The trick about black on the summer is that it has to be 100% cotton/linen and flows. Cannot be skin tight or you will toast. Your shirt fits the mold. Black will absorb the heat from the sun but ur body as well so the heat needs somewhere to escape, hence the need for air flow. I always wondered why I saw middle eastern women wearing black since they are on the desert, but since their clothes is flowy it makes sense. My favorite is black linen dresses. The black hides the wrinkles. Win win.

in the sticky heat, i've never felt comfy in sleeveless tops. sleeveless tops just make rub my pits togther. i prefer something with skin tight sleeves for some sweat wicking. i usually try to wear something like Numi undershirts underneath tops and dresses
Yes, yes...would love to see you in a ponytail. I'm 59 and love wearing a ponytail! My significant other prefers me with my hair down but who cares what he thinks when it is sweltering hot. I will be wearing my ponytail all summer. I like wearing flowy black linen or flowy black cotton poplin dresses in the summer as I think they look so chic.
