Guerlain Vetiver’s been my go-to, favorite classic scent this Spring, and I don’t usually like classic scents as much. Great longevity and gentlemanly vibes. It’s a hands down better fragrance than something like Versace Dylan Blue and Dior Sauvage, while also cheaper, and performs just as well. For hot days, I like Lalique Encre Noire Sport, as the citruses and watery lavender notes pair well with the Vetiver.
Great list brother i have a few of these... put a few others on my list love the vintages recently got an early edition Azzaro pour homme splash its briliant,,,,,, lookin forward to checkin out more of your channel ...... You come highly recommended by Rich Mitch
I enjoyed your video as always. You always bring out unique & old school stuff and it’s nice to go back and dig out those ones although I don’t have any of those on your list this time, 70’s, 80’s & 90’s were my time so old school fragrances definitely draw my attention. You’re much younger person but I can see you have a bit of old soul, which there’s nothing wrong with that. 👍🏽😉 I have old Hugo Boss “Number One” and never heard or seen “Sport” green bottle so I am intrigued by that one. I also like Guerlain fragrances and I like Guerlain Pour Homme Eau de Perfume. I also like the “Vetiver” version. You showed the one your friend Al gave to you and I’m so interested in that one as I’m a sucker for figs but you mentioned that one is hard to get it because it’s limited...so too bad. 😓 From Azzaro, I recently bought “Silver Black”, (same as “Onyx”) and it my favourite flanker of Azzaro. I don’t smell anything reminiscent of the original but it’s the mixture of old school DNA with modern twist that I really enjoy. 🥰😍 One Italian old school brand by Gianfranco Ferre “Pintaccio 21”, I believe it’s hard to get now, is also the bomb for me. It’s very potent, spicy, leathery sexy masculine scent and I can get enough of that smell. It’s a monster performer and if you could get your hands on this one, definitely will add to your unique rare collection. I super recommend this one for fall winter wear for a very masculine & confident yet a bit mischievous guy type of fragrance. 👍🏽👍🏽✨😎🧔🏻💪🏽
Guerlain Vetiver is a great green scent, love it. However, it definitely has a heavier tobacco vibe some people may find it "dated" but it truly a classic. For another suggestion for green and spring is a forgotten scent from Calvin Klein Truth for Men. It is much lighter than the Guerlain, more of a day time frag but it smells like fresh cut grass very unique green and cheap.
Nice Choices ... been using Capucci and 1881 Cerruti for years ... all time Favorites. Just a suggestion and can be found on the inexpensive side give Versace L'Homme a try. Great Job Dude.
Those two car so good especially 1881 I love that one. I have versace L’homme that one is great too and long lasting on me. Thank you for watching and commenting bro!
I agree that the hype on most the Azzaro Pour Homme flankers by RU-vidrs is very shady. I tried Wild Mint. Not good at all. Great video like always. Just watched you collaboration with Mr. Smelly. 👌🏻 nice job.
I also own Azzaro L. Very bright and fresh citrus notes with the APH DNA in the background. Great for warm weather and layering as well since it's not a beast. Some women could pull this one off I think 🤔. But it's still very masculine and has That barbershop vibe in the background. Found mine on a discounted rack store at 15 bucks for 50 ml. Easily fits in a pocket or bag for replication on the go.
Lacoste Original is without a doubt my favorite fragrance you turned me on to. Bought a 1.7, and I'm buying another for a back up. It fills this perfect niche for what I love in a green frag. Also I know you love the layering and I saw a Lacoste Original Body/Hair shampoo on eBay tonight. FYI.
That’s one good friend you got there. That Claus Porto Le Parfum ain’t cheap. Tried it last year when I was in their boutique in NYC. I remember really liking it til I saw the price 😂 And Bois de Portugal is a 10/10. Love it! Great list!
hi I am from France I have been following you for a while I love what you do I have tried so many perfumes I am a collector and I wanted to tell you that for me the best intergenerational perfumes are Paco Rabanne for men, black drakkar and agua brava puig I even told my family if one day I die buy a 200ml bottle of Paco Rabanne for men and wash my body with 🤣😉
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey with pleasure on the other hand my curiosity pushes me to ask you if you are of Italian origin? Because you look a lot like Martin Scorsese's movie characters, these kinds of noir films with mafia and drama I hope you don't take my compliments badly
Enjoyed your video. I have both Acqua di Selva and Agua Brava. Haven't tried Agua Brava on my shirt yet, but I have recently discovered that Acqua di Selva works better on my shirt than on my skin (the fabric locks in that great fresh citrus and mint opening for a little longer, and doesn't fade as quickly). Acqua di Selva has some of my favorite top notes in any fragrance out of the many dozens I've smelled. I also have, and very much appreciate in certain moods and settings, Guerlain Vetiver! We seem to have some overlap in our collections. I have a fairly small decant spray bottle of Creed Bois du Portugal, but I prefer my recently acquired bottle of Lalique Pour Homme (lion bottle) over even that one! I was so impressed with it. I agree with many people that it's relatively similar to Bois du Portugal. I don't consider either of those to be very versatile (they both strike me as formal or semi-formal professional scents), but I think the Lalique is even a little less versatile than the Creed. I still like it even better overall, though. At least tied, which automatically makes it "better" considering that it's so affordable.
I love Acqua Di selva I apply a lot since it will fade but it does last a bit longer on clothing, I had the opposite experience with Lalique pour Homme I didn’t end up liking it and gave it away but I really enjoy BDP. Thank you for watching and commenting dude
I liked your review on Capucci & Cerruti. My cousin Giancarlo, recently purchased a bottle of Capucci, says it's an awesome scent. Thank you for the 'shout out'...Glad you enjoyed Le Parfum!!
What a coincidence ..........I just finished ordering Guerlain Vetiver and Christian Dior Jules last Friday . Both replacements .That Boss Sport looks fantastic. I got that Azzaro Pour Homme L'eau back in 2014 had to replace it twice since than. Its that good
I smelled Claus Porto Le Parfum when it came out and i liked it a lot. It's a niche Portuguese brand and i'm portuguese, so, was more easy to find it. Great one and great picks. I have to try some of those that i never tried.
again so grateful about the choice of your fragrances... Lacoste is discontinued, hardly to find anymore, the some for the nr 10, Boss... And btw, Azzaro has a new flanker, Cologne....Kind regards
Bois de POrtugal is great. One of the few Creeds I don't find overrated. If you like BdP then check out Lalique Pour Home EDP (lion). Smells just like BdP and much much cheaper. I've had them on side by side and they are nearly identical.
You know I had Lalique pour Homme and reviewed a while back I gave it away I was not the biggest fan I think BDP smells Much better. Something about LPH gave me a head ache, it’s strange I assumed I’d love that one but no dice
Great list sire. Colonia intensia , bois du portugal and guerlains vetiver are mainstays on my spring list. If you want some flankers or others from the houses you mentioned 1881 bella notte is a fantastic flanker. Creed viking even through all the hate is a beautiful sandalwood drydown that just works in spring for me. Also i would mention from guerlain habit rouge & L'instant are two spring bangers along with vetiver or even vetiver extreme. Love the list! -Ramsey
Got Tommy Hilfigers Citrus Brights today and i must say, i love it. I'm from the south of Sweden so we got the same climate. I just think some fragrances are meant for specific seasons. Like Citrus Brights for summer and the mighty testosteronebomb Aramis for winter. Keep up the good work!
I just got a Tommy Hilfiger scent I am waiting for summer to break out, it’s my only Tommy scent. Aramis is great to very sharp and classic. Thank you for watching and commenting sir
What's up my friend I love your list because you always have. Many of the Fragrances that I smelled growing up and I love the colonia wow great video.Thank you bro peace
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey if you like Paco Robbane pour homme, you love beach hut man. Smells very similar but with an addition of mint leaf. PRPH is a great substitute but beach hut man is my all time favorite masculine fragrance
Thank God I gave up buying fragrances for lent cuz you would’ve left me in financial ruin with this list 💀 All these sound rly good. What are your thoughts on Acqua Di Parma Ginepro Di Sardegna? I picked up a sample of it and it smells incredible, but I haven’t worn it yet cuz it hasn’t gotten warm enough here. Seems like a great spring scent.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey I find the opening of Lacoste quite refreshing and not harsh at all. This thing is a baby relative to Kouros or even the opening of Paco Rabanne Pour Homme for that matter.
Great video buddy. I really want to try Boss Sport, but I hate that it's discontinued. I'm afraid I'd love it and then be on the hunt... I've mentioned Bowling Green to you before and I think you said you weren't impressed but that you had a vintage version that may have gone bad. The new one is cheap but smells of quality and lasts forever. It's definitely my favorite spring scent.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Def is it smells like a high end barber's soap. I think you will like it . A big fan of your channel. You pretty much cover the frags I've loved over the years .
200 mL of Vetiver. YES. There's a new Azzaro Pour Homme Cologne Intense that just came out too, along with Polo Cologne Intense. Can't wait to see how well they've butchered both. 😄 😢 Amazing that you scored Boss Sport!
Hello, great channel. You have to try this two great scents if you didn’t: Esencia Loewe pour homme Havana for men Aramis Masterpieces Regards from Spain
Ive had my eye on Esencia Loewe ! I just ordered it so I will review it soon. From what I read it’s right up my alley. Thank you for watching and commenting Alberto
Great list my friend but have you reviewed bowling green by geoffrey beene. To me I think it's a lovely spring fragrance, similar to drakkar noir and nothing like grey flannel. Great channel, keep up the good work.
You know I have it but I have yet to really give it a try so I will need to do that this spring, I’m glad you enjoy the channel and thank you for watching!
Bro, you need to do a “top 5 most classic Italian gangster fragrances of all time! I’m talking Al Pacino, Al Capone, Good Fellas style! Prohibition era all the way to the best of the 80’s! Quintessential Italian
I did a “what would they wear” on The Sopranos over this past summer, I plan to make a part two. I could branch out and do one for Italian gangster icons though. Thank you for watching and commenting dude!
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey just watched that video, Hilarious and fittin! I was talking more of just classic quintessential Italian frags in general! Doesn’t have to be associated with a character though
Hi, great channel, I'm glad I found it! Can you recommend a fragrance, besides Guerlain Vetiver, that is very grassy, fresh and green but not too mossy/piney? Greetings from Europe and have a great day.
Great video btw 👍.... I’m also into vintages , but try getting your nose on Xerjoff Fiero .... a classic Italian style perfume similar to ADP Colonia or Santa Maria Novela’s Aqcua Di Sicilia..... but with much greater longevity & projection
I wore Boss Sport today ... funny I’m just watching this now 😂. 10 hrs later and it’s still around, they should have kept this one around ... so classic and doesn’t seem dated to me .... could easily go for 200$ in sum Indy /niche perfumers bottle today
Colonia Intensa is so awesome. Maybe not the best comparison, but it's as if there was an eau de cologne flanker of Bel Ami. Very similar leather note. Btw, it gets discounted really heavily. 50ish bucks for 100ml is pretty easy to find on eBay from legit sellers. Like a lot of AdP scents
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey I doubt it's discontinued. It's fairly inexpensive from discounters and it's on AdP's website. And yeah, it really sparkles in the warmer weather. That myrrh note comes out so nicely
Good morning. Great video. Really enjoy watching your picks and choices. Not the usual bland obvious choices. Some really great fragrances in there. Fantastic. I need your advice, I have located 2 full bottles of ceasars man. How do tell the difference between current and vintage formulations ? Also, I have recently picked up some brutal classic cologne. Very impressed indeed !! Lastly, a family member has a full bottle of kouros energising tonique. What are your views on this. Thanks again. Love your channel. Have a great day.
Glad you enjoyed the list ! As far as Caesars Man goes make sure the box and bottle say legendary and the Caesars head is detailed and not just a silhouette. That will ensure it’s the older formula. Kouros energizing tonique is a great masculine summer scent I love it. Thank you for watching and commenting dude
+1000 for the Azzaro l’eau..to me it’s even better than the classic.. But the best classic man spring fragrance remain any colonia.. eg Eau de Rochas Homme..
As always stellar review, and take on great spring frags. Need to get my nose on some ADP Colonia Intensa as I’m contemplating replacing the OG with it. Curious, does Creed Green Irish Tweed enter your radar for this lineup?
It could absolutely be a spring scent probably one of the better options for the season I just do not own it and I go back and forth if I like the scent or not lol
I’m reaching out for this spring Salvatore Ferragamo Pour Homme and got to try that Roger & Gallet Open Black . A mixture of PR Pour Homme and Kouros 😲 What could go wrong ?
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey I’m sure I will ! There’s a lot a fragrances you should reach for from YSL like : YSL live jazz 👌 more for summer but quite suitable for spring as well . There’s a lot of discontinued gems from this house like Jazz, Jazz Prestige, Opium Pour Homme.
Hey, I'm looking into buying a Acqua di Parma fragrance. Which one is better, The original, Essenza, or Fico ? By the way, my skin is a sponge ! Please let me know.
Hands down the best Acqua Di Parma in my opinion is the original, none of them have great performance in the original Colonia line, essenza is my least favorite. Also check out Sandalo in the ingredient line that’s awesome too. But overall the original is by far my favorite. Thank you for watching and commenting Luis !
