why are blaming the Government.. cause they wouldnt bail out ford or holden? Ford and Holden are a business and at the end of the day labor costs were to high in Australia so of course they going to out source to get the product made cheaper .. Your not going to get a bunch of Aussies working in a factory for the same pay that someone makes at Maccas

A Ford executive in an interview a couple of years ago said labour costs were only 19% of production cost and was not an issue. Skilled workers in Asian countries maybe be paid lower but not that much lower. There is a stereotypical mentality in Australia that all Asian workers are paid 1 or 2 dollars an hour. A 1% reduction in production could give investors an extra few million dollars. It's more about corporate greed than anything else.

As the Australian car manufacturing worker wage of $69,000. Also that over the last 10 years the Government have invested 12 billion dollars into the car manufacturing and for ever $2 of tax payers money invested the car manufacturing industry put in $1

Kneedragon1962 vt to Vz handled well if you maxed out caster and at least had fe2 suspension pack preferably some nice shocks and springs not coil overs they handled well especially with a hsv rack Funny thing with falcons is they handled well from Ef to au but were never as good from ba onwards

carbonfibre492 - Yeah, dynamics are a slightly black art. It's bit like throwing Molly Meldrum's leather hat on people, and it says "Oh, this one's got a nice bum - Griffindore!" You kinda don't know what you're going to get or why. Go to bikes, and it's a hundred times worse. And conventional wisdom can be so completely wrong! From the mid '70s until the mid '90s, the conventional wheel & tyre sizes for a big bike, were 19f and 17r, on tiny skinny little rims, and we put a 5.10x17 on the back, and then we all complained the bike wobbled, and obviously Kawasaki don't know anything about how to build a frame. Jump forward 30 years, and we were off our fkcun rocker! The damn frame had almost nothing to do with it. A crossply 5.10x17 is maybe suitable on an old lady's mobility scooter, or a golf buggy, perhaps a quad (< 100cc) but you don't put a party balloon on the back of a 150 mph bike and expect it to work! No wonder they were all fkcun lethal!! I've tried to remember that lesson about "conventional wisdom" because you run into this time & time again, in so many fields... That fact that "Everybody knows that!" doesn't mean they're right.
