2:56 *Correction: I say “both versions had a Gracie Grace upstairs” but actually, the Gracie Grace shop was of course in the city in City Folk where Label worked. So the upstairs of Nookingtons in City Folk sold furniture & sometimes more rare furniture than usual instead. Gracie Grace only appeared in the upstairs of T&T Emporium, which was the equivalent of Nookingtons in New Leaf. Gracie herself would only visit town in Wild World & you could collect rare clothing from her. Even though I got a little mixed up on this part, I’d still like for Gracie & her shop to appear in New Horizons somehow, & I’d love to have some more shop upgrades or customisation options! ☺️

I agree 100%. I stopped playing for months last year, caught up for the most part earlier this year, then stopped again. The shop not being upgraded particularly stings. It has the same items, and I hardly ever get anything new. I miss the old NPCs, and villager dialogue. It feels like I haven't bought a full game, but a membership which I have no control over. At least in previous games, I didn't rely on Nintendo to update for me to have everything in the game. Why cheer Nintendo for "giving" us monthly updates, when it's stuff that should have been in the game in the first place. I love older AC games, and really want to love this one, too, but it's hard.
I completely relate to everything you said. Especially feeling like I’ve bought a membership with no control, rather than a complete animal crossing game. It’s so heartbreaking & I don’t blame you for struggling to enjoy this game. I’ve found myself feeling like that so many times 😔💗
I’d like to add cooking in the game so it would be fun! Edit: there could be this event where you can cook for your animal friends, and when your done, you can have a picnic!
You know what I want? More reactions. They could at least bring back more reactions from past games like Disbelief, Outrage, Sunniness, and that shrunk funk shuffle. Maybe Dr. Shrunk can make an appearance.
Tbh we all expected so much from acnh and it feels like they focused on the aesthetics not the gameplay... we didnt just play ac for making our towns cute but also for gameplay fun.. they could have done so much makes me so sad
i'm just going to note here in case if anyone is going to comment about her voice, please read this!! she has a disability called "osteogenesis imperfecta" (OI) which is a group of genetic disorders that mainly affect the bones. the term "osteogenesis imperfecta" means imperfect bone formation. people with this condition have bones that break (fracture) easily, often from mild trauma or with no apparent cause. if you search up the symptoms of it, one of them is a high-pitched voice which is what she has ^^ please don't comment hate on her voice! it's something she can't control, and she didn't ask for it in the first place so please keep this in mind! /lh thank you if you've read this far.

I would like if they added a traveling merchant that you could trade with for items you wouldn't be able to get on your island. It sucks not being able you connect to others cause your internet is restricted
We don’t have the hybrid flower islands anymore?!?! That was like, my favorite thing in the beginning. I was the first one in my group to stumble upon one and showed it off to my friends and made sure to grab enough for them, it was really great
Yep. I loved them too!! They removed them in an update where they also made it harder for bugs to spawn & then they also made it so you make less money from bank interest. I think their reasoning for all of this was that it made the game too easy. But they just completely removed the fun of the islands for me ☹️💗
getting hybrid flowers can be so confusing and take up so much time and the game never explains how to get them we need to do our own research online so hybrid flower island was a good way for people to get them i dont get why they removed it
This is a great list, and covers a lot of things Nintendo needs to fix in this game, including the return of old NPCs. I would like to add that I would LOVE that tools would have some sort of way to tell how many uses they got left. I mean, I wake up one morning wondering how many more uses I have for my shovel, just for it to break on the first use. That grinds my gears.
@@louloucrossing Oh gosh, yes. It is strange Nintendo didn't already implement some way to tell the tools' "health" right from the start. I also forgot to say I also want to see the Gyroids back. I miss their blips, clacks and boings at the rhythm of the musics playing.

All of these are wonderful! And I have to agree about the nm items being color locked for each island being unfair to ppl without Nintendo Online. I wish they had brought back ReTail so we could use Cyrus to get the other color options😔. Not only that but then we could have our villagers put up items for sale they don't want instead of giving them to us. I loved this feature in NL and im so sad they didn't carry it over to this game😭💔

It's so annoying how Leif isn't always around. I would like to have Leif around all the time, just like with Nook's Cranny and Able Sisters. He could have his own store and hours. It sucks to go through Nookazon to go to someone else's island to get flowers that I don't have. Nintendo needs to seriously update.
I'd like to see more kinds of clothes you make in the pro designer. like pants socks, shoes, and bags. maybe also bring back the animal accessories like the tails in pocket camp.
Oh my gosh I completely get that!!! I miss when my island felt like classic animal crossing. Now if I try to make an area more empty like it was at the start, it just looks so out of place & silly, it’s very difficult to bring the island back to the way it was. Terraforming can be very stressful too 😔💗💗
I would LOVE that! It's so annoying to restart and lose all items. Like, I completely understand since we're deleting data and starting anew but I wish there was a way around it instead of starting over and/or buying a whole, new Switch.

But if you have friends, they can hold some items and then give them back, it may clutter thetre Island for a day or two, but woth it, you can also empty your house closet, and leave them out for others to get and keep, That is what I am going to do now that I have somebody to give it to, Lost bells, lots photos and sahara things I loved.
I actually can't decide on which point to comment because EVERYTHING in this video speaks to me on such a deep level. So I'll focus on the NPCs. You're absolutely right. They are the heart and soul of the game next to the villagers and I can't believe how empty NH feels sometimes. Having Wendell and Pete replaced by objects feels so wrong. Personally, I love Flick and CJ. I see them as boyfriends and Flick feels really relatable to me as an artist. They are modern and cute and they fit the vibe of the game... but Gracie, Katrina, Harriet, Shrink... Brewster. It's as if they were so very focused on streamlining everything and focused so hard on decorating that, despite the game being wonderful, something was lost which makes AC so very special.

I didn't play New Leaf, so finding out that there was mermaid housing makes me upset at New Horizons. Mermaids are my favorite thing, and I should get to have a mermaid house for all my mermaid and shell furniture! 🥺🧜♀️🐚

My goodness but I love your content. Agree with your list. As a new player, I’d love to meet some of the old NPC although I see the pattern of kids taking over....nevertheless, wouldn’t it be neat if the original came from time to time, say Joan so that Daisy Mae had a break or something like that? It sounds like I’d LOVE tortimer island. While I love playing with friends (actually my sister and my daughter!), getting together at an island with lots of mini games would be loads of fun. My daughter and I already do a bit of that with the timer... I love the game and will continue to play but yes, I’m looking forward to more content!
Something I would've liked but will likely never see is more variety for the starter islands, the ability to let the AI decide where to place every houses, and paths forming naturally as the grass gets worn by being walked on over and over again. Loving my town with all of its quirks, be they good or bad, was a big thing for me in AC and I'm sad to see it gone.
@@autumnamber6849 In the previous games the state at which your island/town started was way more varied. Now I not sure how many different starter layouts there are but it's a relatively small number
Something I feel should definitely be added is When You need to get KK slider to come to Your island, You need to get three stars. I wish that instead of isabelle telling you “plant more flowers.” “Greenery.” “Furniture.” “More people.” I wish she would tell you the exact amount that You need Like for example “Maybe try planting x amount of flowers” Without this it’s Just one big guessing game. I got this game like 2 weeks ago And I JUST got two stars.
I wish they would shorten Isabelle’s morning announcements or have her mention which NPC is on the island that day. No one cares about her lost favorite sock or her watching something on tv. It’s annoying and I doubt anyone would miss it. 😒 They should also bring better furniture in the game especially since basically everyone only plays to design their island. We need new stuff like PC.
what i would like to see is, more choices for multiplayer. I dont know about anyone else but i wish my friends could help build on my island without me adding a character to my island. Maybe they should have a permissions list of who can do what on your island.
I'd love more minigames, more shops (Maybe ones that sell more expensive or rare items than Nooks Cranny), and part time jobs. I'd love an easier way to make bells with a part time job. You play a few minigames with Brewster or something or do favors for villagers, maybe even tackle being apart of resident services for a day for 12 bells an hour or somethin. I just feel like earning bells is such a grind and I'd like a funner way to do it.
I love Daisy Mae so much but I never have any reason to talk to her because I don't ever do turnip stocks. I used to love planting and growing turnips in Wild World and was really disappointed that's not an option anymore
I think this is a great list! I hate to say but I don't think Nintendo will come out with a substantial enough update for me to start playing as often as I used to. At this point I've gotten my hopes up sooo many times and only been let down. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up for E3. If something happens, great! If not, I'll be sad but it's okay. Life goes on
I agree with everything you said, I know that we recently had an update that allow us to create a custom umbrella and things, I still think we should have more customizable clothing, such as a plain sweater without the hood or pattern, pants, skirts, socks, shoes, long sleeved balloon dress, short sleeved long dress, etc. Also I'd really like Nintendo to add the dance reaction you see your animal villagers do on birthdays etc. Whilst the only one way a human villager can do this and this is at the Reese & Cyrus wedding party where you need at least one other human resident living on your island for this to work. The resident your controlling can't do the dance but any you invite will do. I'd like Nintendo to make this a reaction so it can be done anytime. More things to do online but I think this has been covered a lot over RU-vid but for most AC players, I think some of is just self explanatory at this point.

9:02 I feel you, literally one of the dialogue for lazy villagers specifically when it's snowing is, and I quote, "I love snow", *insert bland happy and warm reaction here* that's it, that's the dialogue, seriously, that's the dialogue, this could be given to any other villager personality, and it would make no difference, this just shows how Nintendo was so careless when making villagers seem like actual people who live with you in a neighborhood Lazy villagers for some reason act way less mature than they used to in past games and for some reason like bugs now? Peppy villagers are just kinda narcissistic and only talk about wanting to be famous popstars and nothing else The same thing could be applied to smug villagers, just remove the popstar part, they practically are just fboys Cranky villagers are literally just old men when villagers like Cyd and Roscoe exist Normals are...normal and bland Jocks talk about exercise and nothing else Uchis are just the type of girls to be like in the game, 'I'm different from other girls' when they're just tomboys in the end Snooty villagers are probably the best ones done in this game but have truly fallen from glory from their past incarnations seeing as they're just the rich woman stereotype Also side note: the nook's cranny does upgrade, once, could definitely use some more upgrades in this game with cooler items to buy at high prices like Gracie's

Imagine having lunch with your fave villigers? Or fishing for as many fish together as possible? Another odd thing is I wish they would make the proportions of the objects make more sense haha, it ruins the immersion of the game and makes it feel like a dollhouse were you've scrambled different doll items together to make it look complete, if that makes sense? Also would love more items that you can interact with! Also would love some premade islands so we don't have to rely on building everything to feel at home🌸

OK so the reason why everyone wants Brewster is because he’s so sweet and he just gives you some coffee and he’s there for you yeah I love all of that but you also get to meet special characters which is what new horizons is lacking in the most this would be a really good improvement for the game so if Nintendo just wants to be lazy and not make all these cool places with the special characters they could just make the roost and put all the special characters there and they could even change up the villagers dialogue saying that today I was in the café and I saw a Lottie drinking some tea it made me want to get some too that would be so great

I'd love villager home customization. I love their houses but many dont match anything and you cant even change the beginner houses. Bring in Digby and Lottie and let them give us the option to help villagers remodel. It's the same mechanics as your house just recreated for villager houses. I miss digby
i wish that theres was working railroads items where u can make train systems in ur own islands with like furniture but like we can create the train sytem by ourselfs it will benefit citycore island and a lot of other island too!
I personally want the game to add more diys: more seasonal diys that aren't just repeats from the previous year, more constellation furniture that aren't related to zodiacs like Ursa Major, Pegasus, Orion the Hunter, etc and especially more villager diys based on their personalities. I think each personality type should have an added 10 diys so they aren't constantly giving us the same ones over and over again.

The one thing I want SO badly that I know I’ll never get is for the wishing fountain with the chihuahua to return 😔 She was so funny. Edit: oh, and Katerina!! Edit 2: oh, and some more general things: ceiling items and the ability to add ambient noise like in HHD, and the ability to customize the sound in a similar way when you lay custom paths. Even just hard footsteps for brick and stuff would be good, but imagine if you could have little splashes for water paths? That would add to it so much.

Thanks, great ideas.I do wish the store would upgrade, but I do love the charm of the small store. Maybe have both? A new store added. another store moved in carrying different things to buy, I wish we could see villagers on Islands even when we are not searching., Also, the garbage wall and floor, wish we can put them outside. Isabella is too long and others like you said. Do I always have to say, who hoo I found a fossil or whatever? Maybel store, I want to just check off everything I want, then buy, no going in and out. Wish did not need tickets to visit the Islands. One more thing, the villagers can visit your house like in other games.
Maybe they will change things with E3. I really hope they do. It would be a smart decision to listen to the players about their complaints or recommendations because people would play more. I know that all of my friends and more people have stopped playing animal crossing because it just wasnt as interesting anymore
what i want added is missing characters, isabelle to have better dialogue, a bigger and better role, reese and cyrus to have their recycling center like they had in new leaf and mean villagers.
I think many others are feeling a little bored / underwhelmed with what we currently have in the game, so I really hope they’ll add some more stuff too 🥺💗
