It is only fitting that for our 100th Shiny in Pokemon Sword and Shield we track down a Shiny Grubbin and evolve it into Shiny Vikavolt! I really think Shiny Vikavolt is one of the best Shiny Pokemon ever and its definitely a favorite of mine.

I literally hatched one this morning on my second egg. I was passing 0 speed IV down to a grubbin and got it. Its only perfect IV was speed, its quiet, and it's in a friend ball.

Awesome! I feel the need to share my Shiny Vikavolt story. When I was casually playing through Sun my first time, I was just wandering through the region, when I get a wild encounter, and it was my first time seeing Grubbin. At first I was like, “Oh, new Pokémon”. Then I immediately found out Grubbin’s NOT supposed to be this color normally, and boy did he look badass red! He was my first ever legitimate shiny encounter that’s not the Red Gyarados! I loved him, made him a major member of my team (because come on, shiny), and now he is currently still in Sun, but I need to bring him to Pokémon Home. Time to see if Pokémon Bank still works…

I remember on Christmas Eve I was breeding Grubbins in Friend Balls to trade for Christmas (5 IV parents with D Knot). I hatched a shiny and he made me so happy, and you reminded me of that feeling when you hatched it.

Glad you got your fave shiny, Dan! I’m currently hunting for a chlorophyll Bulbasaur (I really hope I don’t miss the HA...), I transferee 2 competitive shiny venusaur a from OrAs but apparently we can’t use them online :’( currently at 7,090 eggs and nothing! My competitive Veen from OrAs took 13,000+ eggs so hopefully I don’t hit that again :’)

I said “Another shiny Grubbin” before in countering one in Pokémon Go thinking it was funny since I was hunting for a shiny Chimchar for 5 days and it ended up being shiny. I already had a shiny Vikavolt

Andrew Leyton it evolves in magnetic field in sun and moon or ultra sun or moon but in sword and shield it evolves with a thunderstone

Benton Marshall I’m doing re’s and no shiny charm. I refuse to continue the game until I get this shiny lol. All the grinding has me at level 60 after the 4th gym though so I can just sweep and 1 shot everything.

Uru Noobinho replace 5 mons with 5 eggs at once. Don’t replace them as they hatch in the beginning, instead wait until all of them have hatched and them replace them. You need to always have atleast 5 eggs in the pc by the time your eggs hatch.

Hey man quick question. I bought my ditto off eBay 6iv Japanese shiny . Breeding through eggs on count 945. Could the ditto be hacked? If so will that affect me getting a shiny as it doesn’t seem to want to come lol

You should still be getting the Masuda method boost and passing down good IVs on top of that.
