, I am happy to have those days. Just like my family in Mississippi, We deal with the cold weather one day at a time here. And if you don't need to go out, then don't go, until the weather get to your liking. I got here in Fall of 85. Minnesota is the best place in the nation to live. Yes we can't leave out doors unlock no more, but the plus is worth dealing with the negative. I'm looking at moving from New Hampshire and all I have to say is that MN would be a breeze in some aspects. While we don't have state sales tax or income tax, property taxes are still pretty high. The state still finds a way to get their money, TRUST. I live in the mountains of NH and we can get temps down to -40, and the top of mount Washington with -108 last winter. We are in the top 5 states with the most snow, so cold is fine. The one thing that I think will get to me is the passive aggressiveness. New Englanders are very blunt, which I appreciate. Don't tell me what I want to hear, tell me what I need to hear, because I'm certainly going to tell you what you need to hear. I feel like Minnesotans are not going to like me, but I have their best interest in mind. Just like you have Minnesota nice, we have New England Nice. Totally different, haha. Ok, high taxes. Lived in MN my whole life, I'm 61, and our standard of living is one of the highest in the country. Why? Because we have a great educational system which makes for a smart population which means companies want set up and operate here because of the quality of people to hire. Also, we have great infrastructure. Which businesses like and need. We also have good health care because our government expanded on Obama care so a guy like me, who works in construction, and doesn't make a ton of money can have good health care for his family. In other words, yeah our taxes might be a little high but we get good bang for buck.
