For what I've read, in Brazil the import taxes are so high that a gaming console can cost the double of the MSRP in the US for example, so in order to cimcurvent this, Microsoft decided to open a factory there so as a proudly brazilian made product the Xbox could be sold at a more reasonable price, somewhat like how Sega just decided to license console manufacturing to Tec-Toy, that is why Sega was a household name in Brazil and why there are new Master System and Genesis cosoles still sold until this day, but I digress.
If that Dragon game for the Xbox One had come I may of actually gotten the console. Lucky for my Xbox 360 Elite it was part of the majority and never got a Red Ring.
Missing from this list are the technical failures of the og xbox that may have been why MS was pushing so hard for 360 migration. The dead clock cap and trace rot issues that caused PSU failure were not small. If you have an og xbox check out how to remove the clock cap and prevent it from dying. Doesn't apply to the final version of the og xbox. Also didn't touch on how many of the same mods for the og xbox became standard features of the 360 eg wireless controllers, media centre, games from hard drive, expandable hard drives
Isn't number one kind of... well... against what the list is supposed to be about? The "red ring of death" is something *everybody* has heard of and the costs of it are pretty well known to everyone. Like it was literally reported on the news globally that Microsoft would be taking the actions they took and how much it had cost them as a company. Hardly stuff you need to delve into the deepest recesses of the internet to discover... *Good video all the same though, guys.* 😘
My Halo3 Special Edition First HDMI Xbox360 lasted too long.. Didn't get the red rings until after the power supply was totaled and paid 50€ for that, then few years later the console it self died (Read red ring of death)..
Funny thing about the red ring of death. I watched a video when it happened to my console and a guy smashed it with a hammer and it started working again. Figured I had nothing to lose so I tried it and shit you not it fixed the console for another 6 months before it died for good lol
Just 256mb ram for both games and system software? I bet they are glad epic got them to put more ram in. I shudder to think that my best console of all time could have been a piece of crap! Lol
