10 Unique Fast Travel Secrets You Totally Missed 

Hate to be the "actually" guy in the comments but the duck in Link to the Past isn't optional - it's the only way to get to Misery Mire, if I'm remembering the game properly.

I got the platinum trophy for Just Cause 3 (100+ hours) and used the portal zero times. Truly a valid addition to this list!

That Just Cause 3 to Fallout 4 transition was wild.

Also MGSV has a fast travel with boxes . You can be in a box and get "delivered" to another location

The only unrealistic aspect of the GTA4 Metro is that you don't get murdered every time you use it

So, it seems they got rid of Moonglade teleport for druids in WoW. Btw, there were more unique ways to fast travel in WoW, like the Drill from the Brewfest or Jaina's Locket, which was a necklace that could open a portal.

I'm proud to say I knew about the first warp zone back when I first played the game on the NES. Don't remember how though.

Okay, one mistake I was fine with. This is starting to show a lack of effort. Fast travel requires a teleportation of some kind. It has to take less time to watch the animation than it otherwise would to get to the location. Finding a getting on a faster vehicle by jumping into the roof of a train is not fast travel unless it then cuts to you arriving in the city. Otherwise, you just traveled faster, not engaged in fast travel. Why make videos if you don't think words have meanings?

Since you all brought up portals in WoW, I'm surprised you didn't talk about the engineering ways of portaling to different areas like tanaris and the frozen north. I know there are others but it has been so long since I've played that I have forgotten what they are.

Morrowind technically has a fast travel. But it's actually multiple travel methods that feeds into one another. It rewards people who know the map and systems and who know which routes to take to get where they want to be.

I don't personally use the FO 4 institute teleporter very much because of how long it takes my computer to load the institute and then load the location I'm wanting to go. Plus, the game doesn't really punish you for wasting time the way that some of the earlier versions did.

I found awesome fast travel mechanic in real life. Sadly, it's illegal in most countries and requires consumables only available from shady dealers.

That subway trick is also in GTA 3, except the train was above ground, not underground and the bird in zelda 3 is needed to beat zelda 3 and there's three small boats in skyrim that are well hidden that also work as fast travel (One is in dawnstar, it's a small row boat near the museum, pretty sure that's been there since vanilla skyrim)

A Link to the Past shouldn't be on this list. You actually NEED to the flute in order to get into misery mire dungeon. It is required to fly to warp point 6 in order to access the Dark World.

It's a more recent but the game Animal Well has an instant teleport with the animal flute that takes you to the room where all the other animal headed portals are hubbed. You can learn the song from the fish at the bottom of this hub area as it comes out of the water and following it's tune

Skyrim fast travel is so annoying. In game time you lose hours when if you just run there it'll take a fraction of the time.

How about Minecraft and traveling via Nether?

Dreamwalk replaces teleport moonglade and unless they changed it you have to get it by doing leigon content not just hit level ten

"Since there are no actual forms of fast travel in Just Cause 3" did the script writer not play this game? Because Just Cause 3 very much has fast travel. There is literally a quest in the main campaign that you literally cannot skip, that unlocks fast travel, and it's in like the first 3 hours of the game. At least proof read the scripts and play the game that's literally your job. Wow there's literally more errors 3:03 "jumping past the screen in level 1" No you're on world 1-2 not level 1. Who wrote this trash script?

But... The warp pipes aren't fast travel. They're level skips.

Foolish child, invoking the old names incorrectly... 1) World 1-2. Mario Bros' warp zone is in 1-2, not 1, which doesn't exist, with other warp zones available for discovery after that point if you missed that one. 2) Fast travel that you use one time is a "short cut," not fast travel. Fast travel implies the ability to go both ways and *always* includes multiple uses. Calling the 1-2 warp zone "fast travel" is just as accurate as calling it "fast travel" when you use a mushroom in Mario Kart to make the jump into the cave on Cheep Cheep Beach. Yeah, I guess you're technically traveling faster, but you're not engaging in anything even resembling fast travel. You're just taking a shorter route. So, bad, presenter and/or script writer! There are plenty of awesome choices that didn't need to filling out this list with incorrect entries!

I think we DIDN’T miss these Fast Travel secrets Jess. And the Warp Zone is NOT Fast Travel, as what the Warp Zone actually does is send you straight to the next world whichever pipe you go down, even if you didn’t complete the world you are already in. A Mario game with Fast Travel in it is Super Mario Odyssey and the Bowser’s Fury side mode of the Switch port of Super Mario 3D World.
