I was so tedious slow charging between 50-80% all the time but my batt went down to 91% after 6 months. I think it doesn’t matter how well you take care of your charging - if you expose your battery to heat (like when I travelled to a hot country), it reduces the capaity VERY fast.
It might be better to charge between 25% and 75%. This yielded the highest total energy output to 90% health. I assume the reason is that it keeps the battery close to 50% and avoids those higher charge states. Charging 40% to 60% might be better but that is impractical. Case 2: 75-25% SoC has 3,000 cycles (to 90% capacity) and delivers 150,000 EU. Utilizes 50% of battery. (EV battery, new.)
For more than 1 year I had on my 13 Pro, 100% battery life. I didn't follow any of the rules like "Charge only to 80%" etc. However, I very rarely charged it at night and also very rarely used it while I was charging it. I never used a wireless charger if that interests anyone. I currently have 98% after about 14 months of purchase.
Very interesting. My 12 Mini battery is at 86% after about 29 months. I used wireless charging almost from day one. But I think it was this that did the damage, subjecting the phone to excessive heat. I’ve reverted to wired charging now, hoping to slow down battery deterioration.
I use a 13 pro max I bought in September 2022. It’s been 13 months and 11 days of usage but my battery is still at 100 percent. I keep my phone’s battery between 40 and 80 percent and I might not be a heavy user but a moderate one with 4-5 hours of screen on time every day. Even I barely use my phone while it is charging. And I take my phone cover off if it heats while charging. Just simple precautions I guess. Also, I live in India where it is really hot in summers (upto 40 degree centigrade).
This video from start to finish is BS. The best way to measure battery health is to play RU-vid in landscape at maximum brightness and see how much it discharges after a couple of hours and how long it takes to discharge completely. I do all nearly all the wrong things. I completely discharge and charge to 100% every day using cheap cables and fast chargers. The only thing I don't do is use wireless charging as it's not only slow, it cooks both the phone's battery AND components. After almost 2 years, I have a cycle count of 628 (about 1 a day). My battery health is at 88% and both my RU-vid measures are about 10% worse. This guy can take his genuine chargers, cables & MagSafes and stick them up his Apple pushing 🍑 from which they came out of.
I’m on 100% after 14 months on the iPhone SE 3. I only used wireless charging for a few weeks by accident as I didn’t know the car had it until I got this phone last year
@@hackbotogaming There is no way any battery can be at full capacity after more than a year of use. I suggest your fuel gauge ain't working. Only the RU-vid usage test is full proof but you need a day 1 point of reference. I suggest do it now and then again in 6 and 12 months to give you a picture of what's really going on.
The only thing that matters is not exposing the phone to substantial heat or cold. I did whatever I wanted with my 14 Pro and stayed at 100% but I lived in a very good climate and always with A/C. I traveled for 2 weeks in extreme heat in Spain (+35°C every day) and health went down to 94%. In just 2 weeks!
😅Where I stay it gets as hot as 40°C frequently, I plan on buying a 14 plus to use for 3 years and trade it in. So I guess I'll change the battery somewhere along the journey
@@Sheppydope Yeah, even though now that I have returned to my city, with coconut battery I see the health returned to 96% after a few daysbut in the iPhone settings still shows the 94%, so for resale this is what they'll see.
I have my Iphone 14 pro max since november 2022, and the battery is still at 100%. What I do: - Charge ONLY with 5 watt charger, as it makes a linear charge and dont heat the battery at all. - Charge it at night time. - NEVER using it while charging it. - I dont use it under the sun unless its totally necesary as it can get extremly hot. - If Im playing some games or whatching a lot of tiktoks, I check the temperature of the phone every 10 minutes, and once It starts to get warm, i stop using it. - If, for example, I have a 50% at the end of the day, i charge it the next morning while working when its about 30% and before launchtime when its about 70-80% I disconect it so at the end of the day im at 30% for example. I think the most important ones are the first and the third point. It might seems as im a little bit paranoid, but I think I'm just taking care of a reeeally expensive device and I want it to last 5-6 years as my Iphone X did ^^ Hope It helps you!
if you start checking the temperature every 10 minutes it now reaches a point where you're in obsessive behavior. Theres a lot more value in using the device and enjoying it than prioritizing a cheap replaceable part and being distracted with overprotecting it. The odds are by the time 5-6 years pass you will have lost, broken or upgraded the phone anyway where like the guy says, it wont matter.
Yeah, I don't do all that and it definitely isn't needed. I have the same phone, and I'm at a 100%. Had the phone since November. What I do is not let my iPhone get below 30%, and I do use the 20 watt charger. The iPhone 14 is better at regulating its temperature better than the previous iPhones. I am surprised to still be at a 100% given I use my phone a lot. One thing I do not do is play games that heat up my phone, but regardless of that my average screen time is 7hr plus every day. I could also just simply be lucky and got the best battery in my iPhone.
I don’t know if my iphone was the odd case, but after exactly one year i still had 100% capacity on my iphone 14 pro max. I was very careful throughout the year, i charged it to 100% maybe once per week, never left it charging over night and never let battery drain under 20%. It definitely worked for me. I tried to sell the phone and people thought i had replaced the battery because they couldn’t believe the battery was still at full capacity 😅.
Battery health on my iPhone 6 stayed at 100% for 3 and a half years. Got a replacement after throttle gate November 2018. Battery health today is 92%. It’s been at 92 for a year now. Never let it get below 35-40% health. And I never charge past 97%. Definitely upgrading in September. Can’t complain about getting over 8 years from an iPhone. 👍🏻 Update Sept 16- battery health all the way down to 90%. Upgrading to the 13 or 14.
100% agree with that last part. Just use your iPhone as you want. Too many folks, especially on Reddit, keep asking for best charging practices and ways to keep battery health degradation. Some people swear by slow charging, some actually try that stupid 80/20 rule. So much mental energy is being put into battery anxiety. I tell people the same thing….it’s a smartphone and it will automatically do all those things for you. If it gets too hot it will dim the screen and even shut off. Fast charging slows down after a certain point to preserve battery health. It’s bad enough we have financial anxiety. We don’t need to add battery anxiety to the list. Enjoy and use the phone. Find other ways to make extra money because nothing is doing that for you automatically. 😂😂
@@FuzzyDlop What’s ignorant is that I never said that the 80/20 rule didn’t work. I said that people have tired it. Meaning spending extra mental energy and time out their lives to charge in such an impractical way. From the research I’ve read the 80/20 rule only saves about 1-2% of battery health. It’s not worth all that effort to save 2% battery health. Everyone is free to do that if they want. But at that point they’re not enjoying the phone anymore just worrying about battery health. So before you start looking for flaws in someone’s comment you should research true long term effects and multiple considerations that can contribute to effects to the 80/20 rule. You should spend your time doing something more constructive.
My 14 pro max I got on launch went from 100% to 99% TODAY lol. I only use magsafe and it’s plugged in overnight and about an hour throughout the day on magsafe in my car. I was blown away it wasn’t lower yet 😂
I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max and I only use a magsafe charger such as the Belkin Boost Charge Pro. After 3 years, my battery health is at 90 percent, this is because I don't use my phone until the batter dies but, rather I try to keep the battery between 80 and 40 percent of it's capacity when I'm on the go. In most cases I've never gone below %50 and kept it from overheating as much as possible. All this is why my batter health is where it is.
Power user here. I charge when in need and keep it shaded. I also use wireless charging overnight. My 14 pro is now at 87% health and I plan on getting it changed in September of the year when the iPhone 17 releases, and to switch my 14 Pro for the 20 pro, or XX pro, or xXx however they call it
I have had my 14pro for more than a year (since september last year) and it's still on 100%. Always charging with a 10W original charger from 20 to 80 aprox. Never more than 90% or less than 20/19%.
My iPhone 12 Pro Max was 100% battery house for 11 months my 13 promax was 100% battery health for 13 months and so far with my 14 promax is still 100% battery health are use the Apple 5W block I do not fast charge I do not wireless charge I do not MagSafe charge I take my phone case off while playing games I use low power mode a lot like everyday not just around 20% it has worked so well for me over the years
@@armygaming29 the last time I fast charged any of my iPhones was the iPhone X for sure lots of wireless charging lots of fast charging and the iPhone XS Max much less wireless charging much less fast charging with the 11 promax I had 99 battery health at around 11 months and that’s when I realized what I was doing wrong and now ever since my battery health has absolutely been amazing
@@user-nc5oe3ht5y Apple does a great job of charging your iPhone periodically at night. Your iPhone does not charge all night when kept plugged in and charging all night is completely fine and has no effect on health (considering your room/charge place is cool if it’s hot or warm, don’t charge all night, your phone should feel completely cold after a full charge in the morning). Health drain depends on charge and drain cycle, it’s best practice to keep your iphone between 45-80 at all times, charge when ever you can, I do this unconsciously like it’s my second nature. My iPhone 14 has 99% health after 9 months. Last tip stop worrying about battery health, it’s not worth it.
I've had my 14 Pro Max for over a year and it's still at 100% with 135 charge cycles. The design capacity is 4323 mAh and the current full charge capacity is 4346 mAh. The current battery age is 492 days. I fully charge it every day with the old 5 watt charger. Things I stay away from - wireless chargers, fast chargers, heat sources. Things I do - Slow charge it 100% EVERY NIGHT. I place it in the path of my car's ac vents when using it in the summer to keep the batteries from overheating because using it in the car with direct sunlight, bluetooth, music, and GPS it gets very hot very fast.
I got my 14 Pro Max at launch day and today it turned to 99%. No matter what, I always change my battery at Apple if I see it below 90%. Although I never see that number since I change my phone every year. But for those who think a low health battery is the end of their small world. No it is not. REPLACE for $70. Don’t eat at a restaurant 2 times every 2 years and you will have a new phone again…
Easy to say when it’s coming from someone who is rich enough to buy a new phone every year. Most of the people can’t afford that even if they don’t eat from a restaurant.
@@kaleidoscopeon yeah, the ignorance on people giving financial life advices, when so many of us are struggling and they even mention "although I change my phone every year". And there's another factor as well: if you update your iOS, no matter how new the battery, they're purposely sabotaging their own phones to force you buy another one. Apple has got to be one the most vile companies in the world.
@@kaleidoscopeon I agree with you to an extent. I have a stable financial life but by no means I am rich. I still think if you really have plans, it is easy to save up for a battery every 2 years. Also, iPhones are considered expensive products so someone who has afforded an iPhone, to me it doesn’t make sense if they can’t afford a battery for it. It it like I drive a high end Mercedes and then I can’t afford the gas! That is my opinion though
I just completed exactly one year with my iphone 14 pro and i just checked the battery life and lo and behold it is still 100 percent and to be fair I use it like a normal person and charge it every single day without zny special care for the battery
I don't know how accurate Accubatterry is but based on my charging cycles the best percentage would be 25-65%. Charging your phone like this would only add up to 0.03 cycles according to Accubattery with an efficiency rating of 887%. If you charge your phone 2.5 time like this you would only use 0.075 cycles instead of the 1 full cycle charging from 0 to 100%.
When I found this guy’s video, I immediately realize that the battery health indicator or battery health status or what not is Apple’s plan from the start to expand business.
It is possible to keep it at 100 for a while but not forever. Some articles I've read said fast charging doesn't do enough to really affect battery health compared to normal charging. I think so long as you limit things using excessive battery in the background and keep your device out of extreme temps then you should be just fine
I have my 13 pro max 256 for 16 months still at 100%! Always on power saving mode ande charging all the time before it gets below 70% with an apple official fast charger!
My xr is currently at 88% since i first got it in 2018. I use a fast charger, use my phone daily. Climate id say is a factor, but mainly id say try not always charging to 100%, 90-88% is fine.
I got my iPhone 14 Pro Max on launch day. My battery health is still 100%. I never charge with a. MagSafe since it makes too much heat, I only use a wire. Second I charge the phone with the screen facing down so the battery can stay cool (my phone is in case). Finally, I charge at 20% and only go up to 80%. I only charge to 100% like once every couple weeks. Currently at IOS 7.03.
I have had my iPhone 14 Pro for 13 months and the battery health is still 100%. I charge it once per day and use it normally. I am personally floored with how long the battery lasts, coming from an iPhone 11
I change my phones battery every 1.5 years and i keep my phone for 3-4 years. I dont do all this inconvinient bullshit I charge my phone with a slow charge during night time and take it off at 100% That peace of mind of having the most important device at anytime ready to be used is priceless. I dont mind paying an extra 30 bucks for 1 or two batteries.
I only use the Apple 5W charger overnight with a Wi-Fi plug that has a timer to only charge for 3 hours before I usually wake up and then shuts off. iPhone 14 Pro max with 100% battery health and I’ve had the phone since launch
Use a 5W (5v/1A) Charger and only charge it from 40% up to 80%. Set automations for those charge Limits. I personally charge my iPhone 14 Pro only up to 80%. Battery Saving Kicks in automatically at 50% and I almost never let it discharge below 60%. But thats just me. Take your phone out of its case while Charging to prevent heat build-up. Those Things apply to ALL Lithium Ion batteries. No matter if its apple, Samsung, OnePlus or Tesla. Those batteries feel best between 40% and 80%. I feel like apple should remove the health number. It makes People OCD like crazy myself included.
And then what is the outcome of all this hassle? Doing all this to use the phone for 1 more year? How about replacing your battery at Apple with a brand new one for $70 which means less than $3/month every 24 months…
One should know that the original factory battery is always more than >100%. But it will only shows as 100% as the maximum. If your has around 120%, it will take a considerate amount of time to drop from 100% to 99% to show in the phone. But once it dropped to 99%, 99% to 98, 97% will be quite fast.
I use a 30 watt charger for iPhone. I don't like the idea of leaving it overnight. I do keep an eye on it so it doesn't go over 80% and have a automation to alert once it does reach 80% charge.
I bought a iPhone 14 Pro around release and I'm at 89% battery capicity right now. I watched the battery capacity go from 97% capacity in March and has significantly gone down since.
I have an iPhone 13 Mini which stayed at 100% for exactly one year. I use 20W adapter without considering slow charging and all that, what I did is to charge at least before 20%… However, after that 1 year mark, I left my phone at 0% for three times I think and it dropped to 99%. 1 year and 8 months later, my battery health is at 76%.
UPDATE: Just had my battery replaced to an Apple authorized store and my batt health is at 100% again. And the device still slays!!!! I just noticed that iOS 16 is more battery efficient if that makes sense? My phone lasts longer than the previous iOS. My average screen on time is at 6hrs.
I bought the iphone 12 in may 2022, and it dropped to 99% a few months ago. I think I'm doing great at preserving my battery, I've seen some people with iphones 13 with like 85%...
@@reyzcc I’m always between 20% and 80% charge, I manage to always stay in this area because full charge is bad for battery as well as totally empty. I also never charge over night, so I can unplug it whenever it reaches 80%. And I also don’t use my phone 24/7 because I’m not addicted to social medias so I spend about 1h30 per day on my phone in average, I guess that helps too.
I've got 100% after one year of ownership on my 14 pro max. I always slow charge. rarely charge above 70% ( but I do charge to 100% if I need it ). Almost NEVER go below 15%. I do NOT daily charge. I usually charge every 2nd or 3rd day. I usually charge to 60-70%. Also, when in my car. It's charge is only 5v... I think this is the secret.. Keep the battery cool.
I had a iphone 12 mini for a entire year, used it about 20 mins every day and had 2 day charge. I let it drain to 30% and recharge to 100% after 1 year i still had 100% battery health, same thing i did with a Android phone (use a battery app to check how mutch Miliamper battery you have and charged) i reached 99% there so i don't think it matters if you reach 80% if you start charging at 30% afterall it's not the charging that ruins the battery but rather the heat so if the phone is cold then it should be fine but you shouldnt do this for long periods of time. Perhaps a expert can come in here and prove me wrong
@@mikoajkonieczny5406 yeah but on the other hand, the second option gives a limited usage of a phone, i mean u save battery but you use around 60% of the whole capacity
@@krelle1613I’ve been doing this for like 4 months and now I’m so frustrated and tired of being so careful with when and how much I charge the batt that now I’m thinking to quit this and just use all capacity and charge it whenever it needs to
according to battery university, cycling your battery between 65-75% could let you optimise the charging even better, because even with the 80% limit setting of the 15 Pro models enabled the phone will still get pretty warm when charging from a low state to 80 in one go. With this 10% range I get around 10-15 minutes of charging time and a good 2 hours of video streaming will have it back at 65 triggering an automation that reminds me to plug it in. Unfortunately you can't limit the capacity to 75% so I'm having the 80% limit turned on just in case I forget to unplug it, but usually there's another automation activated when reaching 75 and another one when rising over so I don't have to check when to unplug
I have an iPhone 14pro and I use it every day, I charge it every night and it still has 100% battery health. It averages 12-13 hours screen on-time using wifi.😮
Got a 13 pro max since december, its currently at %90 battery health. Charged whenever I want and and removed whenever I want. Using anker powerport 3 nano since out of the box. Only thing I paid attention was never draining the battery fully
My iPhone 14 Plus already down to 87% battery health in 10 months of usage. I am a really heavy user. I charged the phone when I wanted to. I charged while playing games for hours. I charged while I sleep. I use my phone as it should. Why buy expensive product but babycare it. Just use your phone without doubtful. Enjoy your device. When the time comes, just spend some money and change your battery. Just simple as that 😅
Mine just dropped to 99% in the battery health after having it for almost a year now on my 14 Pro Max. I use the Apple battery back for when I need it. I only use my Anker 622 for when I need the stand, but I don’t keep it on for long to avoid it getting too hot. I leave the Optimized Battery setting on since I charge at night. I’m also using a Belkin 3-1 MagSafe certified charger.
i just switch fron andriod to iphone and wow i am surprised how much problem iphone has specially with battery . with my old andriod phone it took only 30 mins to charger it fully
I had my iphone 12 at 85% after 3 years. I always charged it fast. The only trick is that i never kept it overnight. Other friends i have were on 85% after one year charging slow and overnight.
I kept my iPhone 14 Pro battery health to 100% for 364 days! at 365, it has dropped to 99%. I use the 20w Apple charger and charge to 100% usually every 1.5 days. I charge it when it's around 20%, 19% or so. So no crazy stuff BUT I feel that heat is what kills the longevity of a battery therefore I'd never use a wireless charger AND I'd never leave it charging over night. I tend to unplug it within an hour or so of it hitting 100%. I did the same with my old iPhone SE (Apple 5W charger) and at 7 years old, the battery health is still at 87%. Simular story for my MacBooks where the battery lasted 6 years before it needed replacing. (I've now upgraded to the 14" MacBook Pro and it's insanely incredible in every way!).
My 14 PM had a 100% battery health after a year and it was only charged wirelesley and optimised charging was never turned on as I hate it, because when I charge my phone I want a 100% charge every time. I don't do anything special, just charge it normally every 1 to 3 days depending on usage. I upgrade my iPhone every year since the 3GS and as long as we have been able to see battery health I've never seen mine go below 97%. Even my Ultra 1 was at 99% after a year,,again no optmised charging crap.
After my 6s plus went down the battery, I upgraded it into mod battery which is no percentage in battery health. No worries and my phone can beat the new models now 😁
I still have 100% after 6 months on my 14 Pro max. Only got it to 15% once since I got it and I charge it with the usb via my pc. I just plug it in at the end of the day and never have any issues.
I’ve had my iPhone 13 just over nine months and I thought I’d try an experiment were I only charge it from about 40-80 % and have never charged it over night and only charged it to 100 % a few times eg on a road trip using CarPlay. 9 months later it’s still claiming 100% capacity but I agree with the end of the video it’s not really worth having to think about it all the time. I did have an 11 before this and charged it every night and didn’t think about when I plugged it in within 3 months it dropped a percentage but I felt like I lived the phone I don’t feel that way with this phone with how I use it. Also I’ve found when charging it to only 80 percent and using it at work for short bursts at a time and using social media at break times because it’s not charged up a lot and it goes down it kinda tricks your brain into thinking you’ve got a bad battery wer as if charged fully it would be at a higher percentage by the end of the day making you think I’ve got a great battery. All in all ya not really worth thinking about it all the time just use the phone. Good video, enjoyed someone else’s perspective on it.
@@reyzcc when it was brand new I used it lightly and along the way started using it heavily. I recently updated ios 16.6.1 and I degraded by one percent from 16.2 now it is showing 93% battery health, I just don’t ever charge it over night and never charge it to full 100% more of 97% to 90% but when I know I’ll need more battery I charge it all way to 100 or closer to 100%. When I do charge it when it hits 30% or just don’t let the battery 🪫 get to red level.
I got an iPhone 15 pro.. bought oct 2023… just barely today.. 6/30/2024 it went to 99%.. I let it die accidentally and right away charged it to 100 but lost a percentage.. my trick is to never let it die.. I charge to 100 and then unplug right away.. not leaving it plugged more than 15 mins after it hits 100. Never ever charge at night to let it overcharge.. did that with iPad mini and battery went to 93% in 5months
1. Never charge over night. 2. Keep battery between 25-75%. I do this (mostly) and my 3 year old 13 Pro Max is at 92%. If you buy the bigger phone you get a bigger battery and it’s less of an issue.
Why never charge overnight if you have the 80% limit? The reason you shouldn’t charge overnight is because if your battery is at 100% for long time, it stresses the battery and it degrades faster.
Battery % is not accurate since Apple “cheats” with how it’s calculated. Cycle counts are what’s really important. I just bought a used iPhone 14PM with 165 cycles and 100% battery. It shouldn’t be 100% with 165 cycles, should be more like 98% at best. But since Apple uses numbers that exceed the max battery capacity to start with it ends up skewing the % numbers. So I look at cycles to get a better idea of what the real % would be. Apple says 500 cycles would put the battery around 80% capacity. So mine is about 30% of the 500 cycles. And why does Apple only allows iPhone 15’s to show cycles in settings is stupid. There’s no reason that this couldn’t be on lower models. My advice is to use the phone’s internal battery as least amount as possible by using either a portable charger or wall charger whenever possible. That’s what I do and it works to prevent extra cycles that would kill the battery.
The best way in my opinion is to use the phone for a short time and to charge it once per 2 days until 85% and once per week to 100% plus reboot for a better optimized performance.
💯 agreed Mai s20 ultra use krta tha... baadme just for change iphone 13 pro max liya...lekin ios ke siva camera etna khas nahi laga. Pixels are best in class for photograpu
Just don't charge it while you sleep. I played 3d games and used the camera a lot on my iPhone 11 but it took 2 years for battery health to become 99%. But when it became 97% it started dropping 1% every month so that algorithm is like fake or something. Just swap the battery when you think it doesn't last as long as you expected. Those battery health numbers are not that accurate in my opinion.
I got a iPhone 14 Pro Max that I bought right at launch, now after 16 months I still got 100% battery capacity. I upgraded from a iPhone Xs (after 4 years 92% battery capacity) so the difference in battery life is insane. I had to charge my old phone basicly everyday and now I get 2-3 days of battery life depending if I use it more or less. If it interests you guys I only charged my phone with magsafe after 2-3 days when the battery is around 20-30% and then charged it to 100%. My dad got the same 14 Pro Max at launch and uses it more, he uses around 50% of the battery a day and recharges it via magsafe every night to 100% (with the optimized battery charge enabled and I dont use that) he now has 92% battery health. What do you guys think why its that low on my dads? Is it the 2-3x more times he charges it, even if its not a full battery cycle or is it the higher use in general (in theory its x2 what I spend on my phone)
iOS 16 my battery Health literally every point update it was dropping 1-2% to finally 94% after 15-16 months . It used to be 100% and I didn’t do anything different except now I actually got rid of the lock screen widgets and turned off more battery draining settings. it still drained the battery even worst and the battery Health dropped even more. iOS 16 is a battery killer and so buggy. 15 Was Way better with battery life and stability. now I’m having a charge my phone more often than before and the battery is draining faster. I’ve tried all the tricks and researched a lot, nothing worked, and I’m hearing a lot of feedback from other RU-vidrs and friends the batteries draining really fast.
I have an iPhone 13 pro max, I've had it for a year, my battery is at 100% health, you just don't need to charge it to 100% to 95% max or your battery is low
It has nothing to do with how you charge your phone. Just don't play high intensive mobile games, and don't watch tiktok on your phone. I have a PC and a laptop and I watch tiktok and play games there because they eat up the battery the most.
7:29 the phone will show 100% wen the battery (in mah) is higher than the AVERTISD battery (in mah) so that why the battery will stay at 100% for a long time than dip way faster ons it hits 99%. And that also the reason why shortcut will show a different % than the iPhone because the shortcut % is based on the original coppasety (in mah) and the iPhone on the advertised mah which is always LESS than what you get.
My 13 pro max was 100% after a 159-cycle count (in 23.5 months). I'm not a heavy user I never used slow charging; in fact, I did not even know that slow charging existed in iOS until now 😄 I always kept my battery from 30-78% and used low power mode😎
The battery is chemistry. Design Copasity is simply the minimum capacity value guaranteed by the manufacturer. Of course, how fast the battery capacity drops depends on how you use the device. But you may also have a battery that has a capacity slightly higher than Design Copasity or very close to Design Copasity. That's why some people's percentages drop faster than others, even with careful use. For example, someone has a new battery that has a actual Full Charge Copacity of 110% of Design Copasity, and someone else has 102%. But Apple doesn't show more than 100%, but Full Charge Copacity is still taken into account. That's why someone can have 100% for a long time, and someone can have 97% in the second month.
I mean, if you’re spending €1200 on a phone, you can probably afford the €100 battery replacement two years down the line. It’s mostly about keeping it away from sunlight and poor thermal conductors like clothes when charging, or not using it while it’s plugged in. That way you can rest assured you’re only gonna see a 5% drop every year at most. I stop charging at 95% and don’t let it drop under 20%
