Hi Darryl you are in a cool and beautiful neck of the woods. Great topic and would be a good thread. I am glad you picked The Beach Boys. I have a greatest hits album. That is probably all I need but do want to get pet sounds. I had the seals and Croft record you held up but dropped it and it shattered about 4 months ago. I have the Christopher Cross record and love it. Bryan Adams reckless is a good one. Caribbean queen I forgot about.. good song probably the only one I know from him. Great video.
Hi Shawn, glad you liked it. It's too bad about your Seals and Crofts record. You'll have to replace that one. It's chill music for the summer. Cheers, Darryl
Darryl....this was pretty much an 80's Summer Mix from my high school days! Fun theme, and we played Reckless non-stop at many summer keg parties. 😎 My go to Summer Song is 'Beach Baby' by First Class. Crank it up! 😎🎸🎶🎤
Thanks for the positive review. If I had that First Class in my collection, it would have been the #1 choice on my list for sure. I love that track... Hot Fun in the Summertime would also have made it, but my collection is lacking at the moment. Cheers!
Hey Darryl, Trung and I just got back from Cape Cod where we spent plenty of time "summer vibing" on the beach! Finally checking out your newest video. The beach boys reminds me of the movie "flight of the navigator". When David asked the spaceship to tune into the radio it was The Beach Boys that played. I was not expecting a Madonna Record to show up here.
Good stuff Darryl. Definitely some obscure stuff (for me) in this episode. I'm with you on the ELP. I like most anything I have heard from them, but not that one! Lol! Not sure people who were too young can comprehend how huge that Brian Adam's record was in 84 & 85! Almost every track was played adnuesium...but it's still great! Good video man. Cheers bud! 🍻✌️🤘🎶🤘
Glad you liked this episode. It was scorching hot here today (hottest place in Canada I believe). We are at 33 C feeling like 38 C. I was.only a kid when Bryan Adam's released Reckless, but I remember it like it was yesterday. Some teens know it, but the younger ones always ask who it is when I play it in class.
