Tips To Get You Closer To A 36 Star Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact! These tips may not be specific to the Spiral Abyss but they are tailored towards optimizing your account for the Spiral Abyss since it's the hardest content we currently have in Genshin.

An important thing to keep in mind is don’t underestimate the power of a good support character! When I got Hu Tao she was great, but it was only after I finished leveling supports like Albedo and Kaeya that I saw my stars go from 29 to 31

@@e554 i was xing qiuless for my first 8 months of playing genshin impact,i bought him from the shop and rolled kokomi banner for him,before xing qiu i was at around 33 stars,after getting him i am currently max 35 star and some of my friends were benettless (at least i got him c0 on noelle banner,while they were without him till ar 53 :D )

Great, and very reasonable tips! If I could offer one of my own. Cheat the chamber system! What I mean is rather than trying to get 3 stars on every chamber with one team, try with a different team suited for each chamber. Get 3 stars in Chamber 1 with a team, then quit, switch it out, and very lazily scrape through it again with a team for Chamber 2. The catch is it's time-consuming but I personally have found it's improved my actual gameplay skills as well.

Yup this one is a great tip! I realized after the fact that I could have added that and buff fishing for better cards over multiple days but the script was originally just about being efficient with resources so I got a little focused on that.

Trust me, the weapon levelling tip is so important. I thought weapon level didn’t matter at all and kept my weapons on lvl 50-60 for ages with 80-90 characters. When I levelled my weapons, my damage became SO MUCH better

8:20 if you wanna be further frugal, I recommend farming the rest of the exp once you're at the point of "lost exp" from books. If you're at the point of 800 or 900 exp being left, I would just use an exp book. However, it''s not that hard to get that missing 125 exp just from open world monsters alone.

Yeah it's pretty quick with some areas that have like 7 slimes in one circle but despite my love of effiency even I don't go to that length to save 1/20th of Heroes Wit. I'm still lazy afterall!

i actually leave quiet a bit of exp left like 300 ish when i level them up, just have them out when you gather the drops from bosses and boom, 200 exp lmao

Another tip is to look at spiral abyss usage data. It might not be much, but you get to see firsthand what teams people use on which floors, along with the artifact set and weapon choices. Although people like to trash on meta slaves, it IS called meta for a reason. There's nothing wrong with playing with your favorite characters, but there are some characters that are able to clear the abyss with less investment and more ease.

Game sadly is rigged. 5x Xp can only happen from time to time. I did use it to get better loot, as i was slowly upgrading my characters in instance and as soon as i got 5x, i switched out of menu and looted dungeon.

No. 9 is what I always do, I even leave the exp without using any exp books and go kill some monsters (especially ruin sentinels in Tsurumi and Seirai) to gain exp. Trust me it's worth your time. I've been doing this for some times and I managed to upgrade much more characters :)

I only level my favourite characters to 90. It's essentially giving them a gold star for being such good boys and girls and nothing more. I got Albedo to 90 on the day I got him just because I like him that much (and because I had pre-farmed specifically for him, so that's what all my resources were for). However, I made the fatal mistake of ignoring talents until pretty late in the game, and I'm still paying for my hubris. I'm AR 56 but my characters frankly underperform when compared to players with the same AR because I'm still trying to bring my characters up to speed

just to be nitpicky, it's not necessarily majority xiangling's damage for vape childe. ideally they're around 50:50 as far as bulk damage distribution. investment should go evenly between the two so that you're efficiently spending your resources. it's a lot cheaper to get two characters to 50% damage potential than to get one character to 75% damage potential if you were to prioritize one over the other though it'd absolutely be xiangling, so the tip is still valid

I've had plenty of discussions with friends and the Artifact Strongbox. Just about all of them say it's wasteful for the very same reason you said why people don't do it; Artifact EXP. I fully agree with you on the Strongbox though, I was always in the boat that anything that can save you resin in the long run is 100x worth doing; and I was not wrong. I got a full 50/150 C/CDMG Wanderer's Set for Ganyu from the Strongbox; and 3/4 pieces for Noblesse Diona. It is also another source of 5 star Goblets and Circlets. Something that people I think don't look at enough; those 2 pieces are the hardest to get 'perfect' or 'excellent'; and are the most likely candidates for Off-set pieces. That said though; I wouldn't throw all of the trash 5 star artifacts into the strongbox all the time. I do it once every few days of Artifact farming; it's basically another day's worth of resin at that point.

I had the same gut reaction when the feature was released, I thought it was just a trap. At that time I wasn't doing my daily artifact run on the regular and really needed the EXP so I put a bit too much value in the 5 star fodder as EXP alone. But I took a moment to really think about it and how I was essentially throwing away resin since artifact EXP can be farmed entirely for free, just slowly.

The hardest part of my 36 run was the floor killing me in 12-3. The hounds corrosion compounded with the the floor damage kept insta killing me as soon as shield went down, especially my hu tao

I learned my lesson to not fight electro hounds with electro chars. They moved wildly when enraged and made me waste my attacks everytime.

The thing that stops from getting 36 stars is my potato phone, I can’t get any energy recharge until I finished the battle meaning I can’t spam burst, enemies take to long to load, and it’s laggy as heck

Glad to have found a channel like this. Genshin content on youtube is majorly the typical 6-7 content creators who have became quite huge with it and their channels aren't really the type you'd like to visit for guides and help. Ofcourse they are fun to watch but it is a fact that they aren't useful to learn the game. Creators like you are important for the community and the game to teach people how things work. i did all of these things and followed all these tips to a T for like months already and i still can only 34 star clear... i MIGHT be able to squeeze out a 35 clear but the 36 star clear always seems out of sight...

You might be able to get it with a lot of time investment with chamber targetting or coming back every day to check if the buffs are better but that can be a lot of effort.

before AR45 farm the exp leylines that'll give you green books, you don't get them much in higher ARs so save them, it'll help you really optimize your exp book usage

#7 is HUGE and I see too many players not using artifact strongbox, then complaining about artifact quality being too low to get 36*. It's an insane difference, it makes your artifact farming 50% more efficient!

34-36 stars incoming when I have Xiao SHEEEESH... highest 32 so far☠ I just have Ayaka and Hu Tao as maindps but I dont have an ayaka sands and without Mona her ult does nothing so i have to wait😭

another thing i find saves a lot of pain and resin is knowing which domains to farm for artifacts. crimson and thundering fury are good artifacts, but lavawalker and thundersoother are aren't, so spend lots of time farming in those domains could bring in diminishing returns. farming emblem and shiminewea's is probably a better use of your resin, since more characters can make use of them. for example, crimson might be a better artifact set for hu tao, but I run her on shiminewea's because I got some pretty good pieces while farming emblem for Raiden.

I have only built 4 characters just enough to beat the enemies on the quests. I'm still on 3-3 (abandoned it after i got xiangling) even though I'm already AR57 haha. Maybe i will try to build additional units, if i'm not lazy, and try finishing it up to 8-3 for primos.

I've been successfully able to 36 star abyss since 3.3 and properly built all 12 of my 5 stars as well as 4 star supports so I've got a lot of different team options now and find it quite easy.

I think 9-10 talent is generaly not worth it the increase is so minimal its only increasing 5-10% of your damage and for that prize no way that is worth it

I do agree to an extent but as crowns are so limited it's hard to truly be wasteful with them to a detrimental level plus it depends just how important the ability is to the team overall. This is of course only considering crowns that make sense, not those who decide to triple Crown Barbara or something.

@@Ratheil Hehe, I am 4s catalyst fans. My sucrose's talents are 9-11-12 I think. Lisa still building (7-8-10). I crowned my Barbara, her talents level is 10-12-12. Then my Yanfei and Ning Guang are triple Crowned. My support Xiang Ling (5-12-12), Fischl (4-12-12), Benette (crowned burst), Xingqiu (6-12-12), Diona (2-12-11, still building) are having high talent too. I love my supports although I wasted some books for their normal attack in the initial stage. If only I had watched this video before I play. Well no regrets!

Need advice: very close to getting last ascension of the characters I plan on using in Abyss the most, have about 10 4-stars that previously need constellations to be truly useful (in some comps like Beidou, Sara and Gorou, later having no 5 star to support) and/or have low priority like the Traveler or starters. It makes some sense on getting Hu Tao and Kazuha closer to 90, maybe giving some less scale dependent main DPS a few levels over as well to narrow the level gap of floors 11 and 12, but should I funnel extra books into them and best supports after or aim for the 20 wishes by raising the 4 stars to the next to last ascension?

im always really sad about having many good characters yet i cant complete floor 12 (i have a c1 ganyu, a hu tao, eula, xiao, raiden, klee and other dps too) but i got all these characters in such a short amount of time so i never focused on building only one of them, xiao is built but tbh i dont want to use him because my team with him usually requires characters i use for my melt ganyu (zhongli, bennett) klee and hu tao are also built but hu tao has a lvl 60 dragons bane bc i gave xiao the deathmatch, ive tried many different team comps before but it just doesnt work and now im trying to build specific characters so i can finally clear floor 12. (im ar 56 so it makes me feel even more guilty that i have never beaten the abyss)

I am ar57 and still cant clear it, pretty much because of several things you've pointed out in this list lol - i've levelled all my characters to 70 or higher, at least 10 of whom are level 90. but honestly this is just how i like to play and im in no rush to get those last 150 or so primos lol. video was still interesting though and it's nice to know im doing some things right, and i learnt a few things too like prioritising levelling weapons - most are still sitting at lvl 60 hehe... anyway thanks i love your videos!!!

Guilty of spreading my resources too thin. but there's characters that i think ill like that end up being a waste and then the cycle continues. Also i need to stop getting new characters lol. i need to focus on what i got now. Itto is the last one im getting and then im waiting for zhongli re-run to roll. Because i dont have him and we all know how busted he is. I dont mind only getting like 26 stars. There's plenty of events that give you primogems.

I've been f2p maining Beidou with Yanfei in the second slot, and -another fire character - and -sheild/heal - as third and fourth, but I feel like I'm not using those last two slots well. I almost never actually put them on the battlefield, they're really only there for the resonance buff and emergencies. Who would mix well with Beidou and Yanfei, would you say? I'm mostly using Yanfei cus she can consistently set the grass on fire which let's me do the counter without having to time it properly shdbsjns

It`s hard when everyone suggests Benett and after half a year playing I still have not pulled him lol I have built one good team and the second I am just not sure what will work, the dmg is never enough especially on the one where you gotta protect that damn stone, I passionately hate that one and have decided the 11 and 12th floor of the abyss ain`t worth my nerves, I haven`t even unlocked the 12th. Not like the rewards are that awesome either. Maybe if I play for a couple more years seeing how the artifact rng is hahahaha

It is just what it is without any stats, but building EM on sucrose will improve your team's damage through her passives via EM.

leveling to 90 isn't a trap when your damage scales off of def as you said with swurls, so like albedo, and itto. and well not much goro,,, BUT at c4 has a heal based off of his def... **goro should be full def no geo damage% as hes just a pure buffer then/healer at c4**

I can't do shit on abyss now. Since they only buff Geo character and I don't like and would never raise a Geo character even if it's Zhongli. Geo just isn't for me. It would feel like a waste for me to raise characters that I don't like.

I recommend ignoring the buffs in the domain. Work on gathering a team that doesn't need it then if it happens to align with your team bonus but if it doesn't you won't be outta luck.

I follow all of these except only investing in my favourites regardless of usefulness which will be my ultimate downfall haha (*tries to hide crowned Kaeya and Zhongli normal attacks) Also a ping of 600 but only in abyss?? Just why though.

It's perfectly okay to invest in less popular characters, fun should come first and really just about any character can succeed, some just take more investment and effort than others.

Breh I still can't 9 star floor 12 even though I have hyper carry Raiden Shogun and hyper carry Ganyu currently at 6, with chamber 2 being at 2 stars and chamber 3 at 1 star(10 seconds away from 5 mins)

I have to respectfully disagree with Point number 7. The 3 artifacts you are trading cost you 60 resin, and you are getting back only 20 resin. As Resin and not time are the limiting factor, trading 3 for 1 is a pure sucker's trade. If you wanted to be patient, you should continue to farm the domain as 3 chances rather than 1 seem like the better option. On top of which, you get extra exp and mora by actually completing the domain.

Artifacts being used for EXP aren't technically worth any resin since you can farm artifacts daily without resin. If you do that daily you'll have enough EXP to level artifacts unless you're getting an insane amount of good quality artifacts worth leveling. You're turning junk artifacts into something that has resin value. You might have to wait sometimes to finish leveling an artifact but it's being more efficient in the long run.

@@Ratheil Whether you can get free EXP or not is irrelevant. You already have a sunk cost of resin in getting the artifact in the first place. The fact that it's a garbage piece doesn't put the 20 resin back in your pocket. In your clip you traded in 39 pieces to get 13 artifacts, 2 of which you kept. The artifact exp you lose in getting those 39 pieces isn't the issue, it's the 780 resin you dumped to get those 39 pieces. The only benefit to the trade is not having to run the domain another 13 times, which I'll agree is a big benefit, but you are only getting time efficiency, not resin efficiency.

I ONLY 90 D xiangling benny and zhongle to 90 as benny and zl actually gets a boost with lvl 90. as for xiangling i love trollling hutao mains with my homa c6 crowned lvl 90 xiangling.my ganyu ayaka baal venti mona diluc jean all are 80. for me i doubled crowned ganyu as i melt ganyu and morgana all the time

My time is Kazu 85, Childe 89, Xiangling 88, Benny 85 Ayaka 88, Xq 85, Chong 85, Jean 80(not ascended) Everyone is around 699, ayaka 888 and Kazuha Chong have 2 crowns each Artifacts around 50:100 crit and dps around 50:160 crit I'm 35 stars except for florr 12-3 I leved up mona and diona to try ayaka morgana and sometimes it works, but I feel better with sword users I'm about to give up, I have no more energy (mental, fisical, u name it) Everyone say it is easy, but I just can't... aaaaa

My main 9 I use are diluc razor bennett Kazuha raiden Childe kokomi Chongyun and yoimiya.. but I can only get to ahout 21 or so stars.. does anyone have any recommended lineups for abyss? Kazuha’s side does best but it’s my side 2 that struggles

i would suggest building a xingqiu because he will drastically increase your diluc damage with vape. team comp: diluc xingqiu kazuha bennett. for your other team you could play either a yoimiya raiden or kokomi raiden. for the first comp i would recommend building a sara for raiden buff, anemo with veridescent venerer, or flex healer/shielder. for second comp i suggest building fischl/beidou for taser and then a flex anemo with vv set childe, chongyun, n razor don’t have much synergy with the other characters and isn’t worth the extra investment for abyss.
