100% Completion in Payday 2 is a Nightmare... 

True story: One summer, after myself having played the game on and off with various friends over the years (Oddly, Payday 2 is responsible for many long lasting friendships), I managed to convince a more recent friend to venture into 100%ing the game with me, since it had stopped development about a year prior. In October of that year, At Infamy Level 22, having just done the difficult (At least in a public lobby) achievement of "Tag You're it!", we were 3 achievements away, we just had to hit Infamy 25... A week later, development was resurrected from the dead, a new DLC released in less than a month, and now I'm 169 achievements away. I am a completionist. This game has been my Living Hell for a decade.

Is it bad that I’ve got more than twice the amount of kills required for robbedacop but still no infamy 100 🤔

1:03 If I had a dollar everytime I hear a Fallout New Vegas fan confessing that they have never won a SINGLE round of caravan during the hundreds of hours they sunk into the game, the next multi-day heist added into the game would be about breaking into my safety deposit box SPECIFICALLY

As someone who completed Tabula Rasa many times helping friends, in original 2015 times and as late as 2020, that achievement was truly brutal when first introduced, but with modern powercreeped perk decks it was disappointingly easy, we did it first try without many downs among our team, and two of us were new players. It was really sad for me personally, I used to love the challenge and the feeling after beating it.

To this day, the only things I don’t have are as follows: - The 3 Completely Overkill Safe Legendary skins in mint condition (I’m still under the impression that Green Grin was the only one ever unboxed but I have never seen it on the marketplace) - Infamy 500 (I’m at 100-100. You would have to pay me to go to 500) - Robbedacop (I’m only halfway or 3/4 of the way there despite 95% of the time having the most kills averaging 200-300 kills per heist)

This video couldve been condensed in 1 of these few missions: DSOD Henrys (C)Rock DSOD Lab Rats DSOD Goat Sim DSOD Safehouse Nightmare as someone who did all of them legit on DSOD at some point i never ever wish to redo that. The rest is just grind grind grind and have friends.

As someone who has been on the grind for re-achieving (had it back before they started adding more achievements) all 1327 achievements for the last few years, it's been a hell of a slog, especially some of the coop ones. Sitting at 1185 at the moment, hoping to get there before Payday 3 comes out!

As someone who stopped Payday 2 achievements at about 980 of 1327 and 789 hours of gameplay, ive never played something so brutally time and skill dependant

For that 100% you mean, you need a lifetime of non-stop payday or just use a cheat engine

I got 100% Just after the release of the Secret. It felt awesome I must say, a perfect ending to a saga which I would never forget... 'Till OVK decided to keep updating the game and adding achievements... Since then I never bothered about completion in this game

I remember watching one Blaul Part complete every single Payday 2 achievement (at the time), reaching the rare and coveted 100% completion. The most heartbreaking moments were when the new heists were added and he had to wait a millennia for the hidden achievements to be revealed.

i respect the grind! it's worth noting about the card drops that i never, -never- got the surgeon sight until last week or so. i have 2600 hours in the game.

I have genuinely tried to reach the 100% in this game, but it's not as feasible as a mainly solo player. Not only are some achievements still missing for me even though I have owned that DLC since release due to that, it is also just harder to properly grind or do some of the loud missions on the high difficulties. 100% completing Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring and Nioh have been childs play compared to this game. But that might partially be that they are not pooping out constant rebalancing and powercreep DLC like Payday 2 lmao

heck even just the one achievement "payday the secret" is a lot of work to get to, 100% sounds like a nightmare

One thing i hope for pd3 is that theyll change the co-op related achievements. I get why they exist but if theyre gonna make such specific achievements only doable with 4 heisters, at least let us do it with ai so that we dont have to drag our friends and or randoms to do an achievement.

fun fact, if you get the Humble Bundle version of the Payday 2 Legacy Collection for Steam, it comes with Scarface. I know this because about a month ago, I gifted a friend this edition (he never had the game prior), and he also got the Scarface Character pack within that pack

I hope payday 3 gets this much depth in its content. I dont expect it to all be there at launch, but I hope they stick with payday 3 for as long as they have with 2

As a guy that solo'ed every heist on DSOD (yes even goat simulator with Only AI and lab rats) i would say that everything that i've did was definitely worth it 100% It was definitely fun (atleast for me) to grind to infamy 100 and do every other achievement in the game (as much as i could do as solo), i have 1311/1327 achievements in the game and thats because they're adding a new pack of achievements (again) and also i have 3 left achievements relating from killing 100 enemies with poison grenades, and achievements locked behind a paywall because of course they had to add achievements relating to the Hailstorm and VD-12 and forces me to buy the whole weapon pack just for these, i've held myself with the purchase but i really dislike these types of achievements. Im pretty fine with them adding new achievements but atleast they could add it in a way that doesnt force you to buy a DLC that you won't ever make use of, which kinda annoys me. I have 1477,1 hours in the game btw.

My parents bought FNV for me back in 2010. From the early days of vanilla, waiting for DLCs, Alchestbreach at a box factory, and so much more, I also, have still never won a game of Caravan.

To get in Payday 2 100% basically, you need to pay all of the DLC otherwise use DLC unlocker which somehow marks the player as a cheater while other cheats like god mode, carry stacker and silent Assassin won't mark them Truly a game that runs with a "DLC powered engine" indeed

I just started replaying Payday 2 around mid last month, and now I'm went from lvl 60 infamy 0 to lvl 70 infamy 3.. This game and the achivements and challenges is what making me enjoy the game more and more Out of curiousity, what mod are you using for this video? I only have like 2-3 mods and those are just visual and custom hud

The hardest achievements are the ones that require either a great team or friends.

would love to see someone do this as a speedrun (of course with breaks lol). I'd imagine it would be at LEAST 300-400 hours. (nvm I just watched the video full way through lol. Probably 3000-4000 hours. Though I wonder how much boosting could come into play, if you were to have a ton of 3 man crews grinding heists and you join them all last second. You could complete all heists DSOD in maybe as little as an hours if you had enough people

i got stunned a little bit when you mentioned the binding of isaac i didnt know that you knew of that game

Graze or regular sniper collats on shacklethrone outside by the helicopter escape is a great farming spot for kills. It turns endless if you do it right by triggering loud before completing certain main tasks. You can stealth up to hacking the computer or just rush and get the keycard and go loud right away. Set your bots to stay in the halls behind you to stop the guys that come up where the ladder spawns and inside, and one inside looking down the hall to clear out inside spawns to free up more spawns for you. You can try putting a bot in one of the loot rooms but they end up shooting the ones that you're trying to kill. And as always give one of your bots inspire.

I hope it isn't as expensive (just lucrative for Overkill so they can afford more iteration or additions), but I am certainly looking forward to Payday 3. I've easily enjoyed Payday 2, that it is in my Top 5 games, Top 3 multiplayer games, and top mindless grind game (Use to be WoW when I played that.) I am 100% looking forward to your Payday 3 content as watching your videos helped me with struggles in Payday 2!

I remember being in a 4 stack, doing 1 misssion, getting max infamy, resetting, and then rinse and repeat. Was a glitch or something to do with the difficulty/rating where you spend continental coins i think, to make the challenge 99999999 times higher

I don't recall what the achievement was called but I remember it took me a year to find people on PS3 to get the achievement for securing all the cash on the last day of Rats without defusing a bomb on the bus (I think it was short fuse), had to use forums and everything. That was nothing compared to The Sounds of Animals Fighting when the crimewave edition came to PS4. I used reddit and forums and it still took 4 years to get people together to do it. As a trophy/achievement hunter on console, I dread co-op trophies the most out of anything because sometimes, the game isn't popular enough (sometimes even just on console in this case) and my timezone is a huge issue when it comes to organising a time, +10/11 gmt basically means when I'm awake the other people are asleep and vice versa. Not to mention the lag.

god, the end was a fucking pain in the ass. in a group of ~10 people, i was tasked with figuring out the riddles for the secret. it's obviously easier to do with the knowledge and tools at our disposal today.. but to do it in 5 batches (myself and a friend stayed in every lobby to make sure that everything went smoothly), while helping every one of them grind their requirements as well.. i swear, i was fluent in figuring out which riddles were presented by the end, and knew all the answers. never touching the secret again. never. i've done it 6 times. that's enough.

Once you learn caravan in New Vegas, is just free caps.

I tried like mad to get all DSOD back when the secret was being teased, at the time i was only missing a few missions... Suffice to say, the secret was released and beaten before i even had them all. Realized i didn't have any friends willing to go through the shit you have to for the secret anyway, and gave up trying. I did get the DSOD mask... but that was back before alot of missions were added, which meant i didn't have all the missions done anymore. I hope they learned from how hated certain missions are. I want to love payday 3 but if there's another "wide open field with no cover: the mission" that requires you to beat it on it's hardest difficulty it just might not be worth it.

I've never won a game of caravan in FNV either... until I found out you can move between your 3 card stacks! The rules then actually made sense to me so I was able to consistently win, even against the best NPCs.

I have done EVERYTHING (Archievements, Trophies) except Robbedacop ... Just get few nice friends that are ready to do insane jobs with you. (Worst heists with DSOD was Green Bridge, Bomb Forest Lab rats and Goat Simulator). Now (with my friend) we just get fast levels (to roll infamy, we don't collect pink line), or we look for new players to help to start playing payday. (Giving few startup tips like difference between fak and medpak) Always ready to serve nice people of community.

I like how Overkill made a VR headset and failed. Made a TWD game and failed. And went straight back to Payday 2 dlc.

For some reason I miss the grinder perk deck being op.

Caravan is actually easy once you figure it out. The goal is to get 21-26 points on your 3 pillars. You can use Jacks to remove cards from a pillar, kings to add the same value of the card it’s placed to increase the value of your or the npcs pillar to force them to restart. Or queens which are entirely useless never use them.

I’ve only managed two or three perfect framing frames and have played on and off since launch when that was basically impossible. The reason is entirely that I’ve only played on console. Some of these things, even if you can find a team, are just not realistic to complete. Which is fine because the game is only updated every three millennia.

I actually learned how to play caravan, just carry 6 7 and 8 cards, kinga multiply one cards value, queens make it so you can put down a lower number than a bigger one... jacks and jokers still confuse me though i think jacks delete a car and jokers an entire number

Tbh I miss games that had a challenging grind to them especially in game challenges. Back when I used to play the OG CoDs that’s all I did was grind there challengers that kept me playing the games. It feels like games these days are more focused on giving players daily weekly and monthly challenges to grind for a pass, usually they just give XP or a really dull reward. I just miss having a big challenge list to grind without being on a time limit.

Even if I had the skill and patience to complete this, I actually cannot. Despite playing PD2 for years and way before they overhauled the safehouse, I SOMEHOW never got the achievement for opening the old one for the first time. Y'know, the one for placing a stack of bills on the scales.
