Voxels could be absulutely gorgeous. There was a developer who were making a voxel based engine with real life physics it looked so beautiful that when he tried to go for smaller voxels we adamantly opposed. John lin is the name there are youtube videos about it. It is a shame he disappeared years ago.
ngl, I'm here primarily for your soothing voice. I don't really care how terrible of a factory you make, as long as you narrate it in your trademark calming way
I like "future" building and mining games but I wonder if anyone will have guts to make historically accurate mining game that take place in 1800-1920 where lots of miners are kids, and call it minor-miner :D
I was using 4 research facilities in early game already, it seemed like you don't need more than 3-4 assemblers to saturate them because the science packs are consumed slowly. But anyway research speed increases linearly as you increase the building, just like labs in Factorio.
2:27:44 this is starting to remind me of a better "FORTRESSCRAFT: Evolved" a 2015 game that kinda stopped updating around 2019, but without the enemys constantly attacking you.
2:39:00 usually at this point with any speed construction, you get to the point you have you larger machines, and second tier belts, and you wipe out the entire factory. Then you re-place all the things you need, in the order you need them, some people work backwards some people work from ores, some people use modular designs. The method i use (especially in satisfactory) is assigning different areas to JUST construct that material. With vertical buildings it can have multiple floors dedicated to outputting to a main bus one material/product. Each level having balanced ratios, but each level is its own factory. Then leading them out, i'll combine them closer to the main bus, for upgrade sake. But i also like it modular, having a cluster of buildings, each filled with the machines for each step of the process, so that i dont have belts going every which way. Then if i can, i'll feed the entire output to a storage facility near my main hub, creating a sort of IKEA warehouse of items for me to pick from. Storage is usually a third of the feed out of the main bus. So if you think of a material factory as its own seperate circuit board, then you copy paste it ontop of its self, it simplifies the input outputs. You then have a "stack" of [insert resource item] producers.
I've played this game for hours but just started watching his and realized Carl the robot sounds a lot a lot like Code Bullet I mean maybe not but I feel like he does
2:21:30 i know the feeling, its very.. difficult? to translate the 2D layouts into 3D especially if the inputs are all on the same levels. Satisfactory helped with the vertical conveyors, instead of needing to think of spiraling paths you could just make vertical busses.
2:25:20 lol that point in factory building where you need to break it all down and REBUILD with the new tech and more effeciently including the new machines.
I love the fact that you listened to your inner demons and commented multiple times at various points throughout the VOD. I also feel the urge to do that, but I'm too afraid 🤣
My 5 month old daughter loves your voice, she can be mid cry hear your splendiferous audio and be completely enthralled. She then looks truly offended if I turn you off. Thanks AA
how can you spend 100 days in game and show us what happens without a soyface thumbnail I SPENT 100 DAYS IN FOUNDARY HERES WHAT HAPPENED >> sockpuppet frog :O
Xeno. Like purge the xeno scum for the emperor. And ferite is iron. Latin. Like magnetic metals are also called Faris metals. Iron is fe or fr. On the periodic table. Due to being called ferrite. Also can't spell. Haha. Owell your not being stupid dude keep up the good work
Was really excited until I saw that this was Paradox. Will pass on a game that is either abandoned or that charges $300 to add basic features over 8 years before reskinning the game and doing it again. Thanks but no thanks. Love AA though, of course.
My dear, dear, AA. There's no such thing as a "British accent". Britain contains 3 different countries all with their own languages, let alone accents and regional dialects. Come now; you're a cultured fellow, you should know this. ☺️
