Triple H was not punished for the curtain call by getting squashed by the ultimate warrior. The ultimate warrior match came a month before the curtain call ever happened
Bart Gunn would be a good example in a way. If you consider Dr. Death losing the Brawl for All a screw up because creative wanted him to win, then Bart was punished for winning it by being fed to Butterbean.
Fast forward and edge and Matt two separate wives away from Lita. If anything the one who got buried was her. I mean Matt did became a TNA world champion. Plus his broken gimmick got him so over
Judgement Day 2002, Rikishi pulled an un-arguaguebly greater feat than Sword on Chest guy. Rikishi won an essentially 1v3 against Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo, with their manager Rico as Rikishi's tag partner for the titles. Meanwhile, the other guy has P Dawg Heyman as his tag partner against the Hardyz. It is very curious booking all things considered. I'd love to see more examples like it that I may not know about.
WWE's issue with Matt is that he ran to the internet and aired all the drama that went down between him Lita, and Edge. I don't blame him and WWE firing him was overboard; but that was their real reason for firing him, that's an important detail
When the Muhammad Hassan character was taken off TV, WWE wanted to send him to developmental to be repackaged, but Marc Copani who played Hassan refused it.
8:19 yeah path on becoming 24/7 champion,im sorry but i never saw that guy as world championship material.... But i still wish they used him better ... He was good in TNA but still
Not only Angle came boosting his ego with the Though Enough crew but he also injured the first guy who tried. Only in wrestling is this kind of behavior consider the norm.
If the "downcycling had already begun" of Helmsley (Hog Pen Match, Warrior squash), then it wasn't ALL on the curtain call from months later; it was likely Vince getting out his frustrations on the low man on the Totem Pole for the Kliq; Shawn was his guy, and Razor and Diesel (the real ones, LOL) were still major names in the WWF BEFORE they left. They were already a headache backstage, so take it out on the guy who wasn't making him money ON-SCREEN...
HHH was originally supposed to win King of the Ring that year and they took that away as his punishment. I don't even know why they mentioned the other stuff and on the plus side, if that hadn't happened we may never have gotten Austin 3:16.
Matt did not get buried because of Edge and Lita.. it's because he went on social media and blew up about it without talking to WWE first. Puder screwed Puder.
And then Daniel Puder has to believe his own hype & say "i could take Guerrero, Holly & Benoit all at the same time if it was a legit fight" yeah keep telling yourself that kid
Drawing and merchandising power. He was the main guy at the time to keep eyes tuned to WWF instead of completely turning away to WCW. Don't forget this was the punishment that lead to Austin becoming KOTR instead of Hunter, so Austin wasn't a draw yet.
O'Haire got the shaft because Vince was mad Piper told the truth. Bischoff was a tool for treating Regal like that. I've heard it disputed that HHH was actually punished for the "Curtain Call." I can't locate it now, but someone listed how the dates don't actually line up, debunking it. Something like the losing streak started many months later. Let's also talk about the Ambrose & EC3 feud failing. So once again, Vince booked something contrary to what the fans wanted, and when it failed he blamed someone other than himself, the one who should have taken the blame. And Puder should have known better. Seriously. As for telling him "it was a work and that he was supposed to lose," if he didn't have enough brain power to already know that, he didn't need to be there.
Triple H was punished for the curtain call. Hunter was supposed to win that year's king of the ring, but it was taken from him and given to Stone Cold.
Wouldn't that be against Whatculture Wrestlings 'internal' policy of never speaking ill of AEW!? Because any competition to WWE is good for wrestling youtubers and AEW...
@@mikeattard3543Well for one, WWE told Angle not to pick Puder. But Angle got fired up and ignored what they told him. Puder also forgot the golden rule of wrestling is make your opponent look good. On top of that other guys hated him for being a mark for himself like bragging he’s in the main event of the Royal Rumble for being one of 30 participants in it.
@@dhenderson1810 yes because it a burial when a newbie gets defeated by a gold medalist. Also Puder didn’t even follow the rules Angle challenged him to a wrestling match not MMA. When Angle began dominating Puder, he put him in a Kimura instead
2:27 bet you wouldn't call that a dumb tweet if he showed his support for the other guy, but no God forbid someone show their support for the incorrect side
