girl, I LOVE the energy you bring to your incredible creativity! as a 72 yr. old white lady I can still relate to some of your approaches. My Depression Era father taught me to "make everything go 3 if not 4 times as far as it was originally meant to go". But instead of saying "I made it myself" I think Id say "it is a one of a kind designer piece" When daughter was middle school she was TALL and SKINNY (now 5'!2" saying Mama no girl wants to be 6 ' tall) and I could not buy pants long enough. Began to get yard sale slacks fitting her waist and making those preppy cuffed shorts to match sweaters she had. Friends at school would want to know where she got them and she was embarrassed to say "my mama made it" so I told her to say "it is from a Unique Boutique those one of a kind places... lol worked for years You go girl!!!
I am SO glad I found your channel! I'm just starting to make my own clothes again after a 30yr hiatus and I've forgotten so much. And, as a former VP of Goodwill, I know what gems you can find on the thrift store rack. Now to get brave enough to start cutting in to finds I want to restyle. Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement! Back to binge watching your videos......
Between you and Adey from Well Loved, there is SOOOOO much beautiful and amazing inspiration here! I LOVE this channel. Your vision and creativity are OFF THE CHARTS!!!! I am seam ripping a woman's dress and skirt suit, a man's button up and sweater, and about 5 men's suits. I JUST have to get to sewing up some beautiful creations of my own.
Love LOVE this channel. Can’t wait to try several of these. (But even if I didn’t like a single one; I’d have to watch because of Angelina’s creativity and fun bubbly personality! Love her!
YOU Are amazing!!!! I cannot tell you how excited I get watching these videos I’m already a thrifter. I do my own alterations and I would love to get into this Upcycling. Thank you thank you ❤
Such pretty colors on the orange and magenta tees.....these would be beautiful with the colors mixed as in putting the orange ruffle on the magenta tee.
One of these no sew will be the first thing I going to try when I finally get out the scissors. Also have not been finding a good oversized men's tee that not for a company or something like that. I already saved the videos for some of these. Yea the romper was a little increase in difficulty so that something to look at for next year for my granddaughter maybe. Are the kid going to be doing virtual schooling? That going to be something to juggle with the 3 of them. But at least you can make your own schedule. You are such a blessing. Stay safe! Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
I love the mutton sleeves. Ive been sewing 56 years. I sew technically very well. I even use sewing machine to sew on buttons. Hand and glue I never do! But besides now being old and wont wear sleeveless in public and have a large baby tummy, Im also a plain person. I cant get past my pants being black or stretch pull on jeans! You are helping me to see what more I could do. I often use smaller tshirts...teens have great ones in over printed lace and velvets etc......to replace sleeves. I keep the bottom hem and trace the cap on sleeve I took off. But.....I should be doing more style! I could easily make puff sleeves. Since Im still hovering around 1x...ive been losing weight not much in thrift store fits me. I have bought a lot of interesting tees in prints and graphics. I want to make "material" so I can make tshrit dresses or tunic tops. But I cant think much how to do without it looking like a quilt. I dont quilt so I never developed even that quilters eye on how to mix and match colors and prints. But you are certainly helping my outlook to design!
This makes me so happy! Yayyy! Keep exploring. I was pretty much the same when I first started, very plain. But then I realized it was only because I was bored with what I could find in stores for my budget.
I’m just stumbling upon your channel earlier today so needless to say I’m glad I did! I’m loving the Magenta & Orange tees…. However I did not grasp the method of how you achieved the final look. 😟
Hi everyone, good morning from Nevada... glad to get another video from Angelina today, although my T-shirts are so worn and shredded I don't know if anything can save them ... I might end up using them as stuffing for pillows, hahaha ... I love the mixing it up, maybe I can try that, why not?
Hey Angelina will you please send me the tutorial for adding the mesh to the back of a tee shirt. I also, want to congratulate you on all of your accomplishments. God is good and I'm so happy and proud for you. I got one of your tee shirts when you moved and I hooked it up too. That's my summer wear for this year tee shirts and jeans. Girl you really have me taking tee shirts and men shirts to another dimension. I am enjoying making them and wearing them. Thanks so much for all the sharing that you do.
oooooo I love when the tie dye romper comes up, quite possibly the cutest t shirt upcycle of all time. I've yet to come across a cute AND large enough t shirt though--- ya girls got a long torso. If anyone's come up with a creative solution to this I'd love to know!
Hi. I wanted to ask if you could make a corset t-shirt. I have an hour glass figure and t-shirts look awful in me because they are boxy and make me look bigger. Can you do yarn string up in the back and maybe 2 in the front to make it look like a corset for this curvy girl?
Magenta shoes too! Alrighty, Queen. Tutorials are mind-blowingly super imaginative. Spending lot of time in t-shirt & shorts lately & love everyone of them.
Can someone show me how to add a bottom knot to an old tee shirt. Little sewing. Not a crop top. Just trying to make a baggy shirt a little more fitted.
I've concluded that the only reason your channel isn't bigger is because the RU-vid algorithm is racist and can't appreciate actual talent. I'm not trying to bring anyone else down but some channels simply cut a shirt in half and have 500k subs. You're super creative and so inspiring!
Hello sister I am looking for a Sewing tables I’m having a problem finding one that’s cheap for me because I don’t have that much money and I’m in New York City what is a lotta junk out here but at the same time I’m in a wheelchair and I can’t move around the way I want to so I’m just looking for suggested maybe I can find somebody to help me make one I don’t need that much of Disney space
Try an old table and add legs. You can order legs from IKEA or Amazon. The table tops at IKEA are pretty cheap too and you can choose a smaller size for your space.
