I love how the whole movie gave me a little bit classic Disney-movie wibes: Starting the movie with credits/song, following with opening storybook, lots of singing, Spinnel being like a old Disney cartoon character (when she was in her original form) and the ending. I LOVE IT!!!

Spinel is probably my favorite villain character now and the one thing I love most about her is her Reason to be evil.She was abandoned and she suffers from abandonment trauma.When She breaks down in front of Steven after the song “Change” or when she says “Your gonna leave me-somewhere,YOUR GONNA LEAVE ME ALONE!” You hear the sadness in her voice and it tells you how much Pink Diamond hurt her.Thats why I love her and she is now my child bc I have adopted her >:3

I really loved the movie ^^ ....though I'm kinda baffled on where they can go from here for Season 6. Also, it might just be me, but the opening sequence and the diamonds singing felt like something out of Snow White or Sleeping Beauty in some way... speaking of the Diamonds, YEE!!! They went from tyrannical mistresses to overbearing aunties! ^w^

Oh my god. Pink Diamond's relationship with Spinel was exactly like a child and a toy's. *After she got bored with Spinel, she left her aside. Only to leave spinel to wither and decay.* Now PINK is the true villain.

And can we talk about how beautiful the animation was in some parts? Damn I was delighted. Even in normal scenes you can see some new details here and there. I really hope the crew keep these. Specially the new camera angles, some scenes can get 100% more interesting with that change.

This is what TRUE SU fans see. Unlike others that “hate” the movie, they keep their mind open and look at the bigger picture. The people that critic it only see whats on screen, not whats in the character’s emotions or the concept of the WHOLE series. They don’t pay attention to the little details that make a huge difference to the plot or characters.

Spinel is just misunderstood and i think she is the best antagonist with so much character but only almost 2 hours of existence

I think it makes so much sense that Steven is a teenager in this movie. This is something that happened to all of us as teens: We have everything figured out, family, friends, food in our table, freedom, sometimes even a status, we can skip important meetings just because we are not in the mood (like he escaped the diamonds in the first scene). In other words, everything is fine, you have the freedom to come and go and also feel like you are the hero of the hecking universe. And you just want it to stay that way, forever. When a threat comes in though, you simply get annoyed, worried, confused. It is really hard to understand why school exists exept to make you angry, or why are your parents forcing you to do something you don't want to. You can see how much egotistical Steven was. At the sight of a problem, he doesn't get in his super hero mode anymore, as he did in Reunited. He gets mad. He just wants this bs to end and leave him alone so he can go back to doing nothing. This is such a common feeling for a teenager. Normal things happen, easy-solving problems appear, and for some reason it gets us really angry, and we have to go through a lot of complaining and cursing before realising how simple it was to just understand the issue and resolve it. It was a really interesting metaphor of the complex feelings of a teenager, and I think most people didn't even notice how present this whole concept was.

Favorite part: Final fight scenes Favorite song: "other friends" and "Drift away" (I love them all tho lol) Shocking scene: Freaking Steg!! And seeing Steven be selfish with Spinel. My overall opinion of the movie: ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!

A character who only wants to be friends but who’s over optimism pushes their best friend away when they want to be taken more serious.. I feel for this gem >.>

The plot was just genius. We got a recap on everyone's backgrounds and characters growth, and it introduced a brand new character and developed her entire backstory throughout the movie that was engaging and suspenseful instead of a cliche opening with way too much dialogue

The only thing that I think you left off, was the AMAZING VOICE they give to Spinel, and I'm not only talking about the singing part, but her "cute voice" and her voice crackers everytime she breaks mentally, is FREACKING AMAZING! Like when she says: "what am I doing? Why do I wanna hurt you so bad? I'm suppose to be a friend, I just wanna be a friend!"

Some say season 6 will take place before this movie showing the dismantling of an empire could be interesting

I liked how when Greg came out of the bathroom everyone turned around and looked at him and he said “alright I’ll was my hands” that had me dying

This movie was definitely one of the best ways to do a animated movie of a cartoon series. Spinel was a great antagonist. On a bit of a personal note here, I have heard a lot of people say that this might actually be the end for Steven Universe. And for some reason, I am okay with this. I feel like this movie is a good enough ending. It sets up things that will happen in the future but also leaves us guessing so that we can essentially fill the gaps ourselves. If Steven Universe does get another season, there are a few things I hoped for. But if this is actually the end, I am perfectly fine

I actually really liked Spinel's breaking down instead of her losing the fight physically. She expressed wanting to be better but still struggled with comprehending why she couldn't or didn't. I cried lol

The movie is great! Not only we get a new cute and awsome villian we also get to see steven break down and passing through his limits even tho the other gems that is always there to help him are gone and we can see how much he has grown strong, this made me watch the movie 4 more times

I really loved this flim, the songs, the characters!

Steven was awful throughout the movie. In the beginning he was fine but towards the end it was outright terrible. When Spinel was despairing over thousands of years of loneliness, Steven said she just needed to find someone ELSE to love, instead of telling her to try living for HERSELF for a change. She should learn to love herself and love being herself before she tries to live for anyone else. Then when he was "trying to calm her down" after she removed the drill, it was a clear piece of intentionally bad dialogue and awful writting to make 15 more minutes of conflict.

I’ll say I was kinda wishing that they would come across a villain that couldn’t be converted into a good guy but aside from that I loved it
