A better smoother way to zoom in and out is holding Option or Alt + the Scroll Wheel, i find it faster for my workflow. Shift + Scroll Wheel is another good one too to scroll horizontally
@@AikidoNotion I don't know if he mentioned this but an even better/faster way to zoom in and out is to activate the AZ button and just hit "R" and "T" on the keyboard to zoom in and out... That's the best way to do it

I made a list of every one of the shortcuts. I have used a lot of them over the last 12 years and forgot a bunch of them them over the last 12 years. Been using PT for years and had no idea it could do that - drove me crazy! I can lock in Final Cut, and in Photoshop but why not in ProTools I always wondered ? Wow thank you for that! Dope... I have to save this bookmark... a great reference. I've been wanting a sort of straight shot layout and the pace is good for you to follow while you demonstrate. I personally hate the mouse and find you have to look for it for your hand and then look for the cursor on screen then with a crosshair tight focus, you gotta grab, drag and >>click
Thanks bud, although for laptop users you can also nudge with the comma and period under yellow active keyboard focus. Also to change the behaviour of the function keys F1 through F10 for your different edit and tool modes on a mac im pretty sure you can go to apple system settings and keyboard shortcuts to make them function as standard function keys.
Something I use a lot is Ctrl+Drag a clip (or Cmd on a Mac) left and right. That basically ignores the selected edit mode (e.g. Grid) and moves the clip as in Slip mode.
