Just to let you all know, the forklifts we use in our wharehouse weighs around 4.5 tons. The lift truck that was in the video was at least 6 tons. Now this is heavy (Edit) 1 ton = 1000Kg/2000Lbs

One of the Québec tornados touched down maybe a two-minute drive from my place. Really did a number on some of the houses over there. Surreal, how some of these events can devastate one spot while leaving another spot just a few bus lengths away seemingly untouched.

When I was 7, me, my mom, and my 5 year old sister were driving home one day when a tornado alert went off. We were driving down a busy road, so the only thing that my mom could do was to pull into a parking lot and we all got into the front seat together. We rarely ever get severe weather where I live, so we didn't know what to do and it was terrifying. All of a sudden, a giant wave of grey wind surrounded us, and our car began to shake so violently that I was sure that we were going to be lifted away. I remember fully thinking that we were going to die. Luckily, we made it through the storm. Hands down the most terrifying moment of my life.

11:27 I was working at a RaceTrac gas station in Frisco, Texas when a storm blew through. One of the apartment buildings across the street from us got struck by lightning. It caught on fire and actually caused A LOT of damage. We had a few families come over and ask if they could hang out in the store for a little bit. Their apartments had burned from it and they were forced to wait and try to find someone to stay with. Of course it was raining so they didn’t want to be outside. A lot of them were families with kids. They all barely got out and most were still in pajamas. They didn’t have any other clothes because they were awoken and had to get out in a hurry. I had asked my manager if there was anything we could do to help them or make them more comfortable even if it’s just for a little bit. He said “Nope. They can stay in the store and wait for confirmation of shelter but that’s it. If they haven’t found somewhere to go with the next 2 hours we need to ask them to leave.” That shit DISGUSTED ME! I ended up telling them if they want any coffee or hot chocolate to go ahead and get but just let me know. Also if they were hungry they could get some stuff from the “roller grill” but again to just let me know. I opened a tab on the computer and afterwards asked my manager if we could write the stuff off........ OF COURSE he said “NO!” So I ended up paying for it myself. IT WAS NOT CHEAP EITHER! But honestly seeing them happy for even a few minutes after going through that was worth it to me. The total was literally more than I make in a week. But to see sleeping, tired and sad kids smile because they got hot chocolate......... it was beautiful! A few of the families found out about me paying for everything and came by to thank me and offer to pay me back. I told them it was fine that I didn’t mind. It was to the point where I had a LOT of loyal customers...... NOT LOYAL TO THE STORE OR COMPANY........ LOYAL TO ME! It got to the point where the days I wasn’t there were SLOW!

you are amazing!!! your manager should fee ashamed from their lack of kindness and empathy.. I can't imagine how expensive that could of been for just you to pay it all off but what you did was borderline heroic. You helped them feel cared for after experiencing such a traumatic event.. who knows how much those families lost.. lots of family have items in their homes that means loads to them because of memories or symbolic meanings for lost loved ones.. things that will never ever be replaced.. even the homes itself could of been a house that raised generations and holds lots and lots of meaningful memories.. truly heartbreaking... good job on you for showing those poor people some kindness and care!

Thank you for showing so much kindness to these families. My family and I lost our house in August this year and thankfully we received help from our neighbors. People do not realize how much of a shock it is. Your whole life is changed in the blink of an eye-or a lightning bolt in this case, and you lose most of if not all of your stuff to the fire. Thankfully firemen had arrived quickly, so we were able to salvage some stuff. It wasn’t a lot, but I’m still thankful we got to save some of it!

@@cicikittycat if i was a manager i wouldnt let some randoms take like 20% of the stock. thats like giving an intern a ceo's paycheck. i already know that they would take advantage of this and start taking some food and drinks without permission and quite possibly steal them. and the worst part, you are giving them that for FREE! gas stations need to make money to stay afloat. they arent walmarts. also going to a gas station for shelter is not really the best choice because you could be seen as loitering and get a fine for it. if you have to go to a gas station try to find a motel or airbnb as quickly as possible and get out. its not because they are bad people, its just business.

Gaylord, Michigan was the town hit by the tornado, killed 2 elders when their trailer home was picked up and flipped, the heart of Gaylord was hit bad, the Mall was badly destroyed, sign shredded, Hobby Lobby (made of Brick) back wall collapsed, sections of the roof ripped off, and now they aren't reopening due to the damage, and they are just tearing it down. 12:20 i experienced a tornado from this on dec 11, 2021. it was terrifying, and i was devistated that my own town was hit so hard, it broke my heart to see the residents of my hometown hurting as bad as they did. i gave myself to my community, literally. i went from minding my own business to putting myself out there as a full-blown search and rescue team in one body. hauling food and other shelter supplies on my back day and night as long as i could walk, going around the town helping search for people possibly lost in the debrees of memories and homes. I may not be proud of my hometown, and belong somewhere else at heart, but i sure as hell love and care about the city that raised me.

I live in Nova Scotia, and that day was the scariest experience of my life. No power for 2 weeks, many popular areas destroyed, hundreds of trees lifted up from the ground, and at least 100 mph winds with gusts over 135 mph. Thankfully it wasn't that strong and was only a category 2.I was living in an apartment, and my neighbor's roof came off, literally feet away from my roof and l was shaking after the storm realizing that just feet away from our apartment a roof ripped off the house. It's pretty scary since we barely have strong hurricanes like that. Usually we only have 1 weak hurricane each year with a couple windy, rainy days but Fiona was just a different breed. That year I think we even had 7 "Special Weather Statements" and 3 over 60 kph days.

He drove on interstate, He heard on the CB up ahead near rest stops and roads parallel and penderpectular to the interstate was fked up and such there was overturned trucks. and to drive with caution due to power lines being down. He drove closer to the so called rest stop he had to down gear and swerve at low speeds port and starboard due to all kinds of debris on interstate. darnest thing he ever seen was a tractor wheel lying in middle of road, tractor axle still attached to it. he pulled over at rest stop and rushed to help trapped people in the diner area thankfully everyone lived, they hid in freezer. comes out 14? people. travelers, diner workers. truck drivers. they just stood around, had a cig or two. joked that " shame that the tornado took the damn coffee machine" the skies were beautiful all morning and afternoon, then suddenly BAM black and green skies around 4pm? The Dorion was worse for my area that happened a few years back, in Cape Breton. Hurricane Fiona made our area lose power for 4-5 days, while Dorion a few years ago had us 3 weeks of no power, and lots of damage compared to Fiona. But towards Sydney area, Fiona actually affected and caused the most damaged there. I knew a cpl of people whose homes had no roofs afterwards and had severe damage. It was devastating, everybody was running on generators for 3 weeks straight because of no power. All I did during Fiona was stand on the step with a joint in the dark lol

It was so wide if filled the horizon and at first I thought I was just seeing a normal cloud. Storms at night are so much worse because you cannot see what is coming. Even now, so many homes are just now being rebuilt and the trees and the landscape of the area will never be the same. I thought the ice storm of 2009 did so much damage but this was far worse. I honestly love when they give the survival advice "dont panic" cause the thing is, the feeling of panic is actually caused by a certain excretion of hormones. And since you cant control how much of which hormones your producing at all, you wont have a choice but to feel panic. Most of our feelings thoughts and actions are HEAVILY manipulated and controlled by our hormones. I actually like to say that humans are addicted to their internal hormones. Just think. Pheromones. You dont realize they are there but you feel them. When you see someone and your heart jumps and you can smell them, that's hormones. All of it is hormones. The hormones coming off their skin into the air went into your body, reacted with hormones that you have inside you and made you feel what we call "love". I strongly recommend that people study their hormones and how they affect everything you do! Iv gained alot more control over my actions having this understanding.

Don't know why but when I was watching the clip with the earthquake and tsunami where the CCTV camera footage was in color & then went to black & white when the tsunami hit made me think of the part in Wizard of Oz when Dorothy steps outta her orherwise drab house into a very colorful Munchkin Land , but in total reverse. You know its really bad weather outside when Mother Nature gets so mad she turns life in color back into black & white. That poor family didnt stand a chance the water came so fast & deep. My heart goes out to everyone at the receiving end of these clips. ⚘

fun fact : that every day in Indonesia there can be 4-5 times earthquakes that are quite "feeling", this is caused by the earth's plates that are constantly moving and in Indonesia there are 3 encounters of the earth's plates crashing or rubbing against each other. This is what makes Indonesia always experience earthquakes every day. "On average, earthquakes in Indonesia occur 500 times in one month". said Daryono, as the Coordinator for the Indonesian Earthquake and Tsunami Mitigation.

I can’t believe u put Newfoundland on here! I live there in mount pearl NL and that hurricane ruined everything there especially to the people that live there. and I remember feeling worried. not to mention a week before the hurricane hit the other side of NL another hurricane came 1 week earlier right by to the fishing villages until the hurricane stoped and it went back south and then a couple days later on the NTV (that’s a NL news show) they announced that another storm is coming this time heading to PAB that u see in that vid there & u will not believe what happened there in person the storm surges flood a lot of houses & left a lot of damage behind & one time I heard on the news that two people fell in the water one person manage to get out but the other didn’t and left of not knowing where she but thankfully she survived. So yea and if anyone is reading my com first of I’m from Newfoundland, mount pearl and to people if ever to go visit a country that never went before then u should definitely go to NL it is nice out there, NL also has a jolly personality lots and lots of nice people out there that u would downright love and even get know about NL and there people like me!

The lightning travels down a tree by means of the sap, which is conductive. Problem is the discharge flash-boils the sap. The bark is blown off the tree. it is why you should not seek shelter under any tree if there is lightning around. You wouldn't stand next to a Claymore mine, would you?

Hurricane Ian was the worse thing I’ve ever been through, man that storm destroyed Southwest Florida and spawned tornadoes all the way to West Palm Beach… Insane. I remember sitting out in my screened patio and watching one of the neighbors patios being ripped off from their house and flying down the road. The wind was so loud and was blowing shit left and right down the road. I’ve never seen wind speeds so strong, giant trees came flying down, power poles came down, and roofs ripped right off our neighbors homes. We were without power for a week and half and internet and service for three weeks. In my town we still have debris and trash everywhere on the roads.

All I got was wind and rain lol cuz I live in North Carolina and where I live it’s regularly boring weather. It’s your usual stuff, sunny, sunny with a few clouds, mostly cloudy, overcast, rain, and occasionally, thunderstorms. What’s sad is that I have never lived to see a white Christmas. Why is because we only get snow in January-February, and even then we get very little. Where I live, we have quite literally ZERO NATURAL DISASTERS.
