Speak for yourself when you say that. Because it'll depend on the person and where they live. If you live in a big city, have a job then you can use it however you want and just drop in to the Apple store to get your battery replaced. However if you're a student or live in a remote part of the world then you'll want to take better care of your battery. So it depends on the person.
Nah. I usually charge it at the lowest percentage. And don’t over charge it which killed the battery which degraded several months. It’s safe to use it while charging.
Another tip, buy many iPhones then use simultaneously so you can keep them at 100% capacity. JUST Kidding aaron, I've been doing your battery tips for years and you never disappoint.
I’ve had my iPhone 11 for about 6 months and I’m at 100% capacity. Check out my iPhone battery playlist because I’ve used the tips from all of those videos and my battery life is awesome!! None of the videos are mine, I just collected my favorite videos. I also do charge my iPhone overnight every night but only if my iPhone battery is below 60-65%. If it’s above 65% I don’t always charge it overnight, I just wait til morning and charge it randomly because I don’t like leaving it on the charger. Hope that helps!!
I'm using an Iphone 7 for almost 5 years now (every day) and the battery life is 82%. Charging it with the original charger , always at night - all night. During the day I only charge it when it's getting under 10-15 % which is most of the time in the evening. After 3 years no more software updates for my phone to keep it fast and smooth. That's how I do it, works pretty good.
BatMun just switched from 6s to 7plus I can still play games like cod mobile on very high graphics without lags. I always had an iphone that was like 3 years old beacuse they‘re still very good.
There is no way, the entire time I’ve had my phone for a year now and my phone has only fully died maybe 35 times and my battery is at 84% maximum capacity
I used my 2015 6S Plus from new and charged it overnight, every night from then. Of course it was charged anytime it needed it thereafter. That phone is on 81% health according to iOS 12. So approx 6.33% loss per year. BUT, under heavy use when we were in NYC (videos, photos, maps, uploading to Facebook a lot) it did shut down once and only once in 3 years of use. I think that’s good. My XS Max will be treated the same way. Ultimately we can get new batteries so it really doesn’t matter what you do. 👍🏻🙂
It doesn't matter on not waterproof iPhones but when the iPhone is waterproof and never got opened before you'll lose that waterproofness by replacing the battery
JustAnormalUser By the time it needs a new battery it will be 3 years old or more. Suffice to say ‘most’ folk will be upgrading, BUT, even with that said, I’ve never had a need for my phone to be waterproof. Even now I’ve an XS Max, if it went on a beach it would be in a bag protecting it.
Get the battery replaced from apple for 40$ until end of Dec, usually it costs 140$ or something to get it replaced. They will replace all the gas kits so you won’t loss waterproofing
After a year use of my 8 plus I landed with 95% so here is what I do now with my xs max. - I don't charge over night. Lithium batteries are built to be used not holding a 100% for an 8hour night cycle. - I use auto brightness. This keeps me from leaving my phone in standby at a staggering bright level. - my screen timeout is really short I think after 5 min or 1 that way I know it's in standby. - I close all my apps especially the ones I don't use often and keep location services on only a few apps I care for. - Charge when I need to before bed or during work. - after a month I tend to clear my ram or restart the phone twice or once a month So far it's been a good 2 months and I'm still at 100% I only do this cause I sell all my current phones when buying a new one. It's been a good practice since my 5c
Best things to save battery health is to charge your phone around 40-60% cuz it won’t take up a full charge cycle meaning that the battery can last longer that’s what I do and that’s how I maintain a 100% capacity still on a iPhone 8
To be honest, I don't really care about the battery life span. my phone is always charging. M not one of those people that let their phones battery goes down to 20 percent and start running around looking for charger. my iphone is always ready to be used :) oh I believe what you said there. overcharge your phone battery is a thing of the past. phones these days are so smart. they don't overcharge themself.
Ruv 83% for a 2 year phone is normal. It all depends on how much you use your phone and what you use it for. If you phone starts to heat up from a game or something or if you use phone phone A LOT then your battery capacity will go down a lot quicker than someone who only uses the phone for calls and to watch stuff sometimes
I have 95% battery life for 13 months now. - charge it when you’re on 21%, don’t wait for 20%. - when you’re phone is hot, stop using it. - disable unnecessary locations. - turn off unnecessary notifications.
The iPhone XS Max has good battery, here’s my plan. I plan on using it for 3 years. The first year, use it normally and it should last a whole day. The second year, start to use low power mode and try to get through most of the day. Then the last year, the battery bill get pretty bad. I plan on getting a battery case and hope it last a the last year till I get the next phone.
zollotech I always have my uag monarch case on my 7+ for more then 2 years and my batterie health is at 88%. I have almost 800 cycles because I went to the Genius Bar maybe 2 weeks ago.
Also I guess that since you have multiple devices, you don’t use your daily driver everyday full time. My girlfriend use an iPhone SE and an iPad and her battery health is at 98%. I’m at 89% because I only use my iPhone all day long. We got both iPhone on the same day.
i currently have an iphone 11 and i feel like breaking down rn bc my battery health was 100 7months ago and now it’s 94. idk even know what to do i want to cry omg
Thank you for sharing, Aaron. And also thank you for the wallpaper, it is really nice. Useful tech info and a new nice wallpaper every time makes your channel special!
Me too 😢 I’ve had my phone only 4 months that’s it 😳 and it went from 100% to 93% so quickly 😱 😱 😱 I only do one full cycle charge every night but I will stop doing the full cycle charges and instead charge every time it hits 30% to 50% instead to reduce the full cycle charges 🤔 💭 I will try his suggestions.
iPhone 11 user for 9 months and my battery is still at 99%. AVOID charging your phone to 100% and never use Fast Charger. Don’t use it if your battery is below 40% or over 80%. Again, just keep your battery to 40% - 80%.
I have 84% battery health. It was actually 93% before I upgraded to iOS 14 Beta tho, but tbh iOS 14 beta does work REALLY REALLY great on iPhone SE (1st gen)
1- Let it charge overnight. These days IOS controls it at %80 before you wake up, so its good. 2- Dont let your phone heat up. Especially at %100-%80 dont play games or other heavy things with your phone. 3- Never let it down %20 and below. %30-%40 Good time for charge if you are at home and will go for bed. Dont wait for %20 (in addition, when using your brand new phone first time, charge it to %100 after setup and you dont need to wait hours after full charge) 4- If phone is warm, let it cool 1-2 min. on table before plug in your charger. If possible, dont use your phone while its charging (it generates heat more using it while charging) 5- Dont let your phone facing against sun, heat things etc. (let it stay cool as long as possible) I had iphone 7 plus used these easy rules and used my phone extensively. 2 Years and it says %96 battery life. The person I sold the phone to couldn't believe it :)
what is the best percentage of battery to charge the iphone overnight? i have iphone 7+ i bought it april 2019 and now i checked my battery health and went down to 99% please help me thank you!
eXPeriencetech yeah, your phone is actually doing better than most, this is normal, maybe when it reaches 75% to 80%, maybe you should consider replacing the battery
After watching this video, I’ve come to the conclusion that looking at your battery’s maximum capacity is just as scary as checking your credit score for the first time. LOL
I know that this is more of a joke, but no it wouldn’t. The battery would slowly degrade, and it’s not good to keep the battery full for long periods of times
Charging full then storing? You will end up with a dangerously swelling batteries. There is a reason phones and laptops are always shipped with no morr than 60% charge ALL THE TIME
GloomySkiez - Mine is at 63% and it shuts down at 100% and goes back to 10%. Then I have to shut off again to go back to 100%. And my phone doesn't for more than one hour
@@cherif4585 But my rog 2 screen broke and I ordered a Screen for around 170$. But unfortunately I can't find a store right now in our area to get my phone fixed so I ordered a iPhone 12 pro max, at first I hesitate because I had some dislikes with my iphone years ago but it turned out well for me. I liked my pro max now it has great battery life too
I can agree with this entirely, I've always been a fairly heavy user and I tend to run phones with larger batteries, but my charging habits don't change, I got the SE 2020 on release (just some trials, since I'm an avid android user) and even with the extra cycles needed to charge it, since it's release date I've only lost about 1% which I find pretty good considering the pitiful battery size
I have had my iPhone 11 for 4 months now and im still at 100%. I thought it’s normal but i have seen a lot of comments which say that their health dropped after a month or even less. There is only one thing i do: i keep my iPhone between 30% and 70%, sometimes 20% and 80% if i need more. In addition to that i try not to use my iPhone at all while it’s charging. I also don‘t overuse it with intense games but i still got a decent screen on time by using social media a lot. Don‘t know if this helps someone lol. Edit: now on October 26th im still at 100% health.
After 6 months of use, my xr went down to 98%...I felt my heart break a little and my soul die a bit Edit: update..it deteriorated by another 2% and went down to 96% recently after about 2 months 🙃🙃
@Ferenc Darabos why does it go down? Do you use your phone while charging? Btw you got a cool phone i only have iphone 5 but im thankful i have a Iphone :)
joshua lucido Sometimes I use it while it’s charging but I always try to keep away from overcharging. Idk why maybe it’s a software problem but I will take it into the Apple store. That’s a good phone tho. I used to have 4 or 5 iPhone 5S and they’re still the best looking phones in my opinion.
These videos will confuse you everyone would say something different... But here are my person and honest tips that have worked with people I know. -DO NOT charge it to 100%. Preferably unplug it at 85-90%. -DO NOT drain it to 10%, its better to plug it straight into the charger when it hits 15%. -DO NOT game on it heavily, especially those high end very consuming games. -DO NOT use knock off or fake cheap chargers,Its better to not charge it using portable chargers or plugging it into other devices to charge, just use the charger from the box. -DO NOT expose the device to heat or the sun. Follow these and trust me you'll see your battery health percentage stuck in the same % for many months. Most important is the charging pattern, never let it reach 100% or 0%.
But I charge my iPhone 7 Plus from 0 to 70-75 and it’s battery health is at 94% after 5 years. It drop its battery health slowly after updating to iOS 13
