Stacked hard on the Downieville Downhill in June. Not the craziest trail, but not the easiest either. Pedal strike sent me OTB. So thankful to be wearing a fully. Otherwise my face, jaw, and teeth would be toast. Trigger saved my a$$
I want one for the massive hills on the roads around here with all the cars . If I come off well you can only imagine lol . Also be good for a few off roads Tracks obviously . I went over the handle bars head first when I was biking and it split the helmet in two when I was young , was just a cheap junkie helmet . But at least it saved my life . Kind of value my life more now I'm 44 . Be cool to mount a camera on it . One time I was on the way to work , and didn't know ice was on the road on this windy hill . Put the brakes on drifted left and right the most of the way down the hill and had to drift around this car when they pulled out in front of me on the round about rofl . I didn't know there was ice on the road until I had picked up speed and tried to brake .
I cheaped out and went fly racing Rayce... But I mainly bought as a fall/winter night ride lid.. May get this helmet or project 23 helmet for warm season..
Is the Trajecta DH certified? Not all Enduro style ones are and their site wasn't real clear. Also the Aircraft2 is on sale many places for the same price, how much heavier does the Aircraft2 feel in real life?
Thanks for the review! It is time for a new helmet, maybe a full-face this time. I only wear a helmet if I'm riding: a Black trail, or a new to me bike, or I have no idea where I am going and what hazards I will be riding through. But that will change in the near future because I'm getting more cautious. Considering upper body armor now too, so thanks for those reviews as well. Shoes, Gloves, Padded shorts, and hydration Pack are always worn.
Would it be silly to use this helmet for enduro and trail riding on my dirt bike? I'm not usually going over 15-25 mph on my dirt bike in the trails and feel this helmet would be perfect for that kind of thing.. I feel MTB riders sometimes are going faster than me..
We certainly wouldn’t want to be responsible for promoting that behavior for obvious reasons… there are certain certifications on moto helmets for a reason, while yes, your speed is similar to that of an MTB in trials and enduro type riding, the weight of the bike should it fall on your head certainly could be catastrophic compared to a stiff DOT or ECE helmet. At the least, we’d probably ride in a full blown DH helmet as they’re a bit stiffer and still more ventilated than most moto lids… but we have seen people riding slower trails in helmets like this. Not something we’d do, but, we see why.
Well that's up to you and what trails you're riding, how hard you are pushing your skills, etc... We've done both depending on the day, but if we're eBiking, full face all the way.
I wanted to love these full face helmets (Trajecta) but with the padding system in plain sight, just touching it can get it dirty, especially being white, it's unacceptable. I love the fluo red version, but I won't buy it. It's a shame really. Big mistake to make that design decision for something that will be used in muddy places, or with greasy hands. How will you clean that up afterwards... forget it, 100% you broke my heart. 💔
