So now we know the Gladiator was worn by all the watch industry insiders, to be like them and get a reaction, one must flex a reserve collection invicta with anETA movement. Invicta Finally getting the street cred they deserve
Indeed. But this comment is on RU-vid, a platform that envies and embraces shameless profiteering from bad taste, that you have to wonder if anyone in the world still has the good sense to know when to hold back, even just a little.
Out of a long list of hilarious video content, this is probably your best yet Andrew. The Invicta story at the end could be turned into a documentary. Thanks for cheering up an appropriately sunny Sunday morning!
I love the Leopard Daytona as Steven Tyler also owns one and I can’t think of a better watch for him to wear. He’s probably the only person who can pull it off. For that reason alone, I’m happy it exists.
Even if I’d got that kind of money to buy a Richard Mille. I wouldn’t. I can’t stand them. They all look like they came out of a breakfast cereal box, designed by a child.
Andrew, you've always made pleasing videos to watch, and this is no exception. With that many references to 1970s rock bands, you could easily become the next Jeremy Clarkson. Long live AMW and 70s rock music! ...and Jezza, of course.
To be fair to Romain Jerome, the metal used in the Titanic DNA were NOT from the ship, but were instead from the pieces that were leftover from building the hull in Belfast.
"...as thick as a Corgi in a winter jacket..." Andrew, here goes my broken record again, but damn you can take information and spin it with sharp yet hilarious commentary - making for a perfect Sunday morning kickstart. Thanks - again!
I think that Richard Mille watch was available at Spencer Gifts in my local mall in the 60's. Now I'm sad my mom wouldn't let me spend $5 of my paper route earnings on it!!!😢
To clarify, neither Thomas Andrews nor White Star Line claimed that the Titanic was unsinkable. Nor did the builder, Harland and Wolfe. A trashy newspaper (ie the RU-vid influencers of the day) claimed she was “practically unsinkable”. She was, however, likely the safest ship built to that time. She just had an accident that no one had imagined was likely.
9:46, The Blancpain is them trying to make a dive computer mechanical but also say hey it’s a 50 Phathoms. If there’s any watch company that’s so far removed from the community I think it’s blancpain.
Freakin awesome video as always bud!!! I loved the invicta story! How incredible to meet Dafour! What a legend. Man what I would do to go visit his workshop one day!
Oh man, I've been showing people that Invicta Gladiator for YEARS when I'm trying to show them an example of the ugliest watch on the market. It's actually funny how horrendous it looks. In fact, I believe it was Stevie Wonder who drew up the original design for them.
That Titanic watch should at least claim waterproof to ocean bottom depth, to then just slowly fill up with water the moment you take it to the swimming pool.
Not trying to sound like a snob. I'm amazed at all the watch buyers who buy Invictas, Hueblots and Ali Express watches and put them the different Facebook groups. They're either just plain ugly or pure crap.
I will never buy a Timex again after my son’s broke and it could not be fixed because the plastic part being replaced was worth more than the watch, so they just do not do it.
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from AMZWATCH
That Q has another, MUCH more serious flaw. You set the hands; then when you press the crown back in, the minute and RANDOMLY moves back or forward within a -1 to +1 minute range. Impossible and infuriating, which is why I *never* wear this watch. Even though I love the bracelet.
The Boldr "Radium Girls" watch must go on this list, rightly savaged by Jody in a recent video. Its horrifying tastelessness makes that Invicta seem reserved.
@14:33 … i was that kid. That was my first watch, with extremely little consideration, more so wanting validation from the other kids in my school. I bought it. Only to wear it for about 1 term, then never wear it (or see it) again. I think its sitting in my old box of legos
Vario make a lovely leather strap for the Q. Changed out my seconde/seconde batman & it's a game changer - lovely fit straight out of the box. Check it's the same lug width for the quartz as the auto
Jesus - Case size is 58mm and thickness is 19.8mm basically 20mm on that Invicta. It has a Ronda Z60 init - which is from what iv seen a $14-$25 movement. Swiss. I like the Ronda 3540 movement. My Guess Collection chrono has that movement and got it for like $300 bucks in Vegas 8 years ago. Still works and still love the design of it.
I dont think I've ever watched one of his videos where the sound doesnt match with the video. It just doesnt look/sound like its coming out of his mouth, its just a fraction off being synced in every video
That is why I use a shotgun mic on camera even if the actual audio is being recorded with something else, add a clicker to that to give a clear audio spike and synch is easy.
