Pfaltgraff is very common here in the south. The goodwills are full of the dishes. But I have never seen a set that beautiful . Great find.

Butcher’s Broom is plant. The root is used to help ease the pain, leg cramps,leg swelling, itching, varicose veins. I took it when I had kidney stones. Witch Hazel is also a plant. I’ve used this for for similar things.

Also, that last cup had hardened soap that was brushed onto a man’s face to shave. The brush is missing but one could find one easily. What a beauty.

I remember the Calumet baking powder. There was a heavy paper liner on top that you cut in half then pulled out so there was a straight edge to level the baking powder off when you measured it.

I have been collecting old spice cans since I was 12 years old. First ones I got were from my dads mom and she passed away when I was 9. Im now 2 days shy of my 54 birthday. I have 30 to 40 small spice cans in a book shelf. I love to go to thrift stores and find some there. Grandma Ventures makes a good commercial person. Love your channel and vidios.

Yes you can still buy Orris root, it is used in making potpourri. Mace is a spice often used in mulled wine. My late Dad used to say Camel cigarettes were made from camel dung haha.

Hi, Witch Hazel is from a plant, Witch Hazel, I often bought it in WalMart when I was in the States. It’s very soothing just rub in your skin ..good for itchy skin. I used to remove makeup...no Wade it’s not witchcraft. As for the crackers Jacobs Cream Crackers..good with butter and cheese. They are made in England and I buy them often here in Iceland. All of those weird medicine like ingredients you can get them in health stores. Beautiful canister set. Love the Christmas box. You can get orris root in health food stores. Mace is good in Greek dishes.

I use witch hazel. It’s great for cleaning your oily face in the summer and it’s great for mosquito bites. Witch hazel is also a plant. Yes, you can buy orris root. It has many applications. Boric acid was used for treating yeast and viral infections. Now we use it to kill roaches. “Falltz graph” Phaltzgraf is made here locally. In PA. Holt Howard is very collectible! Those two scary things look like old seeders. Aha! I was right. On eBay they are around $25. Grandma is right. You would use the tubing to irrigate wounds, etc. My favorite is the tins.

At 42:38 The white tray is what our dental insturments were in during a procedure. This was in about 1964. These were steralized & clean insturments placed for each patient. Hope this helped you.

Oh my goodness, I haven't heard of Butcher's Broom is decades!! My grandmother used to make it and take it for arthritis and inflammation. It's from a plant, I'm not sure what the name of it is, if it's not Butcher's Broom...what a blast from the past!!

irrigator tubing is for saline. Surgery is messy and sometimes saline is used to rinse things off. Infections are irrigated with saline + antibiotics. Vacuum systems then remove the excess fluid. Old gloves and rubber is dry rotted so they crack and break. People are also allergic to latex, so nowadays, surgical tubing and supplies are made of non-allergenic materials.

You can’t split up the canister set. The trivet serving dish and salt and pepper shaker can go separately but the canisters must go together otherwise you can’t put flowers sugar tea and coffee in them. They are a set!!!

You can still buy Jacobs cream crackers only they come in a packet now. They have nothing to do with cream, they are for cheese and biscuits.

Wade both of you really need to have gloves on, while handle any the bottles of medication. I work in a museum and we were instructed to always wear gloves when handling old medication. some medications become very dangers.

Sloans linament is not for drinking, it is used for sprains etc. great for bringing out bruising.My Dad used to smoke when i was a kid in the late 50s and his cigarettes came in tins, I think it was to stop them from drying out and crushing them if you accidently sat down with them in your back pocket.
