Who the hell in her label listened to ''Because of you'' and was like: ''Nah, this song sucks, don't waste your time writing songs!'' Because, honestly I think it's one of top 3 songs she ever recorded!!
Because they had the hitmakers like Max Marton and some other douchebags that wrote the same songs over and over again for different artists that hit #1. They didn't know she could write. And many labels don't want artists to write their songs because they have to pay royalties. The Labels want all the profits, and sigh whenever a singer wants to write their own song. It happened for almost 10 years with Shania Twain before she got famous.
The drama with Luke : It's a bit complicated but he tried to sabotage her with Clive (tried to take credit for Hazel eyes that KC wrote on too) then when she wanted to work with other producers for My December he went online leaked stuff about KC v Clive to give bad pr for her album then tried to fat shame her and disrespect her TO fans on a public message board. KC was made aware by fans. He's a 💯conceited creep. This is ALL pre My Life Would Suck obv so she wasn't feeling friendly to him due to HIS actions.
ANYONE who thinks that Kelly Clarkson had 15 minutes of fame and criticize her because she happened to win a singing contest doesn't understand music. This woman is one of the most talented singers to come around in years. Idol was merely her vehicle to being discovered. She has been in the spotlight because she is incredible and she will be around until she decides she's done. In my opinion, she is the best talent to come out of Idol; I know people will disagree, but that's my two cents.
I think it's BS that she gets criticized for her weight, her appearance, etc. It's her VOICE and her songwriting talents that sell millions of albums and singles, wins her Grammys!
Plus people overlook that some have illnesses that contribute, like theyll say shes overweight but fail to hear why, because she has an autoimmune condition, I myself have 2 that contribute to weight gain, I eat extremely healthy and workout when I can but I can gain if my disease decides to hate me that year lol

I love Kelly and I was SO into Idol and I remember voting for her over and over and over back then. I was so proud of her. My whole family didn't even care about Idol it was HER that got us excited every night to watch. She truly is a superstar.
Kelly is just lovely inside and out. Such a genuine, down-to-earth woman who just has a zest for life. Wish she and I were friends! Must be great to be in Kelly's family and have her on your side.

I’m a Washingtonian, but all of my family is from the south, and they still have the accents (all kinds too - Texas, South Carolina, Virginia...). You wouldn’t be able to tell that they have influenced my west-coast accent unless you get me very excited or very angry, and then it comes out. That, and there are a few words I pronounce more like they do in the south. Ain’t language nifty? :)
"Run!" That one word of advice says a fudgin lot about singing/talent competitions doesn't it? I'm seriously glad she's survived all these years and is sane because most people in her place would have ended up being drug addicts or just downright problematic! It's a weird world out there!
I never realised how down to earth and nice she was. Was never the biggest fan of her tunes but I wish more young people heard her message. She’s a real lady

Kelly - take my words to heart. Years ago I was dating a girl who was featured in Playboy College Spring Edition(not mentioning year) and after 4 months of her reliving that aspect of her highlight reel she was exhausting and not being comfortable made her attitude "mean" and "too good". Me being her military war hero after 1st deployment boyfriend with an extremely gym built body and being featured for Army public relations and being honored at so many functions to be Army Poster Soldier. All I did one morning in Iraq was do my job as Squad Leader after my vehicle was blown up by an IED. I won't go further into details what happened and my own actions but listen.... I've got such a HUGE crush on you Kelly... if you weren't happily married with kids i was gonna RU-vid video of ME asking YOU to my very formal dress attire of US Army St. Barbara's Day Ball held once a year strictly for Army Field Artillery Regiment. I was SERIOUSLY gonna sneak in my invitation to you as my date to have the newspapers cover the story so it'd reach you about me asking you to be my date (years ago this was gonna be done) but I was too late :). Treated you as the upmost perfect lady and would've been on my best behavior and complete gentleman at all times (no funny business conducted or perceived). I feel you are so very down to earth and clumsy at times as any normal person is. I dont think you've experienced military ball before and why not have that honor of me taking a princess to her first Ball and having nothing but great memories to last lifetime. DAMN... Thank your being way you are.
I love Kelly! I'm from Tennessee. It's so funny to hear her country accent so pronounced when she was younger talking about getting the song 'Because of You' on her second album. She is awesome. One of the best vocal ranges and voices in music all around! She can sing anything from swing standards to rap and everything in between and do it all well!!
I love you Kelly no matter if your big or small, I am a big woman and ppl can cruel, so I'm like if they can live with I can choose to ignore it if I want to. Some ppl don't get the fact that you have and your husband have been building your family. I think it's awesome that y'all decide to have step up with your kids. You are an awesome, beautiful woman. The song is awesome "Because of you" she has done the most beautiful lyrical songs hands down I could listen to her for hours never repeat a song and enjoy each one thinking it's the best then you hear the next and the next......

She talks just like me, not lying or sugarcoating. I love it! I feel like people can misunderstand talking like this as complaining or being negative, but it is real.
The part she talked about, being a song writer also & people not taking her seriously, that doesn't surprise me. Most people who have a talent for singing, also have a talent for song writing or poetry, which often can be made into a song. And Kelly tops that because she is more than just talented, she's truly one of the best singing talents I've ever heard. But what has always drawn me to Kelly is that she is just that...KELLY, she doesn't try to be anyone or anything else. She is the whole package & what you see is what you get from her, she's 100% truthful & real, with everything. Say what you want, but Kelly Clarkson, in spite of the industry, has always been a class act to me.
I absolutely agree with Kelly here! Even if you have the job of your dreams, it is still hard work. There is good and bad in everything. She is amazingly talented! Her voice gives me goosebumps, and she is a brilliant songwriter!!

For the longest time Because of You was the only song by her that I knew and obsessed over. The song stood on its own that when. I'm impressed she wrote it herself, and not only did the industry not think the song was good, period, but they also didn't believe in her ability to write a good song. Wow.
It's surprised me how much it meant to me that she said something about working with a girl who's really skinny and what everybody says about her... I'm pretty small and there's a point where it gets upsetting hearing about it. I can't gain weight to save my life. It was oddly validating and made me feel good about myself.

I went to watch the live auditions for the voice last year. all the judges came out to say hi to the fans, but kelly was the ONLY one that was smiling ear to ear and came up to the fans behind the line to personally shake as many hands as she could. she was the only one who acted like she really wanted to be there
15 minutes of fame..... 19 years later she's still here! I love the handfull of genuine people who won those shows, like little mix, Kelly, Jessica Mauboy and guy Sebastian 💖
the way shes able to critique impossible mainstream standards without shittint on other women, reqlly speaks to her character as a person. Shes not a pickme like Pink. shes real and thats so nice
