@@charlesaquiline3561 I believe either turned on or in the accessory position for it to stay on. You just press and hold the start button without your foot on the brake for 10sec to put into accessory mode.

Hey Calvert! I apologize for the delayed response! On the left side of the steering wheel, the button in the center of the cruise controls will adjust the follow distance for adaptive cruise or the forward collision alert sensitivity from far, medium to near if you do not have adaptive cruise control.

Appreciate you and congrats on the Equinox!! Ok, so first I would double check that you do not already have the factory trailering package. If you do, there is 2 twist taps under the center of the rear fascia. If you need to add a hitch AND wiring I would suggest GM Part No. 85111903 - 1,500-lb.-Capacity Hitch Trailering Package ($395 + Dealer Install) If you need just the hitch, I would suggest going to etrailer.com & enter your vehicle info ($175-250) On the top one, Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2", there is an installation video. Does not seem to hard to do yourself honestly!

That is true, but only slightly smaller! 2016 = 31.5 ft³ with seats up & 63.7 ft³ with seats down. 2023 = 29.9 ft³ with seats up & 63.9 ft³ with seats down. They have changed a lot since 2016 with the Equinox in regards to the exterior styling, interior design and functionality, new technology and also improved the efficiency with a newer engine as well! If you do get one, let me know if you have any questions with it!

I am so sorry for late reply! It sounds like her contacts were not allowed when first pairing it with Bluetooth. You should be able to go into phone's Bluetooth settings and click the ⚙️ next to MyChevrolet and allow contact access. Otherwise, forget the device on both the phone and vehicle, then repair and allow contacts access when it pops up when pairing. Hopefully this works for you! 🤞😁

Honestly Mike, I would talk to the service department at local dealership for this. I'm not sure why there would be an issue with the Electronic Stability Control system. Could have just been a small bug

Thank you, happy you enjoyed it! The Surround Vision with front dacing camera is not available on LS models. It is part of the Advanced Safety Package available on LT & RS as well as the Driver Confidence 3 Package on Premier models.

Glad to hear!! Unfortunately there is not anything on the vehicle for that. However, if that's a common issue in your area, I would suggest getting a locking gas cap from a parts store or amazon for it!

Glad you found it useful! For the remote start: You need to press lock on the key fob once, then hold the circle button for 2-3sec and the vehicle will remote start. When you get in, you still need to put foot on the brake and push start button so vehicle knows you have the keys and ready to go.

You can also get remote start added through the dealership if your vehicle does not have it. But I agree, they are really great vehicles overall!

Yes, the button with "P" and radar looking symbol turns on and off the parking sensors. If they are not working, I would first check your window sticker to see if your vehicle may have them currently not equipped becasue the parts shortage. If so, it should say "includes later retrofit" which will be treated like a recall and you will be notified when the chips come in & the dealership can hook them up for you!

Anyone else looking for this answer look below. Question from cardlr1 answers it

Once you are in Drive "D" you can press "L" to put the vehicle into a Low gear setting. I call it Limit as it limits the highest gear it will drive in. Example: Put the vehicle in Drive, then Press L. Then press the + until you see "L6" on the gear display on the lower right of the Driver Info Center. It will then only use gears 1-6, and not 7-10 on a 10-Speed Transmission.

Hmmm I'm not sure exactly which one as you do not want it to be constantly drawing power even with the vehicle off. For that reason, I tapped into my 12V plug on my Infiniti when I installed my lights and front emblem as it only had power when the vehicle was in accessory mode or running.

I have a dash cam in my vehicle but I use a separate li-on battery with solar cells on the dashboard. Be careful in summer! Gets too hot.

I am pretty sure they just twist to adjust the height of the hood stops!

Hmm... that might be tricky if the setting is on and the vehicle is still not doing that feature 🤔 I would say if it is not too much trouble to re-pair your phone and re-set any settings made, to go into the Settings & select Return to Factory Settings. Afterwards, turn off the vehicle, open the driver door for at least 30sec, then close door and restart vehicle to complete the reset. Try turning setting back on in the menu and test if it works. Hopefully it does!! 🤞 If it does not, there would appear to be a more technical issue that I would recommend your local service department to diagnose & see if any updates need done to the vehicle. I know the lane departure warning system only works at speeds above 31mph and has to have a clear view of the road in front of you. If those conditions are met and the button is turned on, you should see a green lane picture in your display signaling it is reading the lanes and the system is active.

I am sorry for the delayed response!! But yes, there are vents in the back of the center console for the rear seat passengers! The settings go ofd of the front controls and there are no seperate settings for the rear on Equinox's.

For the 2019s, the LS model comes with manual seats. You can get power seats available on LT models and above, controls on the outside of the seat. On Premier models you can get memory seats which are set by the buttons on the driver door. Sorry for super delayed response!

Regular Unleaded 87 Octane is what's recommended! No need for premium, but it won't hurt it if you do use that.

Yes sir, this will pertain to 2024 Equinox just the same!

So, in the more common event that the key fob or car battery is dead & you need access into the vehicle: There is a little silver button on the key fob you press to pull out a physical key. You can then use the key to pry the open tab under the right side of the driver door handle to reveal a regular lock cylinder. In the event of an accident & the door won't open: Bust open windows with an emergency safety tool.

Most of these should apply to all trim levels. What specific one do you have a question about and I can help?

The collision alert sensitivity does not seem to be available in my RS model

@@sheilamalone3453 left side of your steering wheel, should be a button in the middle of the cruise control buttons which allows you to change the sensitivity of the collision system!

Hmmm all that does is adjust the gap for distance for cruise control 🤷‍♀️

@@sheilamalone3453 If you have the Advanced Safety Package with Adaptive Cruise Control, when cruise control is active that button will change the gap between the car ahead of you. When cruise control is off, it will change the Forward Collison Alert sensitivity. It say Gap Distance regardless of if you have Adaptive Cruise Control or not for whatever reason.

Hmmm usually the hood latch should be fairly easy to access in the middle of the hood just sliding the lever over. I know the hoods do require a little more force to latch all the way nowadays, but honestly if you think it is abnormal, I would start by taking to the service department at your local dealership to make sure its tightened down in the correct position.

Hello! I'm happy to help! To reset the oil life: Use the Arrows on the Right Side of the Steering Wheel to Scroll Up & Down through the Info Pages until you see "Oil Life" once you are on that page, Press And Hold the Check Mark Button in Center of those Arrows on Steering Wheel. It will Pop Up with the option to Reset for the Oil Life. Hope this is an easy fix for you! GM reccomends getting an oil change when the Oil Life shows under 20% or annually if not driven as much.

Hey John, I have heard about it before. I know it can cause issues with the Nav system if you remove the SD card while the vehicle is running. As far as a fix, let me check with service & ask what they've done previously! Will report back shortly!

If the Terrain can, I would imagine so, but will have to go test out!

2 options: 1. You can go to your local Chevy dealership and order a GM remote start kit, they will have to program it as well so get a quote from the service department for that at the same time. 2. Go aftermarket at either a car accessories store or even BestBuy. I got my remote start aftermarket through BestBuy last Black Friday for under $300 installed!

@@CarsWithKylepersonal experience, aftermarket starters have a unique advantage. They don’t need line of sight to start the vehicle. So if I were in your place, I’d do the aftermarket. It’s like $3-400 in my area, MN.

If you do not have remote start from factory, you can go into your local dealership and purchase a remote starter kit through the parts department.

Should be setting for it in Settings > Vehicle > Power Locks

If it has the power liftgate, when you walk to the back of the vehicle with the key fob, you will see an Illuminated Chevrolet Bowtie emblem appear on the ground. If you do, simply kick straight forward and back under it to open/close!

The right side is volume, up and down. The left side is radio favorites, or if you're like me and listen to music from your phone, next and back for the songs.

@Cars With Kyle thank u I didn't want to touch it just in case it was some emergency type of stuff lol two other questions what is the green little car that is on the dashboard? and what is the 3 red dots with the beeping noise mean? And thank so much for your video it helped me to navigate my vehicle. My other one got stolen (kia soul) so I had to get something with the on star fixings lol

@OpticalXray Absolutely, happy to help! The green car symbol means your vehicle senses a car in front of you and you're at a safe distance. If you get too close it will go yellow, and if it thinks you're approaching too quickly, it can flash those red lights on the window, beep and sometimes even apply brakes to avoid the incident! Sorry to hear about the Kia, but it sounds like you got a very nice replacement, congrats on the Equinox!

@Cars With Kyle yep the kia challenge it took about 3 weeks to get stuff back in order. You know something funny I had just increased my insurance like 6mo. Before this happened thank God. Fast forward I go to the dealership and he was like I got some kia and Before he could finish I was already shaking my head lol anyhow here now and definitely in a better place.😊 What are your thoughts on remote starts do you think it's bad for the engine or could cause damage over time?

Sorry for the super late reply, I hope you got it figured out by now! But if not, simply go into the clock settings and switch it from 24hr to 12hr mode!

Go into your settings, check under the safety options and see what the alert type setting is set to!

@@CarsWithKyle My car is 2022 equinox, but there is no separate safety directory. There is only a collision / detection systems menu, and there is only a lane change alert button. You can only select on or off instead of alarm type. I specifically asked dealer last week, and they said that there was no sound reminder function, so it should be a reduction.

@@CarsWithKyle Just like in China, they still provide 2.0T + 9at models, and the price is 39000 Canadian dollars, which is basically the same as the price of the RS version of 1.5T + 6at with RS plus package in the Canadian market. However, people are not willing to buy GM cars at all ain china, really do not understand GM's strategy.

Green car on the dash means it sees a vehicle ahead of you and you are following it at a good distance, yellow means you are a bit close and red means you should probably hit the brakes!

No Ma'am. The Equinox has not had a CD player since redesign in 2018.

I just had to convert my favorite CD's to thumb drive so I could listen in my equinox. First car I've had without a CD player. No biggie though, you can put dozens of CD's on one thumb drive.

It's more of a timer, about 5 seconds or so after the key has been removed from the vehicle and the doors are shut. Only time it annoys me is when I'm filling up with gas and it locks 😅

Glad it helped out! Hmm, first I would hit the up and down arrows on the steering wheel when it happens again, just to make sure it's not just stuck on the "blank page" screen. If it's not showing anything at all though, that may be an actual service issue where they might have to update or reset some computer stuff with it.

Just press and hold the start button for 10sec with your foot OFF the brake. It puts it into accessory mode :)
