10 Reasons Why You Should NEVER Move to the United States

The United States has become a terrible place. Here are ONLY 10 reasons why you shouldn't live here.
We’re number….28! And dropping.
A non profit called a social progress index recently came out with another ranking on world progress, and guess what? Three countries actually DROPPED when it came to overall progression. Hungary, Brazil and….us. And the other two dropped less than we did.
Which means we’re doing worse over the last decade than every other country in the world.
Is that a surprise? Maybe not when you look around and see the challenges we have in our country today. Our kids are struggling, our adults are overweight and drugged out. There’s a political divide we haven’t seen in a long time. And meanwhile, we are distracted by our phones and reality TV.
The data points to an alarming picture of the state of our nation, said one really smart person. “It’s like we’re a developing country.” and that is just sad.
Despite our enormous wealth, military power and cultural influence, we’re coming up in last place. We’re like the entitled rich kid who keeps failing in class.
Today, we’ll look at the world rankings, see where we did well, but spend MOST of our time talking about what’s wrong with America. Cause we got some issues BIG TIME. But that’s no surprise right?

I am Canadian and my wife and I moved from America a year and a half ago after spending six years there. We were treated like dirt and the violence and bad attitude is off the charts. Everything is a competition so people will not help you because they do not want you to get ahead. The obesity is off the charts and you will see most people are enormous and are deeply offended that anyone even the Dr advise them to exercise and eat less. Violence is a heart beat away and you had better watch your step. The women are something else and are loud and belligerent and demanding their rights and if you are thin and attractive you are shunned or threatened with bullying or just plain bullied by other women. If you are polite and nice you are considered soft and a target of derision. Then there is the weird religious groups that permeate society and I often think it strange a country so filled with religion is one of the most violent countries in the world. America is all about what you have materially and it is rare to be liked for who you are as people here are very superficial and if you are of no use to them they will quickly abandon you. Americans are obsessed with sex, drugs, alcohol and the size of their house. Children are emotionally abandoned as their parents are too busy working all the time so that they can aquire things to appear rich. Corruption is so rife that if you have integrity you are considered strange and old fashioned and on your high horse. Of course not everyone is like this but it is so prevalent that society is crumbling fast.

The USA should enact a UBI of at least $550/person/month, then streamline its Federal tax system radically. Americans will have to accept paying more tax. Social Security will be insolvent in 15 years. Medicare requires a $330B/year cross subsidy paid for by general Federal taxation. In 2018-19, BEFORE COVID, the Federal deficit was $1 trillion/year.

Billy Batson stop being a dum dum, corporate entities are in every country on earth. Open your eyes to how other governments, with much higher standards of living than us deal with their corporations. Because of the ways they are regulated, and not be allowed to rig the political system, they are much better corporate citizens. Lobbying is another word for corruption, we have a quid pro quo system in place that makes “we the people” irrelevant. Maybe try leaving this country once in a while and see how people enjoy life outside this country. And for the countries that do suck, usually our dirty fingers are all over that.

My dream was always to live in America. I’m Irish and grew up thinking that it was the the best place in the world. Just as we were about to move there, my girlfriend got pregnant and it was put on hold. The plan to emigrate never went away but somehow years later, I moved to Australia. A place, I had never even considered. I’m here 15 years now and no regrets. I finally got to visit The stares 3 years ago and saw I dodged a bullet. Loved the place but couldn’t believe the homeless problem. Old people who should be enjoying retirement still working just to live and just talking to people who work night and day just to make rent. Here, we have Medicare which is free and a system that looks after everybody. There are problems here too but nothing on the scale of the USA. Hopefully it can turn around. The richest country in the world should be able to look after its own.

Exactly, I dont pity them because americans(those with slavery like jobs) dont complain and think their country is the best, meanwhile vast majority dont travel abroad to know anything else. Americans have become pawns of their capitalist system. They dont like to acknowledge it because it used to be a great country and that granted them huge ego but deep down they know its turning to 💩 hole thats why they voted for a big mouthed "successful" businessman like trump. right now pretty much everywhere else in the western world has a better life quality according to the metrics. I've seen super old people, like 70s or 80s carry refrigerators for a living here, carry loads of bricks....this wont happen in my third world country, the bosses have something called "humanity" that prevents them from issuing such commands. But in the US, no one blinks an eye. Thats why I don't give a damn about them. They willingly want to remain unconscious.

Our healthcare system is off the rails insane. I don’t have health insurance because it would cost me as much as my rent every month and I still would not be able to use it because in addition to paying that much every month there is this thing called a deductible that we also have to pay. In my case I have to rack up $10,000 in medical bills before the insurance pays anything and that $10,000 does NOT include the monthly amount I would have to pay just to say, oh, I have insurance. The education system is bad, at school I feel I'm doing 3rd graders work, but then I turn around and everybody else is struggling in my grade. And my school food is so bad, its not that nutritional, and is horrible to eat. In Texas, half of my highschool aren't in GYM class. And the students don't exercise on their own time. So many of us teenagers aren't even exercising a day of our lives. And then the media. We get told all this stuff like being fat is okay and healthy, and you can be any gender you want. Apartments are way cheaper and work life is minimal. I'm at peace. I had NO friends, girl friends, nor support in America so it was easy for me to just leave. The American people have been infiltrated by an insidious enemy. The forces of good and evil are ever doing battle every where. In the United States, we began as a moral society. I know, I know, “What about slavery?! What about the Indigenous Natives of America?!” We began as a moral nation not a perfect nation. Justified sins have a way of destroying everything we worked for don’t they? Anyway, if one studies our history, The US was well on its way toward being a genuine beacon of freedom and light, a force for good, in the world. Some would argue that She was for a time... About a hundred years ago, there were some intellectual influencers on the world stage who under the guise of helping the disenfranchised and poor, pushed forward a movement or school of thought referred to as progressivism. Study the beginnings of this movement and all of its iterations and you will find an insidious intent for American society. Also, study Karl Marks and the other thought leaders of his period. Our society is the product of the implementation of many intellectual experiments. We have been brought to this place for a reason. And yes, the media and politics are definitely tools used to control us.

The things I like least about the US is the out of pocket cost of healthcare, the extreme isolation of suburbs and lack of connectivity to city centers you have in European suburbs, the unpaid maternity leave, unrealistic university tuition costs per the rewards getting out of college, the divide between crime and posh sections of towns, some attitudes on racial prejudice (and not just Conservatives and red states but all 50 states and particularly Boston Minneapolis SF Chicago and Connecticut’s cities where it’s a mess by zipcode of systematically segregated school districts) and worst of all the awful choices we have (on BOTH of the 2 oligarchical Political parties) and the binary forced choices for leadership, and US vs Them mentality on BOTH parties with BOTH breeding career politicians elected and re-elected over and over and over whether it be Elizabeth Warren/Nancy Pelosi or it being a political pawn on the rightwing side. I feel like a lot of these issues are due to maybe too much power in Federal Govt and maybe states rights are for a reason, but I’m saying this from a Liberal perspective. Why is states rights a Conservative thing to be? I want states rights also so that a city like Berkeley California can do things that European cities do and emulate choices of model living they want. I want local municipal rights as well. Neighborhood rights, and individual rights. Why do we only have 2 parties? What does having guns have to do with freedom to practice religion? Why do we correlate social and fiscal conservative as one or do the opposite? We have good ideas from registered Republicans and we have good ideas from registered Democrats but the party national platform campaigns on BOTH are annoying and divisive …. BOTH national parties and the political attacks sicken me. Do we need a filibuster in the Senate ? Yes we do ! We need it regardless which party controls Congress, We need to change the way our political leaders think! If you are a Democrat, your prime focus should be to LISTEN to all of the majority of wants and needs among ALL 50 states and satisfy the best path for America’s future for ALL Americans from Liberal to Conservative, with a perspective of a more Liberal vantage point, NOT an Attack campaign US VS THEM!!! And Conservative politicians no different the goal should be to appease as much of the country and across as many representative groups as possible without alienation, for unity of the country , but with a Conservative vantage point. We need this unity. We are one country in the end, we need to make it better.

Theres a problem in the USA that seems overlooked a lot, or at least it doesn't get the weight it deserves: culture centered around work. It's no joke, americans really only seem to think about work, the whole of american life revolves around it. Americans move and change everything else to fit it, love life, entertainment, even children. To me that is one of the main issues in the USA, and a lot of other problems stem from it. When we visit my in-laws and stay in the way most middle-class families are living here, hanging out with my in-laws and doing normal errands or socialising with them as they normally live…I get the distinct understanding that I have saved my partner from a much lower quality of life by marrying them and taking them to live in my own country. We don’t feel that way when we are home, but returning to the states is now very jarring and a reminder of how lucky we are not to live here. Their family are totally unaware that we feel this way and don’t love visiting them mostly due to the fact that their part of America feels like such a horrible place compared with our own life. It is both boring, yet very intense and we even notice how unwell we feel due to the food choices here being mostly fast food/fried/high sugar diets. We put on weight quickly during a visit. We need to start over under an oak tree with Socrates. Throwing money at education is communist. The system has been rigged to churn out red hacks in the teacher colleges. This was identified in 1950. Now you see the results. The public schools have been predending to teach literacy all my my life. When you throw money at them, they produce more illiterates because when they do that they get paid. They don't educate, they count heads. The more heads, the more money. The squeaking wheel gets the grease. The biggest propaganda mill wins, and guess who owns them? Some of the biggest communists are the old money that has pulled out all the stops to destroy the middle class and liberty. The Communist Party is not the party of the poor, it is the party bought by the rich to control the poor. They do this by destroying the economy, installing corrupt legislators by the silver or lead process, and getting laws passed to cheat us out of the national wealth and loot the treasury, this concentrating all the wealth in few hands. You live on money. What did public school ever teach you about it?

But now I have complete confidence that the government, political environment, and society in general will continue to deteriorate and erode even further into the abyss. it's time to look at alternatives and invest in other countries. It's probably wise at this point to move some assets overseas. A huge economic crash is coming to the States. Like it or not; it's coming. A lot of people are going to be homeless. As an American who has spent half his life in various other countries, I can say that Americans could stand to learn a lot from other countries...IF they would listen. Part of the issue is that Americans have an arrogant know-it-all attitude, like "America, love it or leave it", "f off and don't let the door hit you on the way out", "the whole world wants to come here" (actually they don't), etc. Wisdom comes from being able to have some introspection and willingness to improve. No country is perfect. I love my homeland, but as an old guy now, I don't know if I could live there anymore. I've seen how it is in other places...and it would be hard to go back to some of the basic struggles Americans have, which frankly are 3rd world level problems, not 1st world ones. I also don't want to deal with the constant race-baiting insanity and political litmus tests every time you talk to someone in America. It's boring, irritating, and narrow-minded.

most great empires in history were not defeated from outside but from within and when they were defeated from outside it was only because they had become so weak from within
@cameronpinney1816
@cameronpinney1816 3 года назад
This is so true. Many of them did fall from the outside but because they were weak from the inside. Take the Roman Empire for example. There was a long unstable period of emperors, where there were 27 emperors in a matter of a hundred years. The population of the empire was declining, therefore not enough soldiers could be conscripted to guard its borders. The main reason it fell though, was because of climate change. The climate was getting colder, and the tribes to the east of the Rhine could not raise as much crops as they used to. Therefore, they decided to move into the Roman Empire. The only thing standing in their way was the Rhine River. However, because the climate was getting colder, one winter, the Rhine froze over. It is normally an impossible river to cross because of the currents and the size of the River. But, because the Rhine was frozen, thousands of them poured into the Roman Empire with little resistance, because the Roman Empire had very little soldiers to defend it with. And that is how the eastern part of it dissolved.

I used to envy the United States, and wished that I lived there. What I've seen transpire over the past 15-20 years has convinced me that it's in a downward spiral, and no f@c^ing way would I want to raise a family there now. It's sad.

I’m from Norway and I agree with you about the vacation and parental leave in the US. The homeless situation is also pretty bad, especially in some states😕German in Venice here on RU-vid has some interesting videos about that on his channel. (Skid Row in LA, Venice Beach etc.) I love USA as a country to visit on a holiday though, and I’ve always dreamed about living in a cozy small town over there or something💯🇺🇸 I like a lot about the American culture, the different landscapes, movies, diversity and whatnot❤️But - I have to say I really appreciate my country’s welfare system, vacation weeks, great health care, parental leave etc. I will never give that up and move somewhere else. So happy I can travel instead. Greetings from 🇳🇴to 🇩🇪
