GCERF was launched on September 9, 2014 as the first multilateral pooled fund to support local, community-level initiatives working to build resilience against violent extremism around the world. Today, a decade later and with more than US$ 95 million invested, the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund remains the only global grant-making organization providing core funding to organizations in fragile and conflict-affected states and others where the risk of violent extremism is highest.
To mark our first ten years, GCERF is proud to share ten of the unique insights gained over the past decade, and we congratulate more than 360 grantee partners around the world, working to make their communities and societies safer and more peaceful.
