For Isu, you could definitely go the plus 1 counter route and play the Abzan Outlast creatures to buff your commander. Use Abzan Falconer, Abzan Battlepriest, Ainok Bondkin, and Tuskguard Captain, for flying, lifelink, first strike, and trample respectively. I like the idea of a fight deck though. My personal fight deck uses Rhonas the Indomitable as commander. For Spelunking, playing some Cave lands would actually be pretty on theme for a yeti. Decisive Denial is also great. Very versatile removal.

Volo was my first EDH deck I built. The Simic counter spells are always a must have. I mostly play it as a control deck so I can slow down the table while keeping Volo and his copies alive. Lots of shapeshifter creatures to double up on Volo and powerful ETB effects. Leyline Immersion is a great aura which gives Volo ward 2 and the ability to tap for 5 mana. Aboleth Spawn is a fish horror which copies your opponents ETB triggers. Intruder Alarm is great in Volo, and let's you take crazy turns with all your mana dorks. Biovisionary is fun alternate wincon if you play with copy creatures. He's a human wizard, so Volo doesn't copy him, but if you manage to get 4 copies of Biovisionary out under your control you win at the end step.

I do appreciate that you take the time to tweak and optimize your lists. You are not just tossing out some generic Edhrec copy and calling it a video. Keep it up, I might send a deck for you to review

Between Noyan Lands and Incubator tokens, you've contributed to my purchasing of several mirrorweaves as soon as I have some extra cash. Love these sort of work process videos, you sort of get to highlight key differences your commanders and your specific builds of them have from the EDHrec soup. Would love to see long-form videos on your Noyan and Lysaga decks if you can make the time to test them out!

Baba is in a much better place! A savvy commenter pointed out that mirrorweave only turns the creatures into lands, it doesn't actually board wipe. But I somehow find it even more hilarious that the card turns my opponents creatures into lands. It makes me want to run it even more! 😂

My friend has a keene deck that does this, he rarely plays the deck now. What I can tell you is that a pay 9 life ward commander, with a play lands and win the game it's quite damn hard to interect becouse we don't run land destruction. His wins were so boring he suggested we continue the game as if he was never there. It sucks for the 3 players to struggle every turn agaisnt each other just for a dude to ramp and win. Whenever he plays that now it's just 3 average power 7 decks beating the shit out of keene. So I can't recommend anyone spend money on keene before actually trying it with their playgroup or LGS buddies. ANYWAY I like your videos, and respect your content a lot. From what I understood you're fairly new into edh but let me tell you, your game sense is way up compared to other youtubers. the first time i came here was to a Eriette video, what i took from it was cantrip auras

I just built a slimefoot and squee deck and I love it! Still working on fixing the mana but definitely a fun commander!

I built a 9 fingers deck I focused mainly on Voltron with a lot of counters including the ones with counter abilities. I went gates as a sub theme as a backup win as im getting double strike triggers with resonator effect. The ward is amazing as it's hesitation inducing and once I add Roaming Throne to double trigger the attack and kicking the ward 9 life to ward 18 life woooooboy...

I have a decent amount of snow related spells and lands for isu. Snow got some good support from kaldheim. In most ways I would want to build isu around tap/freeze/stun and pillowfort effects. But then they released yenna. Which has me torn between duping pacifisms counter theme. But fight- i hadn't really considered that. It's a really cool idea. I like the possibility of a bind or fight deck. Goad would be nice too,

For The Scorpion God, I feel like you really need a why to get Midnight Banshee onto the battlefield at instant speed. So mill or discard Banshee to graveyard, then keep up enough mana for instant speed reanimate. But are those hoops even worth jumping through?

I have a fun obviously casual Beamtown Bullies edh deck. Would love to see your take it on. Fun commander even if I do have to sometimes sub out Level/Eater of Days depending on play group lol

This is the first video of yours I've seen (it's fantastic), so not sure if you've discussed elsewhere - if a major expense is cards (the fetches alone are probably more than my average decks cost), how do you feel about proxies? If only for playtesting in paper in addition to goldfishing (presumably online)? I love these suggestions, and I know EDH Deckbuilding would love to see your nod to Vanish into Memory, it's one of his favorites.

I did do a video on proxies which can basically be summed up by saying: "Proxying is fine as long as you have a rule zero discussion with the table. But we need to ensure that everyone is on board and we aren't proxying tons of power just because we can." So I think it is a wonderful idea for playtesting! I would highly encourage you to do so. As long as it fits your group, go for it.

Nine-Fingers Keene is my pet deck and is tuned. I have got to it be quite consistent to win within Turn 6-8. It has become a menace (no pun intended) within multiple playgroups. I do run Scapeshift, but currently playtesting if Reshape the Earth is worth running in the deck or if its too slow.

I used to play Awaken Azorius in standard back in the day Noyan was the all star of the list later I changed the deck a little bit to be more around him our store was very budget non meta deck heavy and I have become the boogeyman of the store for a while with Azorius land deck beautiful memories now i have to build him in EDH and punch people with 21 power land again hahaha

What do you think about Sauron, The Dark Lord? Whats the BEST way to build It? I have seen: Reanimator, Wheels, Aristocrats and even a Voltron version. Thank you so much, such a great video!! :)

I can definitely see a future deck tech for Sauron and maybe incorporating all of these different builds. I am adding it to my idea board.

Also, unfortunately mirrorweave isn’t a boardwipe, because the creature aspect of the lands aren’t a copyable trait, so it does turn everything into a land which can’t block, but isn’t quite a board wipe :/

True! I just realized this. Magic is in fact, a very difficult game. haha. But still a super neat trait and you could possibly even ramp your opponents? Tons of weird synergies here. I love it.

This current version is pretty sweet. I actually have to NOT play it against any middle power decks because it just runs them over easily and has the chance to easily punch above its weight towards power level 8s.

Is there a specific reason you're not playing Witch of the Moors in Baba Lysaga? Too slow, maybe? Seems good to me on paper at least.

I just played it last night in a high power pod and one-shot two opponents. One with commander damage and another with a 37 direct damage essence harvest. It feels good. :)
