it was super unprofessional of her tbh, its really not hard to memorize a script, back when i acted, id get a week, maybe 2 to learn a full hour long one, she just had to learn a 10 minute one

Not her editors fault she is filming herself maybe she pauses her recording learn what she is to say and record when she is able to recite it without the phone

@@lmads8023 This is how videos are made everywhere. It's part reading, part memorizing if you're presenting on camera. It's up to the editor to put stock footage over the parts where they're looking at the phone and show them when they aren't. Jess is a professional, she's been doing this freelance for years on other channels and for Gamespot, she knows what she's doing.

First off she doesn't get a week or two, she most likely is given a script and told she has an hour or two to read it, maybe do a few dry runs, record it and send it off to the editor. Second, she does memorize it, when she's looking at the camera and not her phone she's reciting from memory. Third, you might get an hour long script to perform repeatedly on stage (which I doubt, most actors don't get an hour of dialogue in a two hour play they star in), but she probably gets an hour of recording time every week, and then the next week, and then the next week, all different scripts and topics. What's the point of memorizing all of that?

I'm subscribed to both, and you're completely right, the disinterested dead-pan delivery doesn't fit at all on this channel.

Can't blame her for having the dead pan delivery so early in her whatculture career, must be nerve wracking knowing how many people are gonna see your video and critique your performance. here's hoping she can relax a bit and join the rest of the brilliant presenters here.

@evando2006 I totally agree. Very watch mojo. Although you make a good point about giving her time. I remember when Scott first started, it took a handful of videos before he became more animated and interesting. Now I see him as one of the strongest in the team.
