Thank you for going through the trouble and process of showing in detail how to join corners. I will be making raised beds this Spring and don’t have any of the fancy tools after number 8-just the basic ones. This makes me feel like my projects are doable and that I can do it on my own. What a relief. Your video inspired me. And I so appreciate all the detail. It’s the first one I’ve seen where the detail is given with such precision. Thank you, thank you, thank you!😊

Hello, from Brooklyn, NYC. I can honestly say, most woodworking tips/hacks on RU-vid are not as thorough and straightforward as yours. I can tell you take a lot of pride in your work. Great music! Stay safe and be well.

I'm glad I finally found a carpenter who knows how to use wood glue! Every video on RU-vid the people glob the crap out of the glue making the sanding take 20+min. If you use the perfect amount there should be little to no drip.
@handy369
@handy369 Год назад
Thank you for your valuable comments. I am still researching to adjust the amount of glue properly. As you said, if you use a lot of glue, you will spend a lot of time sanding. However, if you use too little, the adhesive strength will be weak. Thanks for watching. happy new year.😁👍

Nice video! For anybody doing woodwork, it is better to use more glue than you might think you need. The most common type of joint failure is glue starvation, meaning not enough glue was applied. Clamping, screws, etc., take care of the excess glue. A wet rag can clean up the mess. As one improves, you can cut down on the amount of glue. In a joint, the edges do most of the work, so it is important to make sure that glue is spread throughout. I know there will be a keyboard warrior out there who will say, "Actually, the thinner the better because a one-molecule-thin layer of glue bonding wood to wood is theoretically the strongest." They would be right. But in woodwork, it is extremely difficult to get a perfect joint like that because of the nature of wood. A cut piece of wood will have surface height variations even if cut perfectly. When there is no squeeze out, you can't guarantee the entire joint was coated. Anyways, I digress. Use a good amount of glue and enjoy the craft, everyone!
