10 Things I Wish I knew before High School! 

I regret not taking preschool and kindergarten naps seriously. Those were the days.

have you ever taken such a big shit that by the time you get out of there you have to actually lay stomach down on your bed for 10 minutes to recover because tbh thats what i feel like highschool is gonna be

Best lesson: Don't care what people think. You're afraid you'll look dumb? Afraid standing up to someone looks like you can't take a "joke"? Who freaking cares! I found so many people wanted to be my friend (which was so awkward for me since I've never been "popular" although I'd always tried to be until now) and I wasn't even trying! I could say fun facts about vaginas and not worry people thought I was being inappropriate. Even if it's telling your friend "You can't sign your name on this project because you didn't do anything." SAY IT BECAUSE THEY DON'T DESERVE FALSE CREDIT EVEN IF THEY WON'T LIKE YOU ANYMORE. I'm going into high school next year but I've learned this after years in elementary school trying to be popular... FOR FRESHMAN WATCHING THIS VIDEO Omg this is so accurate .!! I'm going to be Senior (12th grade) and I wish I knew these thing back in freshman year especially the freshman grade thing , I don't think people get that most of the time freshman year sets the tone for how well you do in school because if you do well you often get moved into AP, Ib, and honors classes like myself and even though they tend to give more work , its worth it especially if you wanna go to college Lastly, I'm not trynna like brag but I do know a lot of people at my school and neighboring schools and THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF DRAMA IS TALKING ABOUT SOMEONE , doing this can make highschool so hard for you and make you hate it , && you wanna enjoy your years because you won't get them back ,!! I WISH I could go back and live those years again , I'm so sad that this is my last year !! Lol but I just wanted to say to freshman if you really wanna a good experience in highschool get good grades and stay drama free ... TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👌💯 (P.s people are gonna talk about you whether your doing bad or good , but just do you and none of that matters 👏👏💓💓)

Fact number 8 is wrong i am a senior and whem im out in public im a nice guy but at school i turn into a monster (a literal monster fangs claws the whole thing) and all of my class does the same and we lurk the school looking for freshman to feed on. The more freshman you eat the less of an impact the senior slide will be.

My school told me that colleges will look extremely hard at your grades you had in Freshman and Sophomore year. So, don't think you are "too cool" for high school. :)

Your FRESHMEN and your SOPHOMORE are your most important years in high school. The first two years in high school determine your rank and GPA. Your Junior Year is the year you start applying for colleges so if your GPA sucks or is really low from your freshmen and sophomore year than the universities will see that. So try your hardest your freshmen and sophomore year.

I was very lucky enough to keep my amazing friends from grade school and still now as a Junior in high school. Although I've meet even more people in high school, if you have a great group of friends in middle school try and continue those friendships:)

Best tip, if your school has a JROTC program, join that shit. JROTC is a military program that teaches you a lot of stuff (both for military and civilian life.) You will meet your best friends there and look badass doing that, as a USMC O-3 Cadet Captain I have learned so much about respect, honor, and what its like to be a good team player and leader. I have met so many people I can call my brothers and sisters today and am doing it for my final year. Plus you get to wear that sexy uniform that almost everybody loves.

I'm starting high school this year and I'm so scared cuz I won't know anybody...

i was top of my middle school and my sister was top of her middle and high school. i am going into high school next year, and as my sister made it possible, i feel inspired to also be valedictorian and always try my absolute best and get into the best classes. failing is not an option for me, but i will take your advice and try not to let myself get overwhelmed.

I need advice on high school parties...I'm in grade 9, never been to one, but a friend of mine (who I'm not really close to) is throwing a New Years party, and I know there will be drugs and alcohol and all that and I've never been involved in any of those. If I don't go, am I missing out? Should I go? I don't really want to do drugs or anything... I'm a good student and don't want to jeopardize any school work or family relationships, I'm just torn I guess. Should I go? Please offer me advice it'd be really appreciated, thanks :)

My guidance counselor is deaf. I'm not trying to be rude there is nothing wrong with being deaf but I can't understand her and how am I supposed to communicate with her if we can't understand each other.

to everyone stressing about high school - I just entered my first year of high school a few weeks ago, and honestly it's NOT what everyone makes it out to be. You won't get lost every day, bullies don't steal your lunch money, and you most likely won't forget your locker combination and be late to class every morning. It's literally just a bigger version of middle school

In the uk high school lasts 5 years or 7 years if you want to stay for further education

If you fail a test or a final don't take it too hard, it happens, some people learn differently, you personally have to find your method of studying or sometimes it's even the teacher that doesn't teach the way where it sticks with you, but the most important is that you don't beat yourself up for it failing a test and find your learning method and genuinely try to improve.

Upperclassmen are wonderful. I joined several clubs my freshman year and became friends with a lot of upperclassmen. They can give you tips about classes and teachers and certain assignments.
