Your cover kicked ass. As a 30+ year player myself and former SG owner, I'd like to say that "Fly" has likely the best-most-underrated guitar work on it of any album. Except maybe Flick or Powerage. Not sure how they did it, but the formula on Fly was all really tight with just magic guitar work. So solid. Dad got me my first ACDC poster when I was 10. I'm 49 now and have seen them live. Do the math.....rock on gents. You're vids are great fun to watch.
@@dutchomatic I'm pushing 48 years as a fan (from the very first note of the very first song I ever heard on the radio) and they never get old. Also Rob Galley's 3:45 here just sent shivers down my spine.
AC/DC is the band who destroyed live music to me. I got so damn spoiled by Malcolm's, Cliff's and Phil's godly rhythm section that everyone else ends up feeling sloppy in comparison. People may brush them off as simplistic blues rock that never evolved all they want, but that rhythm section, those catchy riffs and Bons brilliant lyrics aren't nothing short of amazing!
Many people will never understand the combination of those three men. One of my best friends swears that Chris Slade was their best drummer and makes them more of a "rock" band. I told him that if that was what he thought AC/DC was all about, he had missed the whole thing.

Pienso que Flick of the switch y Fly on the wall son dos excelentes discos para la década de los 80/90, se arrancó muy arriba con back in black y fueron quizás de más a menos, pero para lo que sonaba en esos tiempos eran excelentes.
I find the Ballbreaker album seems to get a lot of hate from AC/DC fans.. There are some amazing tracks on that album. The intro to "Honey Roll" is filthy. "Boogie Man" is a great blues groove w a great performance by Brian. "Hail Ceasar" is a killer arena song w the dramatic breakdown. "The Furor" is kind of in the same vein w great solo. "Caught With Your Pants Down" is heavy, fun, and makes you want to speed. Add in a great single in "Hard As A Rock' and it's actually a pretty damn good album, with a lot of great riffs.. :D
@@RobGalley You can't be real dawg, you think Rock N Roll can become extinct? You got the feels but you ain't got the power. Rock N Roll will never die.
I myself love Fly on the wall! Especially the opening of the song. And Gone shooting has to be my top favourite AC/DC songs altogether! Such a good groove.
Originally was going to make this a list of 10 riffs/songs but had a hard time choosing so I just added a few more! Comment below any other riffs you love that I missed out in this video!
Hearing you play all those classics makes me feel I've let myself down. My guitar teacher always said he'd be proud if I leant to play every AC/DC song, but I never did. I now feel inspired to string up my cherry SG and get the tab out!!
Badlands, Two's up, Burnin' Alive, Caught with your pants down, Live Wire, This means war, Borrowed Time etc. There are many, many great tracks with good riffs
Video: 13 underrated ac/dc riffs Me, the dude that listened to the entire ac/dc discographi: just classics My favorite ones are let's get it up, gone shootin and back in business HEY but crabsody in blue is underrated and it's actually a good riff, same as get it hot
I agree with you, although I never would have considered any riff on Powerage to be underrated. Surely everyone knows that the whole album is brilliant, from start to finish ?
Lately, I hear much more appreciation for Fly On The Wall. Nice to see three songs on this video. I always like the beginning to Hell Or High Water. Great job, really enjoyed your choices!
Crazy how most of these underrated songs were released as singles with music videos. Just goes to show the strength of the AC⚡DC back catalogue 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🖤
As soon as I heard the opening lick to Fly on the Wall I knew this would be a good video. Everybody gets stuck on their big singles, these guys had some AMAZING deep cuts on their albums.
It's about time someone gave "Flick of The Switch" and "Fly on The Wall" some recognition, those are 2 of their most underrated albums and just because they didn't sell well doesn't mean they suck.
Call me weird, but an underrated AC/DC song that I REALLY love is “Spellbound”, the last track on “For Those About to Rock”. A brilliant slow burner, if ever there was one. “Big Jack” (from “Black Ice”) is another great riff too.
Are You Ready Walk All Over You Down Payment Blues Riff Raff Dog Eat Dog Let Me Put My Love Into You Fire Your Guns The Furor Live Wire Nervous Shakedown
Great video! My 13 favs : badlam in Belgium, rising power, satellite blues, can't stop rock n roll, goodbye and good riddance, night prowler, gimme a bullet, problem child, cold hearted man, hell or high water, down paymant blues, mistress for Christmas, cover you in oil
How can he EVER be considered underrated?? He’s regularly on a lot of the “top whatever number of guitar players” lists. Sure, he was “just” a rhythm player, but he’s about the most solid I’ve ever heard. He’s been a major influence on thousands and thousands of guitar players, from guys who only play alone in the basement, to guys who record platinum albums and tour the world. Underrated, my aunt fanny.
I love the Riff to Send for the Man awesome. Great video. Flick of the Switch is one their best albums IMO. Fly on the Wall is great as well. Needs a new mix though.
Great list. Many of these were the riffs I started to figure out when I bought my first guitar. Other great riffs are "Beating Around the Bush" "This Means War" "The Razor's Edge" and "Landslide". Malcolm is the coolest riff master that has influenced so many great players out there.
I saw Aerosmith at Wembley in the 90s. Stereophonics in support. Kelly Jones, obviously an AC/DC fan and playing an SG, played the “Let’s Get it Up” intro.
Awesome playing. Great sound too. Good video . There’s loads more riffs that could have played but I know it would take too long. Guns for hire being one of them.
The year...1995, I'm 19, moved to a new town , got a good job...finally bought my a first CD Player a Panasonic Portable disc spinner and the first disc, then kinda new AC/DC Ballbreaker, awesome album that got a lot of play. Still have that Panasonic Portable CD Player and even though in the first few years I had it it got abused and it STILL works...also have the same Ballbreaker disc, sometimes to relive memories of back then I pup the disc into the Panasonic, put on the headphones and crank it like I used to. No underrated riffs on it. It is an absolute beast of an album.
Rob, I've subscribed after this video. I sang each one of those songs as you've played. Including Touch Too Much, my cell phone incoming call song. Your channel is very good. Thank you, bro.
