For the alien blaster, you can change the ammo type to energy cells at a workbench. It does slightly less damage, but if you don't have the AB ammo, it's you're only option to be able to use it.

The UFO from fallout 4 when I saw it was a total WTF moment. Then going to investigate, was really the coolest moment in the entire game imo. What a fun experience!

It's always great when open world type games adds some secret areas to make the world feel more filled and let people have some fun finding out lore

I spent so many hours in SOTC trying to climb the vines and moss on the tower to get to that garden.... never managed to make it :(

I’ve always liked going straight to the viking tomb in RDR2 and collecting the viking helmet. I’d wear it the entire game even though it looked completely out of place and broke the serious tone of the main story, but I thought it was so cool that they added it.

There's another spot in Valhalla, if you go to the New World and speak to the tribesmen and women you'll find out pretty quick that this is the tribe that Connor comes from in AC3. If you enter the cave that the boss of the area is excavating, you'll actually find the wall that Haytham and Connor encounter in 3. If you have the Apple of Eden in your possession when you do this Eivor acknowledges that these two things have a connection, but that it isn't his place to do anything with them, and thus, leaves it for the people who do, Connor and Haytham.

I still remember my first time reaching the garden in ps2 SOTC. Didn't take too long, just ate a bunch of white lizard tails to increase my stamina. Then I walked the whole bridge back to the beginning just to be blown back the wind gust.

I found the cave in Vahlalla by myself while exploring at the end of the game when I already had all the stone: I felt really accomplished

You missed one important thing in the haunted house FC5: on the top floor, there's an ashtray with a newly lit and still burning cigarette 🚬, which means someone was there just a moment earlier, and I found it pretty creepy

You can actually craft up to 5 of the Pyza suits in Dying Light, and they actually stack so you can glide further.

Loved Shadow of the Colossus. I got the platinum 3 times.

No idea why but shadow of the colossus is one of my all time favorites. I love that they keep remastering it. I mostly love to just speed run through it.

Eventually I have to go back to Shadow of the Colossus to max out my health and stamina so I can make the climb and eat the forbidden fruit to Platinum the Game!

In FF15 theres the secret dungeon of pitioss. No enemies just a platforming nightmare. The only way to get there is to fly your car onto a the tiniest strip of a dirt road, walk through unmapped territory looking for a building that only opens at night. Pretty fun dungeon though

I actually found the world 1-1 secret level by accident, that was definitely one of the best gaming moments of my life and I still love Dying Light to this day!

Interesting my playthrough of fallout 4 I must have just so happened to reach level 21 and literally right next to the crash sight so when the ufo crashed it went right over my head and I got to watch the impact I figured it triggered when you got to that specific spot in the map not a level. It was fucking fantastic!

Hey you can also convert I believe E cells into Alien blaster rounds in Fallout 4, so once your use all the Aliens blaster cells you still can technically use it

Assasins creed black flag, when you have to find 30 something items around the map, collect all 30 unlocks a door in the cave and unlocks The Mayans Suit which makes you bulletproof and looks cool asf

One of my favourite secret areas in video games is Divine Sanctuary in Xenoblade Chronicles. It's not hard to find and is even required to visit for a side quest, but it is a gorgeous vista.

There was a rumor during the PS2 era that the fruit in the secret garden would give you a different ending. Since you'd become more human it'll stop Dormin from trying to possess you or something like that.

With each passing time stamp I anticipated the big Skyrim reveal of what falcon thought the best hidden location was. I feel slightly disappointed but I wouldn’t be surprised by a part 2.

Damn, I actually made it into that garden in Shadow of the Colossus. I felt so good when I finally saw what was up there but felt robbed by that fruit.

Forgot the other thing regarding Excalibur in AC:Valhalla - could have easily been added as a side-note to the Excalibur thing :) You need it for yet another secret weapon involving a special location (and time), that involved clues hidden throughout the game and the physical collectors edition of the game (think that was the edition, at least).

There's someone looking out the window when you pull the switch for the prepper stash in Far Cry 5, then turns and walks away. Creepy lol

I love all of the alternate endings and paths in the story of Far Cry 4. It was such a deep game.

Bayeks tomb from origins is a good area to visit that's off the beaten path. Yeah, you're there in the modern setting but in Byaks timeline travelling there is a little bittersweet after spending spending countless hours in the game.

Haha I thought the SinkiDink from Biomutant would be featured in here, although you find it in the main story you can go back to it when you finish the game which is something most people don't know.

The galaxy pools in Destiny 2 are another cool secret location

I'm surprised this list didn't include anything from the Arkham series. Things like the Arkham City planning room from Arkham Asylum and Scarecrow's boat from Arkham City really got me searching for more, and they also helped fully-flesh the game's world in such a cool way.

I feel like something noone ever talks about was the insomniac museum from ratchet and clank games. I remember in going commando you had to set your playstation clock to a specific time, go to a decorative fountain on a specific planet, and use the tele-porter that appears on top of it. It took you to a museum where the devs showcased their work and let you play with some tools for making weapon effects and things like that.

I love the fact you included Shadow of the colossus. So many people I know haven’t heard of or played that game.

funny thing is for me is that in Valhalla I found all the tablets first (completely by accident too)with no idea what they were and only explored that cave because i was bored

Fable 2. After the rail is broken you can jump in a cave later in the game and get the most powerful weapon in the game. Super cool and easy to miss since it’s not available when you first go through the area.

I mean, when you spend hundreds of hours just in free roam in RDR2, you eventually find everything. I found that cave by accident and didn't even know it was a puzzle until I saw the Window Rock painting. I do love RDR2 for these 'hidden' discoveries.

Love your videos man but you forgot to say that Excalibur has a blinding effect on enemies whenever you do a heavy finisher. It looks like a stun grenade went off

2:48 I think you can mod it so it takes fusion cells so you can still use it after you use up all the ammo for it.

I’ve only done the Far Cry 5 one and found the Caliber Sword in Dying Light which wasn’t on here.

I wonder how many people would have found Archdragon Peak in Dark Souls 3 without internet. I literally finished the game twice, without guides... and then decided to secret hunt the whole adventure (the third time) and was AMAZED I never found this awesome, huge (and maybe my favorite) area in the game.

With Fallout 4’s Alien Blaster it’s not true that you can’t find anymore ammo, there’s actually certain spot littered across the map that hides the ammo, but it’s usually protected by high amounts of Rads.

In the original SotC there was a glitch that allowed you to get to the secret garden without having to have masses of stamina. I could never pull it off myself though.

So I actually do want to say that the Mineshaft in GTAV actually gives you a Tommy-gun. Like the vintage assault rifle. It’s a really good gun, and it comes with full ammo.

This may be late,about a year late,but for future reference; The sword from the story of King Arthur is named "Caliburn"and, sometimes the story itself is called "Excalibur". Though,nowadays, the two names are interchangeable to refer to the sword.

I know it's technically not open world, but in the Coral Highlands in Monster Hunter World, there's a hidden area, no monsters are there, but there's a bunch of rare fish and small animals. I just mention this because I literally played for 100s of hours before I found it.

In Dragon Age Inquisition there is a hidden cave on the dragon map near the end of the game. I can't recall the exact location and map, but essentially the veilfire torch lights up as if a rune is around (there isn't.) I found the cave on accident while climbing on a pillar to try and find the rune. the cave has an invisible mountain wall in front of it and opens up to a spiral staircase that goes down for about 5 minutes of sprinting down. At the bottom of the stairs is a large open room with a massive void in front of it. The only light you have is from the veilfire torch. I made a vid about this several years back, and it seems like I was one of the only people to discover this.

In AC:Valhalla if you're inghe ocean south of England and walk on the beaches there are like black spray paint looking letters and stuff randomly in places along it. I think it was something they took out the game but left some of the markings there

In the far cry 5 one you can spot an NPC and there’s also sounds they make make it sound like they escaped while you finished going through the building.
