I remember being so fired up for the Styles/Nakamura feud at Mania for about 10 minutes, before logic crept into my brain. “They’ll probably troll people and screw it up.” My inner voice was not wrong.

AJ v Shinsuke post-mania 34 can be summed up by two phrases: “He keeps hitting me in the dick!” + For God’s sake, AJ! Wear a cup!

I get why Vince felt the need to spice up feuds that have been done before but sometimes if it isn’t broken you don’t have to try and fix it.

y’all should’ve had john morrison/johnny mundo vs ricochet/prince puma. their wwe matches in 2021 were honestly amazing but their rivalry in lucha underground was an all time classic. their all night long match (iron man match that went the length of the show) is one of my favorite matches of all time.

Cody and Dustin in Aew was one of the best one offs and matches Aew has had. It felt so meaningful and told a great story. I wish it had a longer buildup but it delivered completely.

Them just completely forgetting Owens and zayn after THAT battleground match is baffling. Could’ve easily feuded for the universal in 2016 or 17

First off, El Generico has been in retirement since 2013. Don't confuse him with his adopted son, Sami Zayn. Anyways, few feuds outside of WWE were 100% better that can't be repeated/duplicated unless the promotion is competent to do so.

Nakamura's nut shots puts his kiss with Muta in perspective. If only we could get '96 Goldust to travel time and face Nakamura.

Actually Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn's WWE rivalry I would say is definitely on par with their indies one it's just a different match type that makes it different but that doesn't mean that Thier ROH rivalry was way better and I wouldn't say it lacks intensity at all -Chris Jericho vs Dean Ambrose at Extreme Rules 2016 is an underrated match imo

the thing is that everything the WWE does, from the promos to the in-ring stuff ALL goes at the same exact pace, it doesn't matter who's involved big, small, man, woman or in between, every single match goes at the same exact pace, nothing feels unique anymore, every promo feels like it's delivered the same way no matter who's cutting it, it feels like everything is 1 note and a bit unnatural in WWE, that's why people love Sami Zayn, when he talks it sounds different

I am glad, all things considered, that AJ Styles got a run in WWE -- and at the top of it, no less. But oof, from a quality standpoint, it has been, through no fault of his own, pretty darn frustrating at times.

WWE gave us the greatest match of all time in that Custody of Dominik Mysterio ladder match. Shit was hilarious. No other company could do that especially with Eddie & Rey 😭😭😭

Math and Jeff also fought on smackdown for the hardcore title against each other which was a crazy match during the attitude era.

Samoa Joe taunting Wendy was great, what are you talking about? Though it did get called out the next year when Kofi pointed out Joe's repeated tricks of a summer program attempting to sneak attack the WWE Champion wouldn't work, after it failed against Lesnar and AJ the last two years.

Even though Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn is one of the greatest feuds in WWE. I feel their Ring of Honor feud was better due to them laying out the blueprint and doing it first. The 2010s are something I can look back fondly and be proud to be a wrestling fan.

Man Shinsuke should've won the big one at Wrestlemania 34 also Styles said their match wasn't like their Wrestle Kingdom match because of too many high expectations -honestly Cody Rhodes vs Goldust at Wrestlemania could've been probably a better match than thier Fastlane one

Agreed that fumbling Flair/Hogan when it should have been the hottest, adding too much to many AJ storylines and a watered-down NWO as major missteps…two quibbles -Yes, the RoH storyline had a distinct ending and great matches…but I honestly love how Owens and Sami are like (sorry, just going for this Gargoyles reference and passing on the Batman/Joker comparison) Demona and MacBeth from Gargoyles, eternally linked, changing alliances, rivals and friends, but always this fated pair. And I feel like the Bloodline angle is leading to a grand reunion that should be amazing. -On WCW ‘98 doing things well…early 1998 WCW did many things well and may be the best definition of wrestling as a three ring circus. You had the cruiserweight division and Luchadores as in-ring spectacle WWF wasn’t matching, a hot hot midcard where you saw Goldberg and DDP explode and Benoit and Booker T and others really come in to form…and well the main event scene usually was the let down, but it didn’t become an abomination until the Warrior/Finger Poke of Doom combo really sunk it. But WCW 98 was real good, for most of it.

To be fair to Hogan/Flair, that stretch of house shows mentioned here indicated the fans were not all that keen on the two in a match. Kind of like when the fans cheered Jake for DDT'ing Hogan resulting in that feud not happening either.
