one time, my friend brought up cheating in relationships. she has a boyfriend and so do like all of my other friends lol. i made a comment about how if i found out that any of my friend’s boyfriends were cheating, i would spill it to them immediately. then i said, OR if my friends were cheating, i’d rat it out to their boyfriends. she agreed with me on the “telling my friends” part but got really weird and quiet about the part on “telling their boyfriends”. that 100% rubbed me the wrong way. she just kind of grumbled and moved on. anyways, turns out she watched one of her best friends cheat on her boyfriend, never said anything about it to the BF, let it play out, and it ended in an absolute disaster for their relationship later on. not going into full detail because it was a tragedy and i don’t want to share too much info… but a funeral was held. it was terrible. a good friend makes their friends take accountability, they don’t let this stuff slide under the rug. in any case, i’m not going to be a bystander in watching someone cheat. ever.
