1. aggressive off hand -protects the ball -arm bar/ separation 2. jab series/ dribble triple threat -creates space on the dribble 3. veer - bring inside foot/body in front of defender -controls the defense 4. glide/lateral space creation -creates space/opportunity -defender has to consider shot/pass/dive -must identify and react to the space defender allows 5.eye-fakes -manipulate defender -never streamline 6. triple threat / reading hands -creates positional advantage - bring over top if hands are low/ go under if hands are high 7. fake a pass to make a pass -defensive player will react to pass -manipulates defense 8.hand deception -manipulates defender 9. 5 second 10. self backdoor
I bought the egt 2.0 for 90% off and there are some good drills in there. But to me it feels like the workouts are very short and half of it is just warmup stuff. Also if you do the sniper program the drills are very simple at first which is annoying because I was ready for high intensity game like situations. I ended up taking drills from each player type to create 5 one hour and a half workouts. That is working good for me
This is perfect for me I’m only 10 and I have so many good defenders on my team since covid 19 is here right now I’m gonna practice these wish me luck! :D
If you want to get better find your favourite players in the nba and search their name on RU-vid and just put lesson after, you’ll find all the best videos to get the fundamentals and tricks you want
I usually am the point guard on my team and whenever I get the ball at the top I kinda just freeze and don’t know what to do since my teammates are just standing on the perimeter doing nothing
Hi, in the veer move 5:15, if attacker and defender run at the same pace and the attacker tries to push shoulder to shoulder, the defender, does it counts like a foul against the defender or is just ok and nothing happens? The thing is that many times when I'm defending and the guy passes me and starts running and I go after him (but they come from an angle to the basket, because I was defening from the 3 point line at the center), and by the time they start the lay up I'm already paralel to them shoulder to shoulder the thing is that I sometimes just stay there shoulder to shoulder and they kinda stomp into it and can't move me because I'm heavy but Idon't know if I can do that.
The Nike Elite Basketball that I’m using is heavier than a Evolution and it’s starting to hurt my wrist every time I shoot should I just stop shooting until I can start playing indoors again and use a Evolution(my wrist is fine when I shoot with a Evolution but I don’t have a Evolution).
@@hyahhyah9539 You're going to play with different basketballs throughout your career based on the league, level, etc. Just something to get used to :)
Most people do skill work more often than they weight train. For example, you may train skills or do a shooting workout 4-5x per week and only lift 2-3. Hope this helps :)
These tips are great. People normally look and get too caught up in the glamour of basketball but don’t focus on those little things. And those little things are what separate good players from great players. 👍🏽
