My brain will immediately forget a name in a matter of seconds or less. I hate my brain on those days. I will remember their story, but forget their name.
Same! I remember your face and our conversation when meeting new people but I just forget names 10 seconds later. Sometimes I will be honest about my brain fog and beg their name again. Or I will use my favorite name to call people when this happens, "Hey friend" 👋 not sure sure how people receive it but I only say it with enthusiasm like a friend I am glad to see.
This video was much needed for me! This is one of the hardest things I have to do on a Sunday. As a pastor, I know small talk is important, but it is very difficult. The hardest part for me is coming up with those follow up questions. I never know what to say!
Totally going to present this to my concierge team. Super relevant! In a world of social media, we often forget how to engage with people we have never met. Church is a very vulnerable place to be and anyway we can encourage people to return we ought to give it a shot! Thanks guys 🙌🏿☺️
This also needs to addressed. Members that ALWAYS give you a long-winded, one -sided sermon. I think we do them a diservice by not telling them that they talk way too much and too long. They dominate and take over the topic of discussion you may be having with someone else. Any suggestions?

Hey Jody - glad you enjoyed the video! Hope it helps your team make some great connections. :) As for RU-vid - two thoughts - 1.) know you're audience and ask them to like and subscribe and 2.) keep a consistent posting schedule.
Also when you're sitting and talking don't shake your legs. I think that signals you really don't wanna be there. And my vacuum actually did go put the other day. 😆
I got approached by church member ask me first question what do you do? I don’t think it’s a good conversation to start because if that person don’t hv job make that ppl feel uncomfortable after I told him what’s my job he ask me is ur job earn money ? WTF is that church member try to ask me if u earn money to give more money to the church . Is really not polite question to ask and he is film maker maybe want to show off or what 😂
