Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Much better with me and my grandpa. I learned some basic signals when operating a tractor with a bucket loader, or moving stuff around. A lot of times he would just frantically wave his hands, give up, come into the tractor and yell at me (I have hearing loss and a tractor isn't necessarily the easiest place to hear; he's cool though). I was 16 at the time. Although, to be fair, I did get the hang of it eventually!

I was about the same age when my uncle turned me loose with sickle bar mower on a Ford N8 (or something like it) and moving round bales into rows for a week in a big Deere with a cab, A/C and a radio and using the 3 point hitch bale fork. I was the happiest kid on earth. Your channel takes me back there for all the great memories AND more of how it works with way better angles than a kid can get from the cab. Super fun stuff.

You can be very proud of your son. 64 years ago I was driving one of those red tractors, a Farmall H. My brother at 12 years old drove the M. , I was 8, at the time. My father did not like the hand clutch on the Green Machines. We had a dairy farm and it was my job to clean the barn after milking. Took the manure out every night. Rain or shine, snow or hail it was very dark and cold. No cabs open air with a light bar with bug eye lights. Oh, always drove into the wind, never wanted to get hit by manure in the back of the head. Keep it between the rows. Love your shows. Dave
