Betta splendens prespawning behavior to eggs....This is typical breeding behavior of Betta splendens over 24 hours. I am no longer working with this line, but if it helps a newbie understand betta breeding behavior, I'm leaving it up. There are so many other videos on conditioning the pair and all of that jazz. ;-)

@MyYewTubeAccount I am so glad that this video helped at least one person have a general understanding of betta breeding behavior. Although each betta spawn is unique, I tried to capture video footage of the typical stages I have seen in my betta spawns. Good luck spawning your pair!

Abby Rice yup, you should take the female out as soon as she's done laying her eggs, you can re-breed, but the male has to wait to make his nest again, otherwise, he sees her as a tresspasser

Abby Rice it depends because the male aka the dad is trying to like you know protect his eggs as the other hand the female aka the mom will try to eat the eggs so it basically means that the dad will probably kill the mom.

You can purchase brine shrimp eggs from the IBC store, and you can make an infusoria culture yourself quite easily. Some breeders feed newly freeswimming fry vinegar eels as well, and I think those are sometimes available on aquabid.
