I just ordered one of those today from AMS, it was on sale for $718 so I snapped up a Cherry model. I also ordered a blank truss rod cover, a vintage Amber switch tip, and a Rhythm/Treble poker chip...although I found out a few hours later that it comes with one of those in the bag :/ I figured this guitar would be a sweet mod platform; I'd like to throw a Bare Knuckle War Pig 90 in the neck and relic it. I just hope it arrives in decent shape, I read a few horror stories in the review sections of some retailers.
My personal favs(not in order, because I love them all) 1. Thunderstruck 2. You Shook Me All Night Long 3. The Jack 4. Down Payment Blues 5. High Voltage 6. Hells Bells 7. Whole Lotta Rosie 8. Let There Be Rock 9. Moneytalks 10. Are You Ready (this riff is close to my heart, so underrated) I didn't include Highway to Hell and Back in Black, because they're overplayed and overrated and I'm just fed up with them.
I expected the entire video to just be alternating riffs of AC/DC, The Doors, and Sabbath. Fucking awesome you included Zappa and Greta Van Fleet though!

I didn’t think it would be soon that I would be looking for a new guitar… I literally just got a telecaster and while I love that thing, I now have a appreciation for the SG
I love SG's. I have two, a Standard and an Iommi model. Lacked Zeppelin songs, where Page used the double neck SG to play, like Song Remains the same and Stairway to heaven.
I always associated Crossroads with Clapton’s ES-335 but it does still sound good on an SG, anyways here’s a list of some other riffs I’d include that just scream SG: - Hey Bulldog - The Beatles - BYOB - System of a Down - Ritual/Monstance Clock - Ghost - The Seeker - The Who
GVF is like taking every cliche of every 60s-80s rock band and spreading them evenly through an album narrated by Robert Plant. It’s hardly new is my point
I don’t care that they’re famous but they’re taking so much away from the real new wave of rock and it’s criminal, there are so many fresh bands in the revived garage scene or art rock wave with so many influences
John Gregory I think the tone of an SG is more likely to change than the tone of a LP when you use different Amps, pickups, pedals,....a Les paul sounds very massive on almost everything

Anything AC DC or sabbath needs sg guitar if you want to nail it exact because it's something to do with they noisey pick ups they have. There's a certain static or fuzz to the pick ups is why. I'm not quite sure why but it's cool with the SG Gibson series of guitars
Lovely list Robert! Would've been great to see some Soundgarden, though, for example in the place of "crossroads" (don't get me wrong, some of my favourite bands/artists are Cream and Eric Clapton).

For sunshine of your love, I don’t think you really need an SG, yes Clapton used one for it but he retired the SG and started using the ES-335 for cream and at the reunions a strat. I’m just being a smart a**
