when things like this happen there should be NO COST to the victim,our government gives OUR money away to other countries they should take care of Americans.
Texas has a crime victims compensation program, specifically designed to cover medical bills and other expenses for victims of violent crimes. Not just mass shooting victims, but all violent crimes. Its partially funded by restitution paid by the offenders, and also funded with taxes revenue.
We can do better to protect the children. Lexan Windows First floor, locked Bullet Proof Doors to class rooms, Chain link Fences, and seat belts in buses instead of Democrat Spending on Stupid crap they spend money on in their Home district called "PORK Barrell" You the Voters can Demand it, and outlaw all those big Bullet Clips for Rifles and Pistols. Make full Auto Rifles against the Law. Enough already!

She will have nightmares, panic attacks, flashbacks, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts and it will NEVER go away. I'm just so heartbroken knowing those kids waited in that school For more than hour bleeding and dying and the police did nothing. And they were right in the building

It is sad that Americans are so unaware of how the rest of the world is living. Most people in our world have zero healthcare available at any price. These children will receive the proper care because this is America. Remember how Americans just sent 400 Billion dollars to help Ukraine? That was US taxpayer money. I am so glad she is recovering. I do wonder about the shooters mother and his grandfather. They too have suffered loss of the grandma of the shooter, as well as having to deal with the evil their son and grandson left them to deal with at his evil behavior. My heart aches for all of them who have been affected by this. 💔🙏😭
The mother says he's a quiet boy that never hurt anyone, she didn't look upset to me, but people grieve differently. One if his classmates said the shooter hurts animals and picked fights with people

Whoever made the call for the officers to stand down for 47 mins while kids were being shot to death should be paying every single hospital bill. Every single one. That mans got blood on his hands. Who props a door open while theres some unknown shit going down outside.. she called 911 cause the accident and the shots at the funeral home... why would she then leave a door propped open where theres kids ?! The most important question is how many children died from the moment they should have engaged the active shooter and when the swat team engaged and killed the active shooter. This is very important because it seems had they followed the active shooter protocol and immediately moved to quickly engage the shooter they might have been able to completely prevent this tragedy. Remember according to DPS time line police units arrived at the funeral home next to the school before the shooter had entered the school and further more a school police officer had just arrived in his patrol car and was actively searching for the shooter in the parking lot. While all this was happening again according to DPS time line the active shooter was outside the school shooting the windows out of class rooms. All these law enforcement plus most likely additional law enforcement personnel in the immediate vicinity had to have heard shots being fired in or around a school full of children. Each and every law enforcement officer near or on school property who heard the shots fired or were alerted that an active shooter was present at the school should have moved to actively engage and neutralize the active shooter immediately! This is suppose to be the protocol all law enforcement agencies should follow since the Columbine Massacre. I firmly believe this tragedy could have been prevented had just one police officer present before or right after the shooter had entered the school had followed the rules of engagement regarding an active shooter in a school. In my opinion those present who could have prevented this tragedy are guilty of dereliction of duty at the very least if not more serious offences.
Yeah they said the local police was out there for 19min+ on the scene, and don't mind me but it was BORTAC (border patrol unit) that ultimately killed the dude. Which means it took the FED'S who would came later to kill the guy while the locals were dilly dallying I wasn't a real big fan of cops but this is really bad. I remember the saying if your seconds away from dying, cops while be minutes away just awful.
It's amazing how something so tragic can show how great this country is. There are so many stories of people donating their skills, money, and shoulders to cry on. From what I see, we can get past this and get stronger as a country.

I read online that 7-9 children who were in the first 2 affected classrooms( rooms 111 and 112) had survived but another teacher and some children were injured in the other classrooms where he initially shot through the windows. Based off what I read, after he crashed in the ditch and fired upon 2 funeral home workers across the street, he walked outside of the school shooting at classrooms windows before gaining entry into the school. Initial reports online mentioned 17 ppl had been transferred to the hospital with an additional 3 or 4 transferred to a San Antonio hospital, including his 66 yr old grandma who he shot in the face .

It is time to stop producing AR15 type rifles or limit them to 7 round Clips. It is time to outlaw 15, 50, or 100 round clips for these Military looking Rifles being sold to Civilians in all of the u. S. Also make them same length as regular Hunting Rifles with 7 round Clips. Outlaw those Big Clips for Civilians. Same with Semi Auto Pistols, outlaw the Big Clips for them. How about changing the Schools, all in one building and no open campuses for Elementry schools, and Lexan Windows on all first Floor Class Rooms. Next, all School Buses must have seat Belts in case of roll overs to protect our Children. With locked Bullet Proof doors to all Class rooms, with completely chain link around the entire school except for one gate. Last, metal detectors with inspectors at the entry gates of the school. You can go to the Office, but not beyond to the class rooms. Sure it costs money, but it is time to save our school children rather than stupid Democrat Spending.
