10 x12 Shop Paint, Gutter, and Cedar Shakes

Its now time to paint the 10x12 shed. Exterior caulking is applied along all the windows and trim. Gray paint is used on the walls and white is used for the trim. After that is done I install a gutter on the back of the workshop and lastly I get the cedar shakes installed. This gets the building looking nice and finished.

Thank you. Yes it is rather nice. That has a lot of do with the budget of my friend. (and improved skills from trying over the years)

I was totally on board with adjustments and it will never be perfect (you will never see a great carpenter’s mistakes… and they make plenty). But DAP on the external side of any building? DAP is a good (and that is about it) product for internal caulking, but external… this was your biggest mistake on the whole project! DAP when exposed to UV rays turns rock solid after In 8 months… after 12 months your customer will be calling you saying, “All of the caulking is cracking. I need you to fix if.” Great video all around, but the DAP just made me have to write something.

Thanks for the feedback! All the caulking was painted so I hope that it has better than 1 year life. What is better? Lexel?
