I used to not really care for Slash. Until I saw a video of him chatting about skateboarding with a young kid. I am not into skateboarding but Slash was really down to Earth and a great person.
Okay not to detract from this kid's talent or the band's generosity, but this wasn't totally impromptu. I went to check out his channel. That is Jake's guitar they handed him. STILL one hell of a performance, kid's good, and I still think Slash would be impressed.
Too often vids of "super kids" like this are over-sold - But Jake, nah man, you belong and you nailed it. And the band.. awesome job supporting, queueing and making him shine in the moment. Well done by all.
father or mother ^^ i love rock music, hard rock or classical or so many musics... and my kid's father likes only horrible old and very bad french songs .... so maybe Jake has a mother with amazing taste in music ;)
There IS hope for the young generation to carry on Rock into the future. NO auto tuning there! These so called STARS of today's music should sit up and take notice...THAT is how it is done.....Showed this to my six year old grandson and he became SO inspired. He wants a guitar for his B Day........Thanks Jake for this awesome inspiration!!!
School was never the same for Jake after that Saturday; girls in the hallways seemed to view him... differently... the lunchroom bullies avoided him now. Life was better... much better, for Jake... Rock on, dude... KDM
Anybody know Jeff??? I've been looking for a new home for my 1959 Gibson hollow body magic guitar. Some instruments are imbued with seemingly magical qualities and this old guitar is one of them. The neck was supposedly broken in a bar fight on around 1960 in Memphis. Some craftsman, on a budget, grafted the neck off of a Gibson SOLID body guitar on to this guitar. Not necessarily pretty but has held for over 60? years. I've protected some of the most famous and talented musicians and several played the guitar and all wanted to buy it but wasn't for sale. I've had it since 1972. I cannot do it justice. My time is winding down at 70 and 6 time cancer survivor but trauma and 36 surgeries have been tougher on me. Much of it to my wrist and fingers. So unless already has his perfect guitar it's possible he might make my list of potential new owner. At no cost to his parents. Maybe. rick in Tennessee. Just reply to this or my other comment. rick in Tennessee. Down close to Chattanooga.
WOW , incredible! This kids future just changed for the better and he and his friends and family will remember this for the rest of their lives! Rock on Jake 👍👏👏👏👏👏!
The scepsis..yeah right, a 10 year old boy that plays the guitar that turns into a amazement. Great to see that this young boy nails it in every way :)
I love how the kids are jumping in exitement. The bodylanguage, the chemistry of the band working togethether with this Slash in a kid-suit! Mindblowing beyond words!
This kid was born with music in his blood. He has a bright future ahead.... Amazing! I will share this video here in Portugal and I hope it "travels" across the rest of Europe!
my wife is not a '60's rocker like I am but she loved this little guy's performance and she loved the quick pic of him at the end....he really looked 10 yrs old if not younger!
