Yeah, that hypocrisy always annoys me! Genuinely original fanart with its own unique concept and/or style is perfectly fine! But how are you gonna get upset at people "stealing" your art when you've basically stolen it already? I've copied my fair share of official art myself but I only ever consider that practice and never bother about people nicking it because I don't consider it my own creation anyway, it's just a random doodle to me.
He's a real adult, they don't have time for Pokemon or Pokemans 😅. And especially not some weeb cartoon stuff. I halfway joke, but as an adult in my 30's, I think this is quite accurate with those my age. One may have been mildly curious about Pokemon in the 90's, but then aged out of it quickly and now you're a weirdo if you still do anything related to the game and are older than your 20's.
As a pin artist and someone that does my own original art for my pins- thank you! I know it’s a surprisingly hot take that highly traced/too closely copied images shouldn’t be permitted. I usually sell at anime con artist alleys and those kinds that are too close to official art would be grounds for warnings from staff.
@@Puerco-Potter usually tracers trace the first Google image, so you only need to look up the name of a character and check the first few images or official renders.
@@Puerco-Potter it depends on the convention but I’ve seen it be based on a report from a volunteer or other vendor which is then looked into. While these are rarely direct traces (meaning reverse searches don’t work), typically a simple Google search for the subject or character in question will pull up the reference. Like with the examples in this video, the bases for these are usually a pretty recognizable pose or composition associated with the official/licensed IP.

If I remember correctly, nearly all Japanese nouns only have one form and when speaking, something else in the sentence would denote the amount of that thing there are. If using the word in English, you wouldn't say something like "kimonos", which I hear a LOT. It would be, "I have two kimono." You would only add an S if you need to make it possessive: "The kimono's sleeve has pink flowers."
Idk I read the name as Pikémon (Pyk ay mon), since Pokémon isn't pronounced Pok ee mon. It didn't/doesn't make sense to me either way, but my mind definitely didn't jump to the slur.
Went to see the first movie in the theater when i was a kid (read: enormous fan) with my mostly oblivious mother. At the end scene, im in tears, and i look over to my mom, not sure what to expect. Only to see her in tears as well. I thought about it recently, when we were bawling in her living room when watching the mr rogers movie. I brought it up and we had a much needed laugh.
That's really cute, actually! My mom reacted the exact opposite lol. I only recently found this out, but her hatred for the pokemon anime knew no bounds. I always knew she wasn't a fan, but to learn she felt satisfaction when ash nearly kicked the bucket took me out. She somehow managed to her laughter together as to not upset the many crying children in the movie theater-which, in her words, made the whole thing even funnier to her. And she's not a bad person! She was never the kind of person to belittle children and their interests. She had been a teacher and later worked with children with special needs for a living. She's the kind of person who loves children and enjoys teaching and playing with them to help them grow. So naturally, learning her genuine reaction to that scene last year left me in stitches. If she never told me, I never would have guessed!

The video for the crypto one was creepy (driving around to speak with KIDS), predatory (turning a children's game into a very unstable financial currency), and also very heartbreaking for the little boy who clearly was enjoying telling his father a story, all for the father to very rudely cut him off and film him without his consent to be part of his shady Kickstarter campain. Father of the Year, people.

Their tagline is 'Getting a fair deal for Gypsies, Roma and Travellers' btw, in case you'd like to inform them they're bigots. Or, you could actually talk to someone who's in a gypsy community? They're plenty who are happy to inform someone with polite questions. It's a long, interesting heritage which people are rightly proud of. Those plastic 'straight throw' things are so stupid. Not only is a straight throw really easy to do, it blocks you from curveball throws because of the plastic being in the way. Curveball throws improve the catch rate and you sometimes need to do them for research.
I will never understand why so many crowdfunding project owners keep using copyrighted materials and think they can get away with it. Most of these feel like something I'd want to make when I was four were it not that I was never a pokemon fan.

it makes no sense how these people are getting money off Nintendo's IP and they ignore them, yet Fan games which are non-profit always get the ban hammer. Also, the word Pokemon is both singular and plural.

I was kinda expecting a video that was about Pokémon games on Kickstarter, but seeing all these other things...geez, I know that the Pokémon franchise is the highest grossing franchise of all time but still the lengths of stupidity some people go to to make a quick buck...

The campaigns, that is, not sure the games will become a thing. Though seriously, Charizard is overrated, I think the standard Green Dragon (ドラゴン) from Dragon Quest has a lot more charisma to it. Hi, can you explain me, how / why even big projects that gather 10-50k by stealing copyright images are not declined by Kickstarter? There's a guy making 20k+ every time, his projects are called "Challenge coins for multiple media (run 10)" from 1 to 10, because I can't post a link, that's lager than the average 400$ Pins, tried to report it to Kickstarter and to Disney, Nintendo, etc. never blocked, stopped or taken down, please help
I would've wanted that Pokemon card with my vaccination status on it. Am I the only one who didn't get a vaccination card handed by the doc or a pharmacy or something and had to carry their whole booklet around to everywhere? Others used a digital one on their phone, or whatevs. The amount of times I forgot my booklet and had to drive back home to get it or not be able to enter any building owo When a card could've sat in my wallet the entire time. Eaurgh. I had the rona twice, after being vaccinated twice. My entire body is a QR code at this point. xD
