I absolutely loved my Amiga with Lombard rac rally, speedball, pga tour golf, Monkey island, Lemmings and jimmy white snooker I could go on and on. It was great how you could just rip copy's of games from your mates collection 😂 great channel and videos Brough back loads of memories of my childhood
You know youtube auto plays this video for me all the time. I'm so tired of it. I loooove your channel but youtube won't stop recommending this video to me despite me watching it.
I think it's also worth mentioning a couple of games that were inspired (or at least heavily influenced in terms of gameplay) by Strike series. One of them is Battletech, where you control mech (not unlike Future Cop) and before each mission can select different weapons. Another is SeaQuest, where you control a submarine and are able to go deeper or higher to dodge enemies. SeaQuest also features "missions", where you control various mini-subs in 2d-side view.
I got Bitmap Burrau Collection for my PS5. I haven't installed the game yet as I'm watching reviews of the games. Your channel is one of the only ones reviewing this game. As a belt scrolling beat em up fan that started way back with Double Dragon for the Nes and SMS (oh yeah, had them both!) I am a fan of the genre. Now, I almost bought this game when it first dropped but...I don't care for the way the characters look. They have a very plain look to them, and I like a little flash in my beat em ups. Addendum- I'm playing it now and wow! The game is great. I just beat the first stage with an S on hard, first time out. It's like Streets of Rage 2 meets Final Fight.
Funny thing, because of the isometric POV, it's one of the few PS1 era games that still looks decent today. Alot of the behind the back games of that era look absolutely horrid today(but amazing at the time)
Loved this series. I always had to enter cheat codes because the games were pretty difficult, but even on invincible mode, the games were still a ton of fun! Each game really did improve on the previous. I loved switching vehicles in the later games!
I watched while I was laid up from a leg reconstruction when SD&R covered it and this gave me so much nostalgia! The KickShaming series was my favorite and I hope it comes back one day! Loved your stuff Stop, Drop, and Retro! I'm not one to rush but I await your return!
The cat lady story was a rollercoaster of feelings I went from feeling sorry for Melissa because she clearly had problems (hoarding and drug addiction) and also feeling a kinship since I like cats a lot as well, to getting shocked that she killed her husband and framed her own son, and then baffled that they were part of the damn klan!
I was more than happy to tell Google they can stuff it when the Stadia launched. It was a glorified rental service that had you pay retail for a product you will never own.
The runtime of this video blew me away. What surprised me more is that you captivated me throughout the whole thing. Thank you for your extensive research and creation.
Favorite is the word I would choose! It's 2024 and Nintendo still has not sorted out their terrible controllers. Seriously, have you tried using that piece of junk for a fighting game? I would rather play on an Xbox 360 game pad over the Switch any day and that's saying something.
I never owned a SNES but any time we rented one pilotwings was always a game we rented. I still pick it up a couple times a year and play through it. Still a ton of fun
if i want a handheld gaming portable id be getting the pyra/pandora, almost had a pandora long ago but life got in the way but moms coworker loved his.
WHAAAAAAT? Spanish scammers using gamers as a way to steal? haha! You need to check the Dalas Review's scams; it includes NFT, crypto, games and even a Banjo Kazooie ripoff
So I backed the Kickstarter that funded back in 2021. I am not worried. A lot of people are pissed its taking so long but I had already saw it took 8 years to come out with the original so I was like well I am patient and knew it could take years and years going into it. For a good game I am willing to wait a while. Besides I already have a backlog of games I haven't played yet.
Desert Strike takes me back. My cousin had it and we would play it all the time. Soviet Strike is the most memorable though playing it with my childhood friends. I still have a copy of Soviet and Nuclear for my PS1. Also, another favorite is Choplifter 3 for SNES. Spent a lot of time on that too.
Super nintendo made the best version of these games frfr none of the other consoles really had the left/right Strafe maneuver.. Sega in particular had bad graphics AND bad controls.. SNES Nailed them though.. I spent hous beating desert and jungle after a solid play through of Pilot wings.. never made it through urban strike. Great games but depends on the version youre playing, anything less the SNES versions totally fail..
I miss power stone, it is one of my favorite dreamcast games of all time, along side Psychic Force the fighting game, which if you did do a video on discussing Psychic Force as is another hidden gem on the dreamcast in my opinion, that would be great
I love my Steam Deck. Who knew it would be such a great emulation platform? If it ONLY played Steam games then it'd be worth the money, but it also plays PSX, PS2, PS3, Xbox (not 360 though), every Nintendo, every Sega.... you name it!
