For me what made that moment special was that at the time, i really wanted Dolph Ziggler to win the belt but i didn't expect it. Always entertaining to watch in the ring but i didn't think they would push him judging on how he performed against other wrestlers. Although at that time he was at certain points a upper mid card having elimination chamber matches against the big stars. It's a shame, he's good at selling moves but his move set and attitude suits at least the upper mid card role. He does deserve a few title matches more than he got. Not expecting him to be at the top, but i think he earned at least a bit more and not being thrown down a cliff to jobber territory.
I still remember to this day how many times, at the end of every PPV main event, the audience was shouting "Ziggler! Ziggler! Ziggler!" WWE really cooked the hype. When it happened I remember it as one of the biggest pop I've ever heard
John Morrison should have been World champion material in WWE he very underrated and he can have great matches with anybody he should have been a eight time wwe champion but sadly that’s not what WWE think of him
I think Dolph is one of those wrestlers that at this point in his career, actually wants to put over other guys. Besides, when your willing to lose to everyone, it keeps you on TV. 💲
I started watching WWE around 2012 maybe, and Dolph become my favorite instantly. I love his moves, i love his show off character, and how good he’s selling the moves. It’s very sad to see him lose to everyone, but i’m happy if I see him wrestle. He was my number 1 when i was a child, and i don’t care if he’s a jobber now, or he’ll never win again, i’ll cheer for him till the day he retires ❤
Similar response I would give. I accidently watched WWE after long years of gap while I was changing channels 😂. I saw him fighting alone with the shield in a handicap match on raw. I was amazed and impressed by his performance. I instantly became a fan of him and still loves him.
Dolph Ziggler is the most handsome and perfect option & pick you could've went with for a thumbnail. He had such a terrible and tragic fall in wwe and had the talent to be the best in the world like his motto was in the wwe. mans literally created Drew McIntyre like how Seth created Roman Reigns
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld Mate, you clearly don't know of what are you talking about. He's a great wrestler and an amazing seller. You're just a troll
Let’s not forget about Evan Bourne, athleticism of the young Rey Mysterio and will go down as one of the best RKOs that Randy Orton has ever hit on someone (which was Evan’s idea btw)
Asuka as well. I was really happy with her heel turn. I thought we were gonna see the return of the undefeated Asuka again. But once she lost to Bianca at Wrestlemania, I fear they'll turn her into a jobber again. I have nothing against Bianca, in fact she's one of my favorite wrestlers, but Asuka didn't need to lose. Great video as always!
I’ll say that both Drew and Cody were jobbed out then fired and after all that they are back in WWE and future legends. I don’t think that status would’ve happened if they didn’t have the obstacles to begin with.
Another talent that I will always be upset was never given the opportunity to become World Champion is Shelton Benjamin. That dude is an absolute beast of an athlete.
Drew McIntyre deserves better booking & creative direction already . Still its damn shame that he didn't won the World title in front of live crowds in presence yet
Once again:…. Dolph had a dark match last night in Seattle and people popped for him! He’s been in the game so long! He’s def an HBK seed that didn’t get through: but respect
Dolph is one of the most missed used stars of all time. He more than deserves a title run especially for his loyalty. Cody Rhodes should have had his push at money in the bank in 2013. He was so over during that ladder match. One of the biggest misses of all time.
WWE messed up. They turned her Babyface, which was stoopid, as she needed to be a heel because of all the bimboes Vince let in. Then they had Victoria, who legit could wrestle and athletic, lose to the aforementioned bimboes who can't really wrestle. Not only that WWE didn't put her in the HOF. But they put a whole bunch of bimboes who can't really wrestle in the HOF. Something smells fishy
While Finn balor isn’t a jobber he was just their to enhance talent like Austin theory and lose almost everyone of his matches in just 5-10 minutes and it hurts as he has been my favorite wrestler since NWJP; dumb decision from Vince as usual 😔
It really hurts me to see Ziggler being used like this bro. The man is one of the best in the company and he is being treated like this. I can accept the fact that he has to lose sometimes but losing all the time is just not right. Ziggler is the entire package you need from a superstar. He can talk, he can actually wrestle and he has charisma. He can basically do anything you need to put on a great match. He has all the tools but dammit 😢
The Heath Slater 'I Got Kids' bit is still one of my all time faves. Slater and Rhino were a pretty over tag team during a time when WWE was recovering from the tire fire that was 2015
Dolph’s main problem is that he sells moves incredibly well that he’s more useful staying as a jobber than a high card wrestler or even champion. Honestly I hope Dolph is given another title run in the future or at least thinks about jumping over to another company like New Japan or AEW.
Where did The Miz go he’s also not given the same respect that he deserves like every superstar in this list . He’s super talented and loyal just like Dolp and Cody and he should be treated well .
I was about to ask the same thing. Miz is my favorite wwe superstar. Note I said superstar bcos he plays his heel role so perfectly year after year and always ready to make anyone look good. He doesn’t care if just from NXT or inexperienced he is ready to put anyone over and make the crowd root for them even if they’re a heel. My best heel performer ever in WWE. Can’t wait to see him inducted into the HOF. P.S. I heard he is really sweet in real life.
One of my favorite things about Dolph Zigler, that was said about him was whenever he was then feuding with Chris Jericho and I saw a meme or t-shirt that read as follows: “Man of a 1001 holds vs Man who can sell a 1001 holds” And that perfectly summed up Dolph Zigler to a T. His most crush lost, to me, came in 2008 Summerslam, when he wrestled Rey Mysterio, and how their match absolutely stole that entire show and the most heartbreaking thing about that match was Rey didn’t even want to put him over and without a doubt, Dolph should had one that one. As much as I love Rey Rey, I lost a lot of respect for him after that match. It took me years for me to respect him again after that match.
Crazy how mustafa Ali could have been WWE champion hopefully HHH restores his career and pushes him for a US title opportunity or he goes for the IC title maybe even nxt as bron breaker is most likely going to the main roster
I just saw him on Main Event vs Tyler Bate. Great match. This is awesome chants. Ziggler is still over! If you want to see a Ziggler win in 2023, I reccomend this match.
John Morrison & Justin Gabriel & should have been on this list those 2 guys are so talented & had potential I always saw Morrison as WWE champion caliber superstar & as for Gabriel he would've made a great mid card talent I saw him possibly as a 3 or 4 time intercontinental champion & maybe 2 time US champion especially with his high-flying wrestling skills & Capetown Warewolf gimmick BUT at least Morrison got to win Tag team , ECW & intercontinental championships & could be a future hall of famer BUT unfortunately I can't say the same thing about Justin Gabriel. Another person that had so much potential was Neville I felt if had been booked well if his The Man That Gravity Forgot character that he could have been a former 3 or 4 time intercontinental champion & former United States champion & could've possibly seen him go against Ricochet or Mustafa Ali in a dream match. Other wrestlers that I thought had potential were Tony Nese , Jack Gallagher , and TJP
Saddest part is Dijakovic....If you know him before WWE you know him...a huge streak in Beyond Wrestling...great in-ring work..but sadly wasted. He shouldn't have gone for WWE. Now Kenny's got a point calling him Dominik Dighead lol...Keith Lee,Damian Priest and Dijakovic...three huge pillars who could have had great feuds if used appropriately
Still feel for dolph He should have been turned into main eventer after survivor series 2014... Still hope he becomes a world champion before retiring 😢
You know it's sad when most, if not all, of these wrestlers are/were well-loved by his peers 😢. Just harsh that morality & hard work don’t pay off for them.
I want to add one EC3. He's got sop much talent and skill, and he completely dominated in TNA. Time he got back in the WWE they treated him like a joke.
An honorable mention should be Natalya. She's a member of the Hart Dynasty and she's a great technical wrestler. But so some reason, WWE can't seem to give her a consistent push and she's often been jobbing for other talent.
Natalya is good but Charlotte, Rhea, Asuka and others are just better, maybe they should try to make Natalya a vicious heel, as face she is just boring.
How about 10 wrestlers in WWE that went from jobber to champion in any space of time? The most infamous example in my book being Jinder Mahal in 2017, who went from jobber to WWE World Heavyweight Champion in just the space of about a month.
Honestly, McIntyre was super green back when they originally tried to push him. He would never have made it past the midcard if they hadn’t fired him first; the dude came back with a vengeance.
It all boils down to Vince. I honestly think he stopped caring about the audience and his roster a long long long time ago. A lot of good/great talents were wasted being in the WWE
Indy wrestler: *goes to WWE* Fans a week later when Indy wrestler doesn’t already have at least two titles: “uNfAiR! THeY’rE wAsTinG hiM!¡” Dolph: 🤷🏻♂️
QShelton Benjamin comes to mind when I think of wasted talent. This guy is one of the most athletic guys and has some 5 start matches. He should have been a world champion
I thought she was Japanese? Anyway it's a known fact now that WWE avoided the long game when pushing ethnic talent. Definitely not an Asian one. And I know you old school cats are gonna shout "Yokozuna"....him and Mr. Fuji were Americans yo. Of Samoan and Hawaiin descent respectively
its so funny how Dolf Ziggler had to lose the belt cause he was gonna be out for maybe a month with a concussion and then never recieved the push agian. then Roman Riegns gets the belts and becomes a part time wrestler that barely shows up.
They definitely jobbed Cedric Alexander and he Had some great potential. I know he didn't listen to Vince hence why that happened but dudes great in the ring
i have been a wrestling fan for lets say 20 years now. i had many wrestlers i like, but till this day i only have Dolph Ziggler Merch. He is charismatic, is probably the best seller i have ever seen and a very funny man. i know that he probably won't be pushed anymore, but there was one thing that frustrated me so much this year: he wasnt in the rumble. he is so close to get the all-time first place for most rumble entrances and they didnt put him in. this is the one thing i wish for his legacy as a wrestler.. to always be remembered when we get the numbers for the royal rumble. cause noone will remember his epic survivor series win in a few years.. or his cash in for the world title. (except maybe a few fans) it would be such a shame if he didnt get anything for all these years of hard work and dedication - and of course stealing the show. :)
