Then he went to TNA to be Tyrus. Now he's in NWA. Also working for fox news with a radio Show. Update: he's going into retirement This year sadly he will be missed.
i started watching wwe in 2006 and stopped in 2012, the reason i stopped is cuz i got hit with a reality check once i seen brodus clays entrance with disco, i knew we were heading towards kid friendly wwe, so i stopped before wm 28 even tho i was heavily addicted to wwe between those years and even bought both wm 26 and 27, and straight up stopped lololol i even gave away my wwe belts to my moms friends kid, and a lot of my favorite wrestlers weren’t in it anymore, jeff hardy leaving was a big one for me too, but i just started getting into it again a few weeks ago, figured id give it another go even tho we can’t get the attitude and ruthless years back
Tensai could have worked but they paid too much attention to crowd chants. If they kept going and made him compelling they would drop it like they did for husky.
I've noticed that most heel turns spontaneously happen. There are no planted seeds in the betrayal they just all of sudden feel the urge to "betray" their partner just like Eugene's heel turn.
Thinking back on it DiBiase had a perfect heel gimmick opportunity being his fathers son. What do people hate more than a cocky businessman? His son that didn’t have to do anything but take dads money. OR they could’ve really went a “Tommy Boy” route (though more comedy) he could be the dimwit son to the big businessman. Never understood why he was just basically a regular guy with money symbols on his tights and merch.
@@nehemiahpouncey3607 The thing about Ted is he had the look but he lack the charisma to make it work. He should had just wrestle in a business suit with a mouth piece to speak to the masses as everyone else was beneath him. He should had been caught trying to bribe wrestler into losing matches against him. (which is how his dad did it, but his dad did it in front of the ring with jobbers). since wwe lack jobber it should had been a backstage thing with hidden camera.
What they could have done with Eugene as a heel....is reveal that his "specialness" was a scam, a way to get sympathy from the crowd and special treatment.....that might have created a lot of heat for Nick Dinsmore....then he could've started his heel run under his name and show just how good he really is.
Vince just uses the writers to flex his prejudice and favors the people who exploit stereotypes it is ingrained in the business from a historical and negative world view perspective
Been watching your videos you made years ago and I just can’t stop man so addicting and every time I see a good video I see another so I just watch them both it’s so hard to stop 😂
If I'm not mistaken. Emmalina debuted on raw in Las Vegas. I was at that show. It was the same raw as the festival of friendship with Jericho and KO They need those tag titles back (Dibiase Posse)
@@grouchingtiger Shame she was 1 of many victims of Ronda burial of the SD women's division. She's got more talent in her accent than Ronda will ever have.
You forgot Brodus Clay as Juggernaut!! I was so hyped for this gimmick!! The promos, an then WWE pulled it!! One of the most awesome gimmicks that I thought would have been over and they canned it!!
You should do a list of tag teams/groups/ wrestlers and their managers that debut together but only one person sees longevity and the rest soon forget about or fired. Like Essa Rios & Lita.
As a life long fan I would like to say You could have used Stevie Richard when he had his quick run impersonating other wrestlers like dude love and Y2J, that gimmick lasted only moments
Enjoyed the video! Would agree the gimmick was absolutely awful but I have to say, having watched religiously during that period, Albert and Scotty 2 Hotty were still over / got strong reactions, they had a good stint with it as well, almost 6 months.
The funny thing is, Jeff Hardy had a great heel run in TNA. It was very entertaining. He pulled it off well. Lord Tensei could have been great but WWE and Fans fucked it up.
Thought Beaver Cleavage would be included. Not counting the videos leading up to, but he dropped that gimmick on the debut. Kerwin White is another I thought we'd see.
Eugene is weirdly enough one of those gimmicks that make you think: A shame it never worked out. Just like it's amazing to see gimmicks like Doink, Hurricane, Pretty Deadly, Golddust are gimmicks that shouldnt work but work so perfect.
DAMN THEY DROPPED THE BALL with Ted DiBiase Jr. Bro was suppose to the next guy up I know nowadays his name has been kinda tarnished but he definitely had potential I mean legacy was a really good faction tbh there theme was good too he was gifted the million dollar championship which is a dope belt yeah what could of been at least cody is shining rn once he beats roman and captures that title it comes full circle
Fun fact: René Dupree was only 19 when he signed with WWE, making him probably the youngest signing ever up to that point. Equally odd is that after moving to "SmackDown" he did an (admittedly platonic) angle with Torrie Wilson - a woman eight years his senior.
There was one interesting story of the Big Show's time impersonating other wrestlers: When Vince McMahon told him that he'd next be the Showfather, and would have to kiss one of his "hos", Show said he'd do it if Vince could clear it with Show's wife. Vince's solution: That's Show's wife as the "ho" he's kissing.
Bloom could be on this list twice since he came back as LORD TENSAI, which was interesting until the exact moment he took off his mask and everyone realized it was Albert
I soooooooo wish that they gave Brodus Clay, that the WWE creative team had stuck with his “mastodon of mayhem” gimmick, but they dropped it at the last minute after weeks of vignettes and we got the Funkasqaurus
Big show's gimmick could have worked if he only impersonated wrestlers on ppvs also the wrestlers could have been related to wrestlers he was fueding with
Calling Brodus Clay average is a huge overstatement he had little to no in-ring experience to the point of embarrassment for Tyrus, and his talent is laughable at best, but that didn't stop Billy Corgan from booking him to capture the Ten Pounds of Gold
